85: Chapter 85 Drinking...Saliva?

"You didn't eat at the company at noon?"

In the afternoon, taking advantage of the fact that only she and Jiang Che were left in the office, An Ran walked over to the printer next to him under the pretext of printing something, and spoke.

"No, I met up with a friend."

Jiang Che didn't directly say it was Su Su. For one, An Ran might not believe him if he did, and for another, he was afraid she would believe him, which might cause some misunderstanding.

"A guy?" An Ran looked into Jiang Che's eyes.

"A girl," Jiang Che answered honestly.

Seeing that he wasn't lying to her, the tiny bit of suspicion in An Ran's heart instantly vanished. Everyone has friends; it wasn't as if he had to confess every single time he met someone.

Besides, if Jiang Che had a guilty conscience, he wouldn't have been so honest with her.

Thinking of this, An Ran was in a great mood. "Do you have to work overtime today?"

"Probably not."

"Eat together?"

"Sure." Jiang Che smiled. His gaze couldn't help but land on her legs. Looking around and seeing no one, he placed his hand directly on An Ran's leg the next second.

"What brand are your stockings?"

Jiang Che asked as his fingers gently caressed them.

Knowing full well that this guy asking about the brand was just an excuse to take advantage of her, An Ran hesitated for two seconds but still didn't expose him.

"CDR," An Ran said softly, a faint blush creeping onto her face.

"I think I've heard of it, a pretty high-end brand," Jiang Che replied, but his hand didn't stop moving.

"Haven't you had enough?" After more than ten seconds, seeing that this guy still hadn't stopped, An Ran chided softly.

"With such beautiful legs, I used to only take advantage of them verbally. Aren't I just trying to make up for lost time?"

An Ran gave Jiang Che a slightly annoyed glare. However, this incredibly coquettish glare had absolutely no deterrent effect; instead, it made Jiang Che's heart melt.

"Coming over to my place tonight?"

"And then you squeeze into the next room with your sister again?"

Hearing her say this, Jiang Che instantly felt a bit embarrassed. "Last night was an accident."

An Ran looked at Jiang Che, hesitated for two seconds, and said softly, "I've seen many siblings who have a close relationship and sleep together when they are kids. But to still be willing to sleep with their brother even after going to college is very rare."

Jiang Che thought so too, but he obviously couldn't say that in front of An Ran. He could only laugh sheepishly and say, "That Stinky Girl is just so careless. Besides, in last night's situation, I couldn't exactly tell her to let you squeeze in with me, could I? What if we made too much noise in the middle of the night and woke her up?"

A flash of shyness crossed An Ran's eyes. "What do you mean too much noise? Stop talking nonsense."

Jiang Che smiled and was just about to continue convincing An Ran to go back with him when the sound of hurried, jogging footsteps came from the hallway outside.

"Sister An Ran, Sister Chen from purchasing said..."

Luo Yao was only halfway through her sentence when she entered the room and saw An Ran, with a slightly flushed face, stepping back from Jiang Che's side.

"You guys..." Luo Yao forgot what she was about to say, then looked at Jiang Che. "Brother Che, did you tease Sister An Ran again?"

Jiang Che was speechless. Fortunately, he had pulled his hand back quickly. If this girl had run any faster, she would have seen him touching An Ran's leg.

"Am I that kind of person?"

Luo Yao looked at him, then at An Ran, who looked a bit unnatural, and nodded. "Otherwise, why is Sister An Ran's face so red?"

"Come here, come closer to me." Jiang Che waved at Luo Yao.

Luo Yao hesitated for two seconds before slowly walking over.

"Come, let me make you blush too." Once she got close, Jiang Che suddenly raised his hand.

This action startled Luo Yao, and she quickly took two steps back.

"Brother Che, you're scaring me again!"

Seeing Jiang Che and Luo Yao fooling around, An Ran also glared at him secretly.

Seeing this, Jiang Che smiled and said to Luo Yao, "I'm doing this to teach you that there are many bad people in society, so girls must learn to protect themselves."

Luo Yao looked at him and huffed softly, "You're the worst one in the office!"

...

After work, An Ran and Jiang Che left the company one after the other.

They had dinner outside. Afterward, Jiang Che invited An Ran to his home once again, but An Ran's cheeks burned as she claimed she had things to do and needed to go home.

An Ran knew Jiang Che's intentions full well. Although she wasn't against it, she felt that since they had just... in the morning, continuing again in the evening might make her lose control and become completely addicted to it.

In the end, Jiang Che returned home alone. However, just as he reached his doorstep, he ran into an unexpected person.

"Weiwei?"

"Senior~" Tang Xinwei, who was standing prettily at Jiang Che's doorstep, smiled sweetly when she saw him.

Jiang Che felt a lingering fear. Thank goodness An Ran hadn't come back with him; otherwise, finding a girl standing at his door the moment they returned would have given him quite a headache.

Besides... ever since they ran into each other while buying clothes last time, An Ran seemed to be... a bit wary of Tang Xinwei.

"Are you here for Jiang Ning? She probably didn't come back today; she's at the dorm."

Tang Xinwei shook her head. "No, I'm waiting for you."

Now, it was Jiang Che's turn to be surprised.

"Waiting for me?"

"Mm-hmm!" Tang Xinwei nodded, then pulled out a bag from beside her. "My treat."

Jiang Che hesitated for a moment before taking it, only to see that there was a dessert inside.

"You waited for me specifically just to give me this?"

"Yup. You treated me to milk tea, so I'm treating you to food. It's only fair."

Jiang Che didn't know whether to laugh or cry. But after a moment, he suddenly remembered something, so he looked up at Tang Xinwei.

Who would have thought that this girl seemed to have guessed what Jiang Che was thinking? A sly, playful expression appeared on her face as she said, "I didn't tell Ningning, and I didn't tell anyone else either."

Jiang Che was startled, then chuckled helplessly. "How are you so smart?"

Tang Xinwei's lips curled up. She then glanced at the door. "Senior, aren't you going to open the door and go inside?"

Jiang Che was taken aback, then looked at Tang Xinwei. "Do you... want to come in and sit for a bit?"

"Sure~"

Jiang Che slapped his forehead. Was this girl playing dumb on purpose?

Left with no choice, Jiang Che took out his keys, unlocked the door, and let Tang Xinwei inside.

"Weiwei..."

Just as Jiang Che spoke, he was interrupted.

"I know, girls need to stay safe and shouldn't just enter a member of the opposite sex's room, especially when there's no one else around."

Seeing the teasing expression on her face, Jiang Che didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"You knew, yet you still came in?"

"Then, is Senior a bad guy?"

Tang Xinwei smiled as she looked at him while speaking.

"..." After a few seconds of silence, Jiang Che looked at her helplessly. "Have a sip of water and then go back?"

It was a very normal sentence, but Tang Xinwei's expression became slightly strange. Then, with a hint of a smile in her eyes, she looked at Jiang Che:

"Drink... saliva?"
