369: A world for two

Li Yanran took Lin Zifeng on a tour of the courtyard house. On the roof at the back, she had not only installed a skylight but also laid down flooring and a railing.

There were tables and chairs up there, along with two large sun umbrellas. Under the umbrellas were two lounge chairs and a tea table.

More than half of the roof was covered by the canopy of a large tree growing from one side.

Lin Zifeng sat on a lounge chair, looked up at the sky, and said with emotion, "This place is great, Yanran. To have such a piece of free sky in such a bustling area is very rare. It's like a Utopia."

"I know the land here is worth its weight in gold, but I feel it's even more comfortable to live in than those luxury villas."

Hearing Lin Zifeng's words, Li Yanran said happily, "As long as you like it. How about I transfer the title to you?"

Lin Zifeng shook his head and said, "Is there any difference between yours and mine? Why go through all that trouble?"

Hearing Lin Zifeng's words, Li Yanran nodded with a smile and spoke again, "Aren't you hungry? I'll go down and cook for you now."

"After we parted last week, I signed up for a cooking class. I've learned a few dishes these past few days, and I'll make them for you to taste my handiwork."

"I've prepared all the ingredients at home; I just wanted to spend a weekend for two with you."

Seeing that this young lady, who had never done a day's work in her life, had actually started learning to cook for him, he felt a surge of emotion.

However, he couldn't let Li Yanran, who had just started cooking, make dinner by herself. He was afraid she might accidentally burn the kitchen down.

So he quickly stood up and said, "I'll go with you. No matter how beautiful the scenery is, I don't want to stay here if you're not around."

Hearing Lin Zifeng's words, Li Yanran's heart felt as sweet as honey. She took Lin Zifeng's hand and led him downstairs.

The two of them went to the kitchen together, took out the ingredients, and began to work together on dinner.

Lin Zifeng made three dishes and a soup. With his company, Li Yanran made Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes.

With four dishes and a soup on the table, the two sat opposite each other and ate dinner together.

After a warm dinner and cleaning up together, Lin Zifeng was pulled by Li Yanran to the home theater room.

Li Yanran picked out a romance movie. Once it started playing, she snuggled into Lin Zifeng's arms and watched the movie with him.

At the passionate parts, Li Yanran would take the initiative to kiss Lin Zifeng.

Consequently, while Li Yanran enjoyed the movie immensely, Lin Zifeng found the entire film to be an ordeal.

When the movie ended, Lin Zifeng couldn't wait to pick Li Yanran up in a princess carry and strode out toward the bedroom.

Li Yanran wrapped her jade-like arms around his neck, looking at Lin Zifeng's handsome face with a smile full of anticipation.

Lin Zifeng was young and full of vigor, and Li Yanran had developed a taste for it; it was like dry wood meeting a fierce fire, igniting at the slightest touch.

In a private space with only the two of them, they let go of their inhibitions and poured in all their passion and energy. It wasn't until midnight that they fell asleep in each other's arms with smiles on their faces.

The next morning at sunrise, Lin Zifeng woke up. He gently moved Li Yanran's arms and long, beautiful legs off him and carefully got out of bed, not waking the soundly sleeping Li Yanran.

Lin Zifeng got dressed and walked out of the bedroom into the small front courtyard. He practiced a set of Eight Extremities Fist until he was lightly sweating, then turned and went back into the house.

After taking a shower, he went into the kitchen to make breakfast.

By the time Lin Zifeng finished making breakfast, Li Yanran walked out of the bedroom in her pajamas. With her messy hair, she let out a yawn and looked at Lin Zifeng, saying, "Honey, why did you wake up so early? Breakfast is already made."

"When I woke up and didn't see you right away, my heart felt so empty."

"I'm used to my biological clock. Unless I'm extremely tired or stayed up very late, I wake up at a fixed time every day."

"Go wash up! Let's have breakfast together."

Lin Zifeng said with a smile as he placed a plate of Poached Eggs on the dining table.

Li Yanran obediently agreed and headed to the bathroom.

Lin Zifeng sat at the table waiting for Li Yanran. A few minutes later, she came out of the bathroom and sat across from him.

Seeing the golden Millet Porridge, several glistening Meat Pies, and two Poached Eggs on the table, Li Yanran smiled and said, "Honey, the breakfast you made is too lavish. It must have taken a lot of time!"

"It's nothing. While the porridge was simmering, I made a few Meat Pies and finally fried two Poached Eggs in the oil pan. It was all done in about half an hour."

As Lin Zifeng spoke, he placed a meat pie onto the plate in front of Li Yanran.

The two chatted while enjoying a warm breakfast together.

After breakfast, Li Yanran stopped him from clearing the table and said with a smile, "I'll clean up! You cooked, so I'll wash the dishes."

Lin Zifeng nodded with a smile, stood up, and went to the tea table to boil water and make tea.

After Li Yanran finished the dishes, she sat beside him. They leisurely drank tea, chatting from time to time.

"Zifeng, when do you plan to meet my family and my aunt and uncle?"

"My parents and my aunt and uncle have wanted to meet you for a long time to thank you properly."

"They were afraid of causing you trouble, which is why they haven't had us invite you yet."

Li Yanran said very casually.

"If it were before, having a meal with your family would be nothing."

"It's different now. I've stolen their precious daughter. If Your Father finds out, won't he break my legs?"

Lin Zifeng said half-jokingly and half-seriously.

"I'm here! What are you afraid of? Besides, as long as we coordinate well, how could they find out about our relationship?"

"Didn't I tell you a long time ago? I'm willing to be the woman behind you forever. I won't make things difficult for you or affect your family and marriage."

As Li Yanran spoke, she snuggled into his arms, leaning comfortably against his chest.

"Can you really stay unmarried forever? Will your parents really let you stay single?"

"Although I love you just as much, I already have a wife and child. I can't give you a legal status or get a divorce to marry you."

"If we keep going like this, how will you explain it to your parents in the future?"

Lin Zifeng said with some worry.
