12: Chapter 12 My younger sister is as beautiful as a celebrity?

Monday, the first day of school for Jiang Ning.

The Stinky Girl got up early, finished washing up, went out to buy breakfast, returned home, and then headed off to school.

After waking up and seeing the breakfast on the table, Jiang Che shrugged. At least the Stinky Girl had a conscience. After being tortured by this girl for over a week, he could finally return to his free, single life.

Jiang Che's workplace was about three kilometers from home. It was a self-media company. It wasn't very big, the pay was decent, and most importantly, there were many pretty women there.

"Jiang Che."

Just as he arrived at the company, a crisp voice came from behind him.

"Luo Yao? You're early." Jiang Che looked at Luo Yao, who had just walked in behind him, and smiled.

Luo Yao lifted the breakfast in her hand. "I have extra, want some?"

Jiang Che waved his hand. "I already ate at home."

A flash of surprise crossed Luo Yao's eyes. "I remember you usually buy it on the way and eat breakfast at the office?"

Jiang Che smiled without explaining. However, Luo Yao quickly added with a hint of surprise, "Was that girl you met at the supermarket really your younger sister?"

"What else could it be? It's her first day of school today, so she got up early and bought breakfast on the way."

"Don't university students usually live on campus? Isn't it inconvenient for your sister to live with you?"

"Inconvenient?" Jiang Che looked at Luo Yao, feeling a bit strange.

Luo Yao's ears turned slightly red under Jiang Che's gaze, and she then shook her head gently. "It's nothing."

When the two entered the office, a few colleagues had already arrived.

Jiang Che walked to his seat by the window, picked up a spray bottle, watered the plants, and then casually handed the bottle to Luo Yao, whose seat was right next to his.

"Thanks~" Luo Yao smiled sweetly.

As soon as she finished speaking, a head suddenly popped up from the workstation opposite them.

"Brother Che~~ My cactus needs water too, I want the spray bottle too~~~"

"Get lost. If you keep using that high-pitched, sissy voice, do you believe I'll stuff that cactus into your mouth?"

As Jiang Che said this, he crumpled a piece of paper from his desk into a ball and threw it directly at the head that had popped up across from him.

The man was quick and caught it, then shook his head and sighed. "Sigh, Brother Che, your double standards are too obvious. There are four of us in the department, but you only speak gently to Luo Yao and An Ran. This really hurts my feelings."

The man, who looked 30% like Hu Ge, pretended to be sad and clutched his chest.

"Why don't you wear a wig, put on some makeup, and wear a miniskirt tomorrow? Maybe Jiang Che will smile at you too."

A stylishly dressed woman walked in from outside and glanced at Jiang Che and the man opposite him.

"An Ran, aren't you just pushing me into a fire pit? What if I turn Brother Che gay? That would be disastrous! Besides, I still like girls."

The woman named An Ran smiled faintly, then looked at Luo Yao. "Did you hear that? This guy likes girls, you better be careful."

Jiang Che's company had about thirty people in total, but it occupied an entire floor on the 16th floor of this office building.

The department Jiang Che was in was very small, with only four people.

An Ran, Jiang Che, Yang Fei, and Luo Yao.

An Ran was the most senior, but in terms of age, she was only two years older than Jiang Che. She had a decisive personality and strong ambition, but she was a very good person.

Yang Fei had joined the company only one day after Jiang Che. He was somewhat handsome, had an outgoing personality, and flirted with everyone—not just girls, but guys too.

Luo Yao was the newest recruit in the department, having been there for less than two months, but she was already the pet of the group and well looked after. Her personality was gentle, lively, and sensible.

"I just heard you say you're sharing an apartment with a girl?" An Ran placed her bag on her desk, then looked at Jiang Che and asked.

Jiang Che felt a wave of speechlessness. "Did you mishear? I just told Luo Yao that I'm living with my younger sister."

"A younger sister?" An Ran frowned. "I thought you'd solved your personal life issues and was getting ready to make you treat the department to a meal."

Jiang Che looked around. "With the number of people in our department, do we need to be so formal for a meal? Can't we just go out after work whenever?"

"Sigh, that's true. There are only four of us. If someone catches a cold, we can't even scrape together a table for mahjong." Yang Fei sighed.

"Is that what you want to play mahjong? I'm too embarrassed to call you out on it. Anyway, same as before—I don't care about other departments, but in our department, you are not allowed to mess with anyone." An Ran warned Yang Fei, who immediately straightened up. "Yes!"

Luo Yao watched the group chatting, her eyes filled with smiles.

"However..." An Ran looked at Jiang Che again. "Your sister came to Nansu, why didn't you say anything? When are you going to bring her out for us to meet? We, as her big sister and brother, should host her."

Jiang Che was still thinking of an excuse when he heard Luo Yao say, "Sister An Ran, I ran into Brother Che's sister this weekend. She is so pretty."

This sentence piqued An Ran's interest. "Really? How pretty?"

Luo Yao frowned slightly, thought for a few seconds, then pointed her finger at a poster on the wall nearby. "As pretty as her!"

An Ran and Yang Fei turned their heads. On the wall was a poster of the hottest female celebrity of the past two years: Su Su.

An Ran was a beauty herself, but hearing Luo Yao's words, she was suddenly surprised. "Really?"

Luo Yao nodded very seriously.

"Well played, Jiang Che, hiding a beautiful younger sister. No wonder I've never heard you mention it."

"Is she that pretty?" Jiang Che shifted his gaze away from the beauty on the poster. "Why don't I think so?"

An Ran looked at him helplessly. "You've seen her since you were little, so you must be face-blind, right? Since a beauty like Luo Yao says your sister is pretty, then she must be. By the way, do you have any photos? Let me see?"

Asked by An Ran, Jiang Che realized that... he really didn't have any photos of this girl. From childhood to now, in his memory, it seemed there was only one photo of them together, and that was taken when he was in middle school, at his parents' request, with the whole family.

Seeing Jiang Che hesitate, An Ran was a bit surprised. "No way? You don't even have a photo of your sister?"

"Is that not normal?" Jiang Che asked.

Luo Yao and An Ran looked at each other, then nodded.

"Is the relationship between you two siblings that bad?" An Ran asked tentatively.

Jiang Che did not answer, but instead pointed to his wrist.

An Ran was a bit confused. "What does that mean? As close as brothers and sisters?"

"I'm reminding you to look at your watch. What time is it? It's time for the morning meeting." Jiang Che said softly.

An Ran was stunned for a moment, then realized that they had been chatting too engrossed, almost forgetting the important business.

"Luo Yao, help me copy the materials I organized yesterday, and bring them to the conference room. I'll go ahead. Oh, by the way, Jiang Che, find an opportunity next time to bring your sister out, let's have a meal together!"

"Got it, I'll ask when I have time."
