76: Chapter 76 Don't be shy, I'm here.

The next day, early in the morning, Jiang Che woke up very early. By the time he had bought breakfast for the Stinky Girl and set out again, it wasn't even 7 o'clock.

In just over ten minutes, Jiang Che found his way to An Ran's door. After he knocked, the door opened quickly.

"Did you not sleep well last night?" After handing the breakfast to An Ran, Jiang Che walked into the room, looked at the slightly lethargic An Ran, and asked curiously.

An Ran rolled her eyes at him with a charming air, then said softly, "I don't usually get up this early on weekends."

"Oh~" Jiang Che nodded. Then, he looked at the breakfast in An Ran's hands, then looked at her, and the next second...

"Ah, what are you doing?"

An Ran, suddenly swept up into Jiang Che's arms, let out a cry of surprise.

"If you eat breakfast, you won't be able to fall back asleep. Come, I'll carry you back to your room. I woke up early too, and I'm quite sleepy right now."

"You rascal, put me down." An Ran struggled slightly.

Jiang Che remained unmoved and continued carrying An Ran back to her bedroom.

After Jiang Che placed her on the bed, An Ran's cheeks flushed slightly. Yesterday, she had thought he was just joking about taking a nap, but she hadn't expected...

Just as she was feeling flustered and letting her imagination run wild, Jiang Che pulled the quilt from the side and covered her snugly with it.

An Ran looked at Jiang Che in slight astonishment, which was then met with a whispered remark: "What? I said I'd let you take a nap while I dozed off on the side—are you unhappy with that?"

Instantly, realizing she had misunderstood, An Ran's ears turned slightly red, and she softly chided, "Jerk."

Jiang Che was in a great mood. Ignoring the blush on An Ran's face, he leaned down slightly and kissed her on the forehead. "Be good, go to sleep. I haven't eaten breakfast either; we'll eat together when we wake up."

Hearing this, An Ran looked at him for several seconds. Seeing that he had no other intentions, she rested her head on the pillow, closed her eyes, and fell asleep quietly.

Jiang Che wrapped his arm around An Ran's shoulders, leaned against the headboard, and also pretended to close his eyes, then began counting in his heart.

Sure enough, just after reaching twelve, An Ran couldn't help but open her eyes. Seeing Jiang Che sitting properly against the headboard, she hesitated for two seconds and said, "You should lie down too."

"Hmm?" Jiang Che feigned surprise as he opened his eyes. "Lie down?"

An Ran's face turned slightly red. "Sleeping like this is uncomfortable, and you'll easily catch a cold."

Jiang Che was delighted inside; this trick really worked.

"Alright, then I'll get under the covers to sleep too. We'll sleep for about an hour, and then we can have breakfast when we wake up."

With that said, Jiang Che expertly took out clothes from the cabinet where An Ran had taken her pajamas last time. After changing, he lay down directly and covered himself with the quilt.

Inside the quilt, it was very warm, and it carried that faint scent from An Ran's body.

Just as An Ran was asking herself if she was being too indulgent with him, Jiang Che suddenly turned over and hugged her.

An Ran widened her eyes, her gaze carrying a hint of shyness as she stared straight at Jiang Che, who also had his eyes open.

"Don't misunderstand. I... I can't fall asleep if I'm not holding something."

An Ran's heartbeat gradually sped up. She had expected this guy to do something to her, but after hugging her, he actually closed his eyes again and fell asleep without moving at all.

She watched him for a full minute, and seeing that he really had no other intentions, she breathed a sigh of relief, though she also began to slightly doubt her own attractiveness to him.

Jiang Che just held An Ran in his arms like that and slept comfortably for a nap. By the time he opened his eyes again, An Ran's phone alarm was ringing.

He checked the time; it was 8:30 in the morning.

An Ran also woke up. She had originally thought she wouldn't be able to fall asleep, but resting in Jiang Che's arms was so comfortable and reassuring that she had actually slept soundly for over an hour.

The two locked eyes, and An Ran couldn't help but flush red.

"Good morning." Jiang Che greeted her with a smile.

"Morning." An Ran avoided his gaze and said softly.

After a few seconds of silence, Jiang Che asked another question: "Are you hot?"

An Ran was a bit confused, but she still shook her head.

"I'm a little hot."

Then... there was a rustling sound under the covers, and soon, a piece of clothing was tossed out. Immediately after, An Ran's voice came, sounding somewhat embarrassed and annoyed:

"You, you're the one who's hot, why are you taking off my clothes?"

"I've had enough sleep; it's time to eat."

"Jerk, let me go, hmm..." An Ran struggled slightly, but halfway through, she suddenly furrowed her brows and tilted her chin up slightly.

...

Back at the rental apartment, Jiang Ning's alarm had also just gone off.

After putting on her pajamas, Jiang Ning rubbed her sleepy eyes, slowly walked out of her room, then stood at the door of Jiang Che's room and knocked.

"Brother, Brother?"

After knocking several times with no response, Jiang Ning finally opened the door directly.

The room was empty.

Turning her head, Jiang Ning saw the breakfast on the table. She walked over and touched it; it was still slightly warm, so he must have been gone for a while.

Jiang Ning pouted slightly. "Getting up so early and not calling me, you big jerk."

However, a moment later, looking at the breakfast he hadn't forgotten to prepare for her even though he got up early, the corners of Jiang Ning's mouth couldn't help but curl up slightly.

"Hmph, I'll let it slide since you remembered to buy me food. But... getting up early on a Sunday seems really tiring. He wouldn't be going to the company to work overtime on manual labor, would he?"

After saying that, Jiang Ning thought for a moment. She didn't eat the breakfast but instead returned to her room to continue sleeping—except this time... she went back to Jiang Che's room to sleep in his bed.

On the other side, the early-rising Jiang Che was indeed having a bit of a hard time, but he wasn't alone.

An Ran's eyes were unfocused. At first, she struggled slightly, but before long, she became half-reluctant and half-willing, actively or passively cooperating with this jerk, Jiang Che.

Jiang Che gently and patiently kissed the corners of her mouth and her eyes. A moment later, he patted her gently, leaned into her ear, and whispered something.

An Ran opened her eyes, looking at him with a sense of bewilderment and confusion.

Jiang Che whispered and repeated it in her ear again, then added a few more words of explanation.

After hearing it, An Ran, who was already feeling restless, suddenly felt... a bit thirsty.

In her hazy state, An Ran still listened to this jerk's words...

Soon, Jiang Che looked at her smooth, jade-like back and felt dazzled. He immediately leaned down and kissed her swan-like neck, and then moved to her fair shoulders.

As Jiang Che continued downward, An Ran felt a tingling electric current flow through her entire body.

"Ji... Jiang Che..." An Ran called out unconsciously.

"I'm here."

Jiang Che responded softly, then took her hand.

"Good girl, like this." Jiang Che said softly, like a bad guy coaxing a child.

An Ran felt incredibly shy, but right now, with her brain short-circuiting, she couldn't even think about refusing...

"Mmm... Jiang Che."

Jiang Che gently held her from behind and whispered, "Don't be shy, I'm here."
