238: That grandson is you!

"Ye Su, can you be a bit more composed? What's a mere million?"

"Haven't you seen Li Shanhai? He casually gives away a watch that costs a million, doesn't he?"

"If you're this excited just seeing a million now, how will you ever accomplish anything big in the future!"

"A million is just the beginning. Soon, you'll have ten million!"

Waking up from the excitement of the seven-figure sum, Ye Su began to lecture himself, telling himself not to be so unrefined anymore.

Afterward, Ye Su added the 500,000 that had just arrived in his account to the calculator on his phone.

"That makes 1.43 million in savings!"

"There's another Level 4 intelligence report at dawn. If I work a bit harder, I'll strive to reach two million by tomorrow!"

After cheering himself on with a few words, Ye Su rested in the room for a while.

It was around one o'clock when he drove to the Lego flagship store at Jiajia Plaza.

At this hour, there weren't many people in the store. Amidst the envious gazes of the staff and the shocked, confused looks of a few customers, Ye Su hauled away two large carts of Lego bricks.

By the time he finished transporting all the bricks back into the room, it was just past two o'clock.

"The timing is just right."

Knock, knock, knock—

After waiting in the room until over forty minutes past two, the front door was knocked on for the first time.

"Coming."

Ye Su opened the door, and naturally, Wan Yuanliang was standing outside.

"Hey." Wan Yuanliang raised his hand in greeting.

Ye Su nodded in acknowledgment and walked back into the room on his own. "Come on in, make yourself at home."

"Sure."

After entering, Wan Yuanliang habitually looked around the room and could tell at a glance that no one usually lived in this house.

"The yuan datou are all on the table, and the Lego sets are in the room. Take a look yourself."

"Hey, dude." Hearing Ye Su skip all pleasantries and go straight to the point, Wan Yuanliang couldn't help but complain:

"When you came to my place, I treated you with good water and tea. Now that I'm here at yours, no tea is fine, but how come there's not even a drop of water?"

"Hehe." Ye Su also felt the situation was a bit awkward. "You see, my place is bare; I don't even have a teacup. I really can't host you properly."

Ye Su remembered the Moutai he had just gotten from Ye Kaijun and asked tentatively:

"Do you drink Moutai? How about I open a bottle for you, and you can just drink it straight from the bottle?"

"Never mind, let's just look at the items..."

Wan Yuanliang could tell that trying to get a cup of tea from Ye Su in this room was simply making things difficult for him.

"This round is on me. Next time we have a chance, I'll definitely treat you to a good meal."

"That's more like it."

After saying that, Wan Yuanliang walked over to the sofa, sat down, and began to inspect the yuan datou on the coffee table, which were divided into three piles by year.

"61 coins of the three-year version, 89 of the ten-year version, and 47 of the eight-year version. The price of 200,000 is no problem."

Out of trust in Ye Su, Wan Yuanliang did not check each of the nearly two hundred yuan datou individually.

He counted the quantity of the three versions of yuan datou and randomly picked a few from each version to inspect. After confirming there were no issues, Wan Yuanliang agreed to the price Ye Su had quoted on his phone earlier.

"Do you have a bag? Get me one so I can pack these yuan datou."

"Yes."

Ye Su trotted to the kitchen, rummaged through the cabinets, and brought Wan Yuanliang a crumpled trash bag.

"You... sigh..."

Wan Yuanliang was at a loss for words. Resigned, he took the trash bag and scooped the yuan datou, worth a total of 200,000, into the bag by the handful.

This action made Wan Yuanliang wonder if he was collecting antiques or just collecting junk.

"The Lego sets are in that room, right?"

After packing up the yuan datou, Wan Yuanliang pointed to the secondary bedroom and asked Ye Su.

"Yes."

Ye Su got up, went over, opened the door, and gestured for Wan Yuanliang to go in and take a look.

"Holy crap!"

Although Ye Su had already said over the phone that he had the entire [star wars] series of Lego bricks.

But when Wan Yuanliang walked to the doorway and saw the dazzling array of Lego boxes filling the room and piling up on the bed, he couldn't help but curse.

It was also his first time seeing such a spectacular scene outside of a Lego flagship store.

"Where on earth did you get all these Lego sets!"

Wan Yuanliang suddenly remembered the news he saw in a group chat the day before yesterday and asked uncertainly:

"On Monday, at the Lego flagship store in Jiajia Plaza, someone exchanged a golden prize note for a [star wars] series set—that bastard wouldn't happen to be you, would it?"

"Hey!" Ye Su said speechlessly. "Can you watch your language? What do you mean by [bastard]!"

Wan Yuanliang ignored Ye Su's rebuttal and looked at him in disbelief. "It really is you, you bastard!"

"..."

A large [star wars] Lego series set is worth at most just over 200,000.

For someone from a wealthy family like Wan Yuanliang, it wasn't really a big deal.

But the fact that the person who won the grand prize was right beside him—how could he accept that!

"Wait, dude, you can't possibly see through Lego boxes too, right?"

"See through them my ass. Do you really take me for an X-ray machine?"

"That's true."

Wan Yuanliang also felt that the idea of being able to see through Lego packaging was too absurd.

After the shock, Wan Yuanliang entered the room and began to pick out the Lego bricks he wanted.

Business is business, and Wan Yuanliang didn't hold back at all.

After some picking and choosing, he went straight for six boxes of the [Ultimate Collector Series], as well as the [Master Builder Series - Cloud City] and several other popular models with high market premiums.

"That's it. See how much it comes to."

"Let me see."

As Ye Su spoke, he opened the [Intelligence Details] from a few days ago and quoted the prices to Wan Yuanliang one by one.

"It comes to a total of 86,000."

"OK."

Wan Yuanliang had no objections to Ye Su's quote and then looked at the peach wood cabinet, wooden box, and other items on the side.

He finally realized.

Ye Su rented this place purely to store items.

No wonder he felt this house didn't look like anyone lived in it as soon as he walked in.

"Is everything here for sale?"

Ye Su pointed to the bed where the Lego sets were: "Except for the landlord's bed, nightstand, and wardrobe, everything else is for sale."

"Alright." Wan Yuanliang pointed to the peach wood cabinet: "How much for this cabinet?"

"4,000, just to round it up to 90,000."

"Deal."

Wan Yuanliang then opened the wooden box on the side:

"Oh, a box of old books too. You really hid this stuff well. If I hadn't come over, I wouldn't have known you were hiding so many things at home."

"What do you mean 'hiding'? I was just afraid you'd think the items weren't good enough, so I didn't bring them to you."

Wan Yuanliang flipped through the old books in the box, then nodded: "These books are in decent condition. I'll take them too. How much?"

"Let's say 20,000, to give you a round number."

This box of old books was something he got when he dug up the [Fei Wen Yuan Silver Shop · Gold Diamond Emerald Jewelry Design Drawing] last time.

That design drawing file had already been exchanged for a jewelry profit-sharing contract, which was a huge profit.

The money from selling this box of old books was just a bonus, and Ye Su couldn't be bothered to calculate it too precisely.
