326: You should have a baby as early as possible!

One week after Li Yuhang was transferred to Yushu City to take up his post, the annual personnel adjustment work officially began.

It started with the districts and counties; there were some personnel changes in the townships of Yushu City, while the City Level's Standing Committee Members remained unchanged, except for Vice Mayor Zhao Yanbin, who was transferred to Lin County to serve as the deputy secretary of the county party committee.

Meanwhile, Zhu Yushan of the Public Security Bureau was promoted to Vice Mayor while continuing to serve as the head of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, successfully advancing to the deputy section-level and enjoying Division-Head Level benefits.

After the personnel adjustment in Yushu City concluded, the adjustments at the Chunhua City level were also in the works.

On a weekend half a month after Li Yuhang's transfer to Yushu City, Lin Zifeng invited Li Yuhang and his wife to his home in a private capacity. Li Yuhang and Lin Zifeng had been married for about the same amount of time, but the former couple did not have children yet.

Li Yuhang's wife, Yu Meixin, had arrived in Yushu City from the Provincial Capital a few days after Li Yuhang's transfer to Yushu County.

Knowing that Lin Zifeng was going to treat Li Yuhang and his wife to a meal, Chen Yuxi had Li Li go to the market early in the morning to buy fresh ingredients.

Together, Chen Yuxi and Li Li prepared a feast, and Lin Zifeng personally brewed a pot of fine tea, waiting for the arrival of Li Yuhang and his wife.

A little after eleven o'clock, the doorbell rang. Lin Zifeng got up and opened the door to find Li Yuhang and a beautiful woman in her mid-twenties carrying fruit at the entrance.

"Yuhang is here? This must be your wife? Come in quickly."

As Lin Zifeng spoke, he ushered them inside.

The two nodded with smiles and entered the room. Li Yuhang then introduced with a smile, "Wife, this is the person I often mention to you, my classmate from the Party School and now my direct superior, Secretary Lin, Lin Zifeng."

"Zifeng, this is my wife, Yu Meixin."

Hearing Li Yuhang's introduction, Yu Meixin generously reached out her hand and said, "Hello, Secretary Lin. Our Yuhang often mentions you at home."

"Now that Yuhang is working under you, I hope you will look after him more in the future."

Lin Zifeng gave Yu Meixin a brief handshake and said with a smile, "Sister-in-law, you're too polite. Yuhang and I just have different job responsibilities; we need to cooperate and support each other in our work."

Just then, Chen Yuxi came out of the kitchen, her voice arriving before she did.

"Zifeng, have the guests arrived?"

Li Yuhang and his wife looked toward the sound. Chen Yuxi approached the three of them, and Lin Zifeng said with a smile, "Wife, this is Yuhang and his wife, Yu Meixin."

"Hello, Sister-in-law. I didn't expect you to be so beautiful. Zifeng, you are truly lucky in love!"

As Li Yuhang spoke, he reached out his hand. After Chen Yuxi generously shook hands with him, she said with a smile, "Your wife is also very beautiful!"

"Hello, Sister-in-law. Compared to you, I am like stars compared to the bright moon; there's simply no comparison. This is the first time I've seen such a devastatingly beautiful woman like you."

Yu Meixin said as she shook hands with Chen Yuxi.

"You're too modest; you're making me a bit embarrassed. Come, let's go sit over there; lunch will be ready soon."

As Chen Yuxi spoke, she pulled Yu Meixin to the Living Room and sat on the sofa.

Lin Zifeng and Li Yuhang followed and sat on the other side.

The group chatted while drinking tea. Chen Yuxi and Yu Meixin talked about clothes and cosmetics, and they soon became quite engaged in conversation.

Lin Zifeng and Li Yuhang could hardly get a word in and could only sit to the side, drinking tea and listening.

Ten minutes later, Li Li brought the last soup to the dining table and said, "Secretary, Director Chen, the meal is ready."

The two responded and invited Li Yuhang and his wife to sit around the dining table together.

Lin Zifeng took out a bottle of White Liquor, poured a glass for Li Yuhang, and then poured one for himself.

Meanwhile, Chen Yuxi opened a bottle of red wine to drink with Yu Meixin.

As they ate and drank, Li Yuhang put down his glass and said, "Zifeng, I suddenly remembered. Don't you and Sister-in-law have a precious little daughter? She's over a year old now, why don't I see her?"

"My mother-in-law came over last night. When she was leaving, the child insisted on going back with her grandmother."

So my mother-in-law took her back. She called me this morning; the Little fellow is having a very happy time there and won't be sent back until tomorrow."

Before Lin Zifeng could answer, Chen Yuxi jumped in to explain.

"With your mother-in-law helping with the child, you can be a bit more relaxed, Sister-in-law."

Yu Meixin added.

"Meixin, you and Yuhang should also have a child. Although taking care of a child is a bit tiring, it adds a lot of joy to life. So, it's better to have a baby early!"

Thinking of Lin Yining, a radiant maternal smile appeared on Chen Yuxi's face as she spoke subconsciously.

"Meixin and I have also put having a baby on the agenda. We plan to turn our world of two into a family of three within three years."

Li Yuhang said openly.

"Come, let's have a drink together. I wish for your dream to come true soon."

Lin Zifeng said, raising his glass. The two thanked him and raised their glasses, clinking them before drinking it all in one go.

Lunch lasted for over an hour. Lin Zifeng and Li Yuhang each drank a bottle of White Liquor. For their tolerance, it was just right—slightly tipsy but not drunk.

After lunch, the four sat in the Living Room and chatted for another hour or so before Li Yuhang and his wife got up to take their leave.

Yu Meixin pulled Chen Yuxi's hand and said, "Sister-in-law, let's meet up another day. When we find the time, let's go shopping together."

"I haven't been in Yushu City for long and don't have other friends here yet. I haven't had a good chance to understand this rising City Level!"

"Sure! It's a deal. Anyway, we've exchanged contact information. When we have time, we can message each other to meet up anytime."

Chen Yuxi agreed without hesitation. She and Yu Meixin were the same age and had more common topics to discuss.

The Lin couple saw them out. Once the two went downstairs, they turned back inside.

"Wife, you get along well with Yuhang's wife! You two have more to talk about than Yuhang and I do."

Lin Zifeng said with a chuckle.

"That's because we're of similar age. I wanted to get along like this with the wives of your colleagues before, but I never had the chance!"

Chen Yuxi said as if it were obvious.

"Even if you had the chance, would you be able to get along with them?"

"They are at least ten years older than you, so there's a generation gap. That's why I didn't give you the chance to meet those colleagues' families."

Lin Zifeng said with a smile.

"My husband is so understanding! Thank you for being so thoughtful. Since we've both been drinking, let's go to the bedroom and take a nap together."

As Chen Yuxi spoke, she stepped forward and hugged his arm. Lin Zifeng nodded and obediently walked toward the bedroom with her.
