223: Redemption

Just as Ye Su and the three members of Yu Haoyang's group were discussing their collaboration.

At the Ander Building columbarium, Ye Kaijun was accepting a receipt from a staff member and nodding in response to the solemn-faced employee.

Ever since spending the afternoon at the home memorial hall on Saturday, Ye Kaijun had decided to move the ashes of the four family members to the columbarium first.

From yesterday morning until now, Ye Kaijun had finally found a spot he was satisfied with here at the Ander Building.

Two double niches, one single niche, plus paying twenty years of management fees upfront, cost Ye Kaijun 238,000.

The single niche and one of the double niches were naturally for his son's family of three.

The remaining double niche, besides being for Wu Xiaolan, was also a spot Ye Kaijun had reserved for himself in advance.

Fortunately, thanks to demolition compensation, his pension, and the settlement money from his son's family over the years, Ye Kaijun still had over two million in savings in his bank account, allowing him to afford these five spots.

Otherwise, even if he could find peace of mind, he would be just like what the netizens said—he wouldn't even be able to afford to die.

"It really is time to let go."

Ye Kaijun also noticed that ever since he suddenly realized things on Saturday afternoon with Ye Su's help.

For the past two nights, he had slept exceptionally soundly, sleeping through until dawn every day.

Not knowing whether Ye Su had bought him a permanent [Sleep Aid Service], Ye Kaijun naturally attributed all the reasons to his own inner knots being untied.

As he walked down the stairs of the Ander Building, Ye Kaijun looked up at the sky and felt that the sky today was exceptionally bright.

...

Ye Su did not know that a single bit of counseling he provided with the help of "break the hell" had caused such a huge change in Ye Kaijun's mindset.

After eating lunch at school, Ye Su returned to his residential complex in the afternoon.

First, he found the website online, opened the [Guangdong Province Enterprise Name Independent Declaration Service System], registered [Disc Game Studio], and entered the studio's name verification stage.

Only then did Ye Su take out the Lego golden ticket he had received yesterday and enter the prize redemption website printed on it into his browser.

After selecting his country and region, he followed the instructions on the website to upload the front and back of the golden ticket, and then entered a string of codes from the golden ticket before the interface redirected to the contact information entry page.

Name, mobile number, contact address...

After filling in all the information as required by the website, Ye Su clicked submit.

"That's it?"

The website did not redirect to any other operation interface, so Ye Su assumed the prize redemption was complete.

"It doesn't even say how to collect the prizes. Five major series, over a hundred boxes of toys in total—surely they wouldn't just mail them over via courier, right?"

There wasn't even a customer service button on the redemption website, so apart from complaining, Ye Su had no other options.

But not long after closing the website, Ye Su's phone rang, displaying an unknown number.

"Hello?"

A sweet female voice came from the other end of the line: "Hello, may I ask if this is Mr. Ye Su?"

"Yes, it is."

"I am calling from Lego official staff. First of all, I would like to congratulate you on winning our golden ticket and receiving the entire [star wars] series of building blocks currently on sale."

"Thank you."

"It's like this: there are currently two ways to redeem the prize. One is for you to mail the golden ticket to us, and after we verify its authenticity, we will mail the entire series of building blocks to the contact address you just left.

Or you can see which Lego flagship store is closer to you, and I can register it for you. Then you can take the golden ticket directly there to verify its authenticity and confirm with the store how you would like to collect the prize."

Ye Su thought about it for a moment. Considering the possibility of issues with the courier, he decided to redeem the prize at a store:

"The Jiajia Plaza flagship store in Yangcheng is not very far from here. I'll take the golden ticket there."

"Very well, Mr. Ye. I will notify the Jiajia Plaza flagship store first. Whenever you have time, just take the golden ticket over there."

"Alright."

"Is there anything else you need to know?"

"No."

"Well then, I won't disturb you any further, Mr. Ye. Have a pleasant day."

"Thank you."

After a polite thank you, Ye Su hung up the phone.

"Since I have to go out anyway, I might as well stop by Jiajia Plaza."

After the studio's name verification was approved, he would need to submit copies of his ID card, his student ID (which could be used to apply for entrepreneurship subsidies later), and other documents.

As for the studio's registered address, the school had an entrepreneurship incubation base, which offered free office space and could issue a "Certificate of Venue Usage," saving Ye Su a lot of trouble.

The business plan required for the application was already being expedited by the three of them, Yu Haoyang and his group, and they aimed to submit it to the college today or tomorrow, which was in time.

After filling out the [Business Scope Description], saving the form to his phone, and grabbing the documents and the golden ticket that needed to be printed, Ye Su headed out again.

After finding a print shop and printing out all the materials, Ye Su revisited the place and arrived at the Lego flagship store in Jiajia Plaza again.

As soon as he entered, the clerk who had served Ye Su yesterday noticed him, put on an enthusiastic smile, and walked up to greet him quickly:

"Hello, sir. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Hello, I'd like to speak with your store manager."

"Our store manager?" The clerk looked puzzled: "May I ask what you need the manager for?"

"I want to claim a prize."

"Claim a prize? Our store isn't holding any..."

Before she could finish her sentence, the clerk suddenly realized and looked at Ye Su in disbelief.

Ten minutes ago, the store manager had instructed them that a customer had opened a Lego golden ticket and they didn't know when they would come to the store to claim the prize, so she asked them to keep an eye out.

Could it be this handsome young man in front of her?

"It's this one."

Before the clerk could continue asking, Ye Su had already taken out the golden ticket.

"It really is a golden ticket!"

On a Monday afternoon, there were a moderate number of customers in the store. At the clerk's exclamation, almost everyone turned their gaze toward Ye Su.

"What is a golden ticket? Why is the clerk so surprised?"

"I don't know..."

Lego headquarters did not promote this activity much, only posting an announcement on their official website.

Many people in the store were not loyal Lego players and would not normally pay attention to Lego's news and trends.

Therefore, not many people knew that Lego even had a [golden ticket] event.

Even the store clerks only knew that Lego headquarters had held such a surprise event after the store manager received a call from headquarters, informed them that someone would come to claim the prize, and explained what the [golden ticket] was.

"No way, a golden ticket!"

At this moment, a man's voice rang out, immediately attracting the attention of several people nearby.

Seeing the man's shocked expression, just like the clerk's, staring unblinkingly at Ye Su and the golden ticket in his hand, the curiosity of the onlookers was piqued to the extreme.
