593: Whatever you wish for comes true

Over at Ark Game Studio, the development of "Escape from Goosekov" was already basically complete.

After receiving Ye Su's investment of 1.5 million, Huang Yanghua stated that he could handle the promotion and distribution for "Escape from Goosekov" in the next few days, and it would launch on PC platforms like Steam and E-Station next month.

When that time came, Ye Su would have another industry under his name, allowing him to sit back and wait for the money to roll in.

"Done! Now I just have to wait for the money to find me!"

Returning to the car, Ye Su flicked his wrist, and the two contracts were stored into the system space. He then took out his phone and glanced at it.

[Industrial and Commercial Bank of China: Your card ending in 9539 had an expenditure of 1,500,000 yuan on July 22 at 14:59. Current balance is 24,727,382 yuan.]

Having just gotten used to his account having nine figures, seeing it suddenly drop to just over twenty million made Ye Su feel somewhat insecure.

"Over a hundred million, and in the blink of an eye, only twenty-some million is left. It seems I need to find another way to make money."

"Unfortunately, besides the information refreshes for antiques, gold, and such that can be directly converted into cash, the many industries I've invested in only provide a steady trickle. There's no way to get a large amount of cash all at once."

"Right now, the only way to get over ten million, besides a bank loan, is that meteorite left at Bowen Antique Shop. I wonder when a buyer will be found for that meteorite."

Buzz, buzz—

His phone vibrated. Ye Su unlocked it and looked at the message, his eyes instantly lighting up.

[Wan Yuanliang: My dad has already contacted a buyer for the meteorite you left here.]

"Talk about what you think is what you get."

Ye Su immediately replied to Wan Yuanliang's message.

[Uncle Wen's connections are indeed broad; he found a buyer so quickly.]

[Wan Yuanliang: However, there's one issue. The price you previously set was 12 million, but if you want to sell it quickly, it's hard to get that price. So the final price will be lower.]

"The price will be lower?"

Ye Su frowned and sent a voice message:

[How much lower will it be?]

[Wan Yuanliang: The final price probably won't be much higher than 11 million.]

[Wan Yuanliang: If you think this price is too low, you can also wait for my dad to keep looking for buyers, but that would take some more time.]

"11 million?"

Ye Su also knew that for a meteorite with an auction value of 12 million, it was indeed difficult to actually sell it for that price.

Even if he passed on this deal, the buyer Wan Bowen found next time would likely offer a price that wouldn't be much higher, and there was no telling how long it would take to find another buyer.

Rather than putting in all that useless effort only to potentially fail to get a higher price in the end...

He might as well sell the meteorite for 11 million and then invest that money into gold futures.

Entering another hundred lots of gold futures now, the money earned when the price of gold rose would likely be more than the few hundred thousand extra he'd get for the meteorite by having Wan Bowen spend several more months searching for a buyer.

Thinking of this, Ye Su didn't dwell on the million or so difference and replied:

[Fine, let it be a bit lower then.]

[Sell it sooner so I don't have to keep thinking about it.]

[Wan Yuanliang: Okay, then I'll tell my dad.]

[Wan Yuanliang: Are you free to come over and sign the contract now?]

[I'm free.]

[Should I go to your shop?]

[Wan Yuanliang: No, at Jiawen Auction House.]

[Wan Yuanliang: If you're free, my dad is there right now.]

[Alright, I'm heading over now. I should be there in ten minutes.]

[Wan Yuanliang: Okay.]

"Jiawen Auction House. It seems Uncle Wen is selling the meteorite to the auction house."

Having been bound to the system for five months and handled so many valuable items, Ye Su naturally knew about the famous auction houses and pawn shops in Yangcheng, including Jiawen Auction House.

Only an established auction house with such strong capital could easily swallow a meteorite worth over ten million.

He entered the name of Jiawen Auction House into the navigation. After confirming the drive was about ten minutes, Ye Su started the car and drove toward his destination.

The one thing Ye Su admired about Amap was that if it said ten minutes, it meant ten minutes.

Ten minutes later, Ye Su arrived at Jiawen Auction House right on time.

After parking his car and walking into Jiawen Auction House, a female receptionist in professional attire immediately approached him. She offered a smile that was much more sincere than usual and bowed slightly toward Ye Su.

"Hello, sir. How may I help you?"

"Hello, I'm looking for your Manager Huang, Manager Huang."

"May I ask what your name is?"

"My name is Ye Su."

"Mr. Ye, I see." Matching the name with the one her superior had just notified her of, the female employee made a "please" gesture.

"Please follow me. I will take you to Manager Huang's office."

Under the female employee's guidance, Ye Su arrived at an office on the third floor.

Knock, knock, knock—

The female employee knocked on the door a few times, and a man's voice came from inside the office:

"Come in."

The female employee opened the door, and Ye Su saw Wan Bowen was also in the office, sitting across from a middle-aged man around fifty years old.

"Manager Huang, Mr. Ye is here."

"Good."

She nodded to Ye Su, her eyes lighting up as she sized him up again, while also glancing at the "star king" on his wrist, before finally leaving with a lingering look.

"Uncle Wen."

After entering the room, Ye Su first greeted Wan Bowen before reaching out his hand to Manager Huang.

"Manager Huang, hello."

"Mr. Ye." Manager Huang shook Ye Su's hand warmly.

"It's truly better to meet once than to hear a hundred times. Bowen certainly wasn't exaggerating; Mr. Ye is indeed a man of great talent."

"Manager Huang, you flatter me."

After a few pleasantries upon their first meeting, Manager Huang got straight to the point.

"That meteorite of yours has been appraised by our auction house. It is indeed a genuine meteorite, and its appearance and condition are top-tier."

"Bowen and I have been old friends for over twenty years, so I won't give you any empty talk."

"If we built up hype beforehand and then put it in a large-scale auction, this meteorite could indeed fetch 12 million as you said, or even higher."

"But I heard from Bowen that you don't want to go through the trouble of a one or two-month process for a large-scale auction and intend to sell it immediately. Naturally, the price will be lower than if it went to auction."

"Given your needs, I can offer you two options. One is to go through the auction process for the sake of the price and see what the final transaction price is, but 12 million is only an estimate; I can't guarantee it will sell for that price."

"The other is for our auction house to purchase this meteorite directly from you for 11 million. Any subsequent price we auction it for, whether we make a profit or a loss, will be borne by the auction house itself. Which transaction method do you need?"

Ye Su had already made up his mind before coming, so there was no need to consider it further now.

"The second one. Cash on delivery."

Ye Su didn't think Manager Huang was taking the opportunity to press the price down.

If it went to auction, after the transaction and deducting the commission, he might not even end up with 11 million.

If it weren't for the connection through Wan Bowen, if Ye Su had come by himself, he probably wouldn't even have gotten this price.
