113: It is the father's fault if the son is not taught.

Hearing the conversation between Lin Zifeng and Zhu Yushan, Zhang Zhenyue's drunkenness was completely scared away.

He thought to himself, he was truly damn unlucky; the first time he tried to pull a stunt like this while drunk, he ended up hitting a steel plate.

He had now completely confirmed Lin Zifeng's identity.

Because his dad, Zhang Linhua, often mentioned Lin Zifeng in front of him.

Saying how outstanding the other party was, using Lin Zifeng as a positive role model to motivate him.

Although the man was the same age as him, he was already a town's Party Secretary, and rumor had it he would soon be promoted to the Deputy Department Level, the same rank as his own father.

Yet he had been so arrogant in front of him, even showing off his father's status. In the man's eyes, he must have been nothing but a joke!

Thinking of this, Zhang Zhenyue felt fear and deep embarrassment simultaneously.

Hearing Lin Zifeng's words, Zhu Yushan knew he was truly angered. This was not surprising; he had witnessed the incident just now. Who wouldn't be angry?

Moreover, the lady next to him was a representative of an investor. If she decided to escalate the matter, that brat Zhang Zhenyue would be in serious trouble.

Even Zhang Hualin would be held responsible for failing to properly educate his son and acting as his son's protective umbrella.

Thinking of this, Zhu Yushan quickly said, "Secretary Lin, please be magnanimous and don't dwell on this scoundrel."

"Ms. Chen Yuxi, I am extremely sorry for the unpleasant experience this has caused you."

"Please rest assured, since I encountered this matter, I will certainly provide a satisfactory explanation to both of you."

Having said this, he turned and looked at Zhang Zhenyue, saying, "You wretched idiot, hurry up and get over here to apologize!"

Zhang Zhenyue quickly stepped forward, bowed with a look of shame, and said, "I am sorry, Secretary Lin, Ms. Chen. I lost control because I was drunk. Please be lenient with me. I absolutely won't dare to do this again."

Zhu Yushan spoke again: "Now, take these scoundrels and go to the nearby Police Station to turn yourselves in. Go to the sobering room and sober up properly."

"Write a profound self-criticism. I will observe your repentance. If your performance is unsatisfactory, you will still be detained."

"If you dare not comply, I will have people arrest you."

Zhang Zhenyue agreed and sullenly left with the group of people.

Seeing that Zhu Yushan had handled the situation quite well and maintained a smiling demeanor, Lin Zifeng voluntarily extended his hand, shook hands with him again, and smiled, saying, "Thank you, Director Zhu, for intervening. We will leave now. I'll treat you to a drink sometime to show my gratitude."

"It's what I should do. If anything had truly gone wrong for you and Ms. Chen, I, as the Public Security Bureau Chief, would not be able to escape blame."

"If there's an opportunity in the future, I will treat Secretary Lin to a drink."

Zhu Yushan knew Lin Zifeng's potential. He might become his superior someday, so his attitude towards Lin Zifeng was excellent, and he dared not act superior at all.

Only after watching Lin Zifeng and Chen Yuxi leave did Zhu Yushan finally breathe a sigh of relief.

He thought to himself that the incident was finally settled, turning a major issue into a minor one. He needed to call Zhang Linhua and tell him to properly discipline his son in the future.

Otherwise, the boy might cause him serious trouble someday.

Thinking of this, he took out his phone and called Zhang Linhua.

Lin Zifeng and Chen Yuxi walked out of the restaurant. At Yuxi's suggestion, they did not take a taxi straight home but walked away instead.

They wanted to clear their minds and forget the unpleasantness they had just experienced.

Following Lin Zifeng's suggestion, the two went to the Vegetable Market, bought some meat and vegetables, and then strolled toward home.

"Zifeng, does what happened at the restaurant happen often in Yushu County? I've never encountered a situation like this before; it's completely beyond my understanding."

Chen Yuxi asked, still feeling lingering fear.

"This is just an isolated case. The public security environment in Yushu County is actually quite good. That Zhang Zhenyue was clearly drunk, and it's highly likely this was the first time he's done something like this."

"How did you determine that? That this was the first time he's done something like this?

Chen Yuxi asked, feeling very puzzled.

"Because Yushu County isn't large. If something like what happened at the restaurant had truly occurred before, and the perpetrator got away with it, it would have long become common gossip."

"Moreover, Zhang Linhua's reputation would be ruined, and it's impossible for me not to have heard any rumors."

"Also, if they were experienced in doing this sort of thing, they wouldn't have wasted so much time arguing with me."

"They had strength in numbers. Given the situation then, those followers would have quickly restrained me and forcibly taken you away."

He analyzed and explained.

"Hearing you say that, it sounds like an accidental incident. But why did that hateful guy act that way when he saw me?"

Chen Yuxi asked suspiciously.

"That question is even simpler. Who told my Yuxi to be so charming? Even I can't resist your charisma. That guy, with his brain hijacked by lust, was temporarily driven mad by your allure."

His face was full of smugness.

"Get lost, you're just spouting nonsense."

Although she said this, she felt secretly delighted. What woman doesn't want her lover to praise her looks?

Just then, Lin Zifeng's phone rang. He didn't need to guess who was calling.

He took out his phone and saw that, just as he suspected, it was a call from Zhang Zhenyue's father, Zhang Linhua.

This was all within his expectations. Given the relationship between Zhu Yushan and Zhang Linhua, it was impossible for Zhu Yushan not to call Zhang Linhua to explain the situation after he left.

"Hello, County Magistrate Zhang."

"Hello, Secretary Zifeng. I heard about the outrageous thing my worthless son did. Thank you for your magnanimity in not holding it against that scoundrel."

"The father's fault is not teaching his son; I failed to properly educate him! Secretary Zifeng, could you please give me a chance to apologize!"

"I must apologize to you in person, otherwise, my conscience won't allow it!"

"County Magistrate Zhang, you exaggerate. There's no need for such trouble; let's just let this matter go! Just ensure you discipline your son more in the future."

"He ran into me, and since we are colleagues, I can choose not to hold it against him."

"But what would the outcome be if he encountered someone else? Please consider that carefully, County Magistrate Zhang!"

He said, his tone mixing softness with firmness.

"Secretary Zifeng is right. What happened this time has sounded an alarm for me. Once he returns from the Police Station, I will certainly teach him a severe lesson and make sure he remembers this experience well."

"But Secretary Zifeng, you really must give me a chance to apologize! When the time comes, I won't invite anyone else, just Director Zhu to accompany us."

"Please tell me when you are free. If you refuse again, I will be unable to rest or eat peacefully."

Zhang Linhua's voice carried a hint of pleading.

The reason he was acting this way was that he genuinely feared Lin Zifeng might complain about him to Wan Guoliang if he became displeased.

With Wan Guoliang, Lin Zifeng had much more influence than he did, a Deputy County Mayor who was not a Standing Committee Member.

After all, the fault for what happened at noon lay entirely with his son.
