Lin Zifeng and Wang Ziyan got out of the car together and arrived at the high-speed rail taxi pick-up point, where they hailed a taxi and left the station.

Wang Ziyan had already booked a hotel in advance, so at her suggestion, the two of them first went to the hotel she had reserved.

After getting out of the taxi, as they walked into the hotel, Wang Ziyan said, "Zifeng, let's ask at the front desk in a moment if there are any rooms left."

"If there are rooms, you should book one in this hotel too!"

"It's only for one night, so there's no need to go back and forth to the representative Office. It will also be convenient to go to the Party School from here tomorrow."

"I checked online while in the car just now; this hotel is less than ten kilometers from the Party School, and it only takes half an hour by taxi."

After a brief moment of thought, Lin Zifeng nodded, agreeing with Wang Ziyan's suggestion.

The two of them went to the front desk together, and the receptionist greeted them politely, "Hello, how may I help you?"

"Hello, I have a room reserved here. This is my ID card."

Wang Ziyan said politely as she took out her ID card and handed it over.

The receptionist took the ID, asked her to wait a moment, and began checking the computer.

In less than a minute, the receptionist handed a room card and the ID back to Wang Ziyan.

"Sir, Madam, here is the room card for 303. Please keep it safe. If you need anything, you can call the front desk."

Only then did Lin Zifeng ask, "Hello, do you still have any rooms available?"

The receptionist was slightly stunned and said instinctively, "There are rooms, but since you've already opened one, is there a need for another?"

Both knew the receptionist had mistaken them for a couple, so Lin Zifeng handed over his ID card and said, "We're just friends, not what you think. Please open another room for me."

Hearing Lin Zifeng's words, the receptionist took his ID and muttered softly while processing the check-in, "These two are such a perfect match, a talented man and a beautiful woman. It's such a pity they aren't a couple."

Although the receptionist muttered very quietly, the lobby was so silent that one could hear a pin drop, so the two of them heard most of it.

Lin Zifeng's expression didn't change, but Wang Ziyan's pretty face turned slightly red, and she stole a glance at Lin Zifeng.

The receptionist quickly finished the check-in for Lin Zifeng and handed him his ID and room card.

After thanking the receptionist, Lin Zifeng walked toward the elevator with Wang Ziyan.

The two of them took the elevator to the third floor. Wang Ziyan's room was 303, and Lin Zifeng's was 306; they were only two rooms apart.

Standing in front of her door, Wang Ziyan said, "Let's settle in and then go eat. We'll head out after lunch."

Lin Zifeng agreed and walked toward his room.

A few minutes later, the two stepped out of their rooms one after another, went downstairs together, greeted the receptionist from before, and walked out of the hotel.

They found a unique restaurant and finished lunch in less than an hour.

Just as the two of them paid the bill and walked out of the restaurant, Lin Zifeng's phone rang.

Lin Zifeng stopped and took his phone out of his pocket, while Wang Ziyan stopped beside him.

Seeing it was a call from Wang Shufeng, the director of the Chunhua City Representative Office in Beijing, Lin Zifeng pressed the answer button.

Wang Shufeng's respectful voice immediately came through the receiver, "Hello, Secretary Lin, this is Wang Shufeng. The Municipal Party Committee Office notified our representative Office that you would arrive in Beijing today."

"I asked the Office if I needed to pick you up, but the Office's answer was no."

"They said you would come to the representative Office on your own before noon. Seeing that you haven't arrived yet, I decided to call you."

"Director Wang, that's very thoughtful of you. I forgot to notify you, but I'm reporting to the Party School tomorrow. Today I have some personal matters to handle, so I won't be going to the representative Office."

"Alright, Secretary Lin. During your studies at the Party School, if you need anything, you can call me directly, and I will take care of it for you immediately."

Wang Shufeng said hurriedly.

Lin Zifeng gave an affirmative grunt and hung up the phone.

Then he looked at Wang Ziyan and said, "Where are we going to visit next?"

"Since you came specifically for tourism, have you already made a plan?"

Wang Ziyan had indeed made a travel plan in advance, but in her original plan, she was going to the Wangfujing Snack Street this afternoon to taste local snacks.

However, her original plan didn't include Lin Zifeng. Now that she had his company and he only had this afternoon, she quickly changed her plan in her mind.

She said with a smile, "Let's go to the Summer Palace! The scenery there is most beautiful this season."

"We can first tour the exquisite ancient architecture and scenery on the front hill, then go rowing on Kunming Lake at the back hill to enjoy the lake and mountain views."

Lin Zifeng agreed to her suggestion. The two went to the roadside, hailed a taxi, and sat in the back seat together.

"Master, to the Summer Palace."

Lin Zifeng casually stated the destination.

The taxi driver said, "Sure thing," and started the vehicle. As he drove, he said, "Going to the Summer Palace now is definitely the best choice."

"You're tourists from out of town who just arrived in Beijing, right?"

"Indeed. Brother Driver, how did you tell?"

Wang Ziyan asked with a smile.

"Isn't that simple? I picked you up at the hotel entrance. Looking at your clothes and style, you should have your own cars."

"If you were outsiders working and living in Beijing long-term, the probability of you taking a taxi wouldn't be high."

"So I judged that you are tourists who just arrived in Beijing, settled into your hotel, and chose to visit the Summer Palace."

The taxi driver said with a look of certainty.

"Brother Driver, you're almost like Sherlock Holmes. This level of insight is not something ordinary people can compare to!"

Lin Zifeng nodded and said.

"I've been driving a taxi for over ten years and meet many people every day, so I'm a bit better at reading people. It's nothing much."

"You young couple are the most well-matched pair among the countless passengers I've driven. It's quite a pleasing sight!"

"Let me give you a tip so you don't get scammed. There are automatic tour guides in the scenic area, but they're expensive and not very useful. Don't waste your money on those."

Being mistaken for a couple once again, the two had grown used to it, so neither of them spoke up to explain.

After Wang Ziyan thanked him, she asked about other scenic spots in Beijing, and the driver told her everything he knew.
