109: Happy and harmonious

Hearing Wan Guoliang's question, Lin Zifeng nodded without denying it.

He smiled and said, "It's the end of the year, Secretary. We've discussed it and decided to use this meeting as an opportunity to clearly divide our tasks, represent Heping Town, report our work to the various leaders, and take the chance to pay some visits."

After dropping Wei Ting off at home, Li Qiang drove towards Miaoshan Town.

Tomorrow was the weekend again, and he prepared to go back to his hometown to spend the weekend.

Just as the car drove out of the county seat, he received a call from Chen Yuxi.

"Zifeng, I miss you. How long has it been since we last met? There's less than half a month until the New Year; will we have a chance to meet before then?"

So, he said evasively, "I'm on my way back to Miaoshan Town. I'll call you back once I arrive at my grandparents' house!"

Chen Yuxi understood the implication in his words and knew there were others around him, so she obediently agreed and hung up the phone.

He arrived home, and after seeing Li Qiang drive away, he didn't enter the courtyard first. Instead, he walked to a small river more than a hundred meters away, took out his phone, and called Chen Yuxi back.

The two talked for over half an hour. Lin Zifeng's hand was becoming numb from the cold. Hearing Zhang Chunhua calling him from afar, he bid farewell to Chen Yuxi and hung up the phone.

He put away his phone and turned to walk towards Zhang Chunhua, who was standing at the doorway.
