282: Give Lao Deng a factory

"Guying City, No. 23 Dingwei Road, Xingchao Garment Factory. Isn't that the garment factory back home? Why would the [hidden easter egg] give me this piece of information?"

Ye Su was a bit confused:

"It costs 180,000 to take over all the equipment. It's not like the second-hand echo shop last time, where besides the profit from the existing inventory, there were four gold bars to be had."

He thought the [hidden easter egg] this time would just refresh some useless Tier 1 information.

Ye Su was just about to return the system screen to today's [Information Page] to continue thinking about how to make money from e-commerce sellers.

Just then, a flash of inspiration hit Ye Su's mind:

"To be able to sell out on all major e-commerce platforms, the total upstream and downstream sales of the [great sage swimsuit] must be in the hundreds of thousands."

"And since all the online stores started pre-sales due to being out of stock, it means that at that time, the production capacity of the upstream garment factory definitely couldn't keep up, leading to all the online stores queuing up and waiting for the factory to ship."

"Since the upstream garment factory will be out of stock, I can simply take over the factory now and have the workers start rushing production immediately, putting all efforts into making the [great sage swimsuit]."

"It would be best to prepare a large batch of [great sage swimsuit] before it goes viral. Then, I can sell them directly to the major online stores, shifting the risks of unsold inventory and buyer returns entirely onto those online stores."

The more Ye Su thought about it, the more he felt this approach was much more reliable than hoarding [sunscreen clothing] last time and selling them one by one through several online stores.

"The information already stated that the [great sage swimsuit] will rise from the initial 99 yuan to 149 yuan each."

"Scarcity creates value. When all the online stores are throwing money around to grab stock, selling them for sixty yuan each shouldn't be too excessive, right?"

"Calculating based on a 50% return rate and the risk of inventory backlog, wholesaling them for 60 yuan each versus selling them on my own online store for over a hundred yuan should result in roughly the same overall profit."

"However, after the [great sage swimsuit] goes viral, many small garment factories will definitely jump on the bandwagon. The swimsuits they make in a rush will certainly vary in quality."

"To wholesale swimsuits directly to major online stores, I still need to ensure the quality is decent."

"Besides, that garment factory can be handed over to Ye Laodeng to manage, letting him return to his old trade instead of driving a car out every day. Isn't that the best of both worlds?"

"Anyway, to take over the garment factory, the equipment only costs 180,000. Based on the wage level back home, 51 workers would cost at most 200,000 to 300,000 in monthly wages. Plus other miscellaneous expenses, a monthly budget of over 300,000 should be enough."

"That amount of money is enough to cover the factory's expenses for two months just from the income of a single Tier 4 piece of information."

"At most, I'll pay for everything for the garment factory after finishing the [great sage swimsuit] order. If it loses money, it's all on me; if it makes money, I'll just split it with Ye Laodeng."

With his brain running at high speed, Ye Su had a rough concept of how to use today's swimsuit information to make money.

"Oh right, I have to check if anyone is currently selling the [great sage swimsuit]. I can buy out their stock in advance so they have nothing to sell when the time comes!"

No sooner said than done.

Ye Su returned to the information details page, had the system send an electronic version of the design drawing to his phone, and then used the image search function to look it up.

He discovered that on several e-commerce platforms, no one was selling the [great sage swimsuit] yet; the search results were all for the animated version of [Journey to the West].

"No one online is selling the [great sage swimsuit] yet, which means the factories haven't started producing them?"

"If that's the case, even if the factories are already producing the [great sage swimsuit], they definitely wouldn't dare make too many at the start. They would only produce a small batch first, and only after it gets snapped up would they dare to invest in mass production."

This situation meant that if Ye Su wanted to hoard [great sage swimsuit] in advance, he would have to take over the garment factory himself and start production, or contact a garment factory and have them produce it on his behalf.

"Since that's the case, I'll just take over the Xingchao Garment Factory."

"After finishing this order, if there are no subsequent orders and it keeps losing money, or if Ye Laodeng doesn't want to do it anymore, I can just transfer the factory and compensate the workers a bit."

After thinking it over carefully and feeling that this plan was feasible, Ye Su closed the system interface:

"Time to sleep."

After saying that, he turned over and pulled Chen Xinyi into his arms, even resting one leg on her, treating Chen Xinyi like a sleeping pillow, before using the [Sleep Aid Service] to let them both enter deep sleep.

...

Nothing happened throughout the night.

Ding, ding, ding—

The next morning.

Chen Xinyi's alarm went off, and her eyes opened along with it.

Just as she wanted to turn over to grab the phone on the nightstand to turn off the alarm, Chen Xinyi felt like a mountain was pressing on her thigh.

She didn't even need to think to know that it was that leg of someone's that he habitually rested on her.

When the quilt was lifted, sure enough, she saw Ye Su sprawled out without any dignity, occupying more than half the bed by himself.

The alarm was ringing, and the quilt had been lifted, so Ye Su naturally woke up too.

Upon waking, Ye Su's mouth opened a step earlier than his eyes:

"Why are you workers like this? You have to get up early, yet you don't even know how to turn off the alarm, and you even lifted my quilt."

"You have the nerve to file a complaint first? My leg is numb from you pressing on it!"

Chen Xinyi struggled to kick off Ye Su's leg that was resting on her:

"If this keeps up, one day I'll have to go to the hospital for an amputation because of poor blood circulation all night!"

After saying that, Chen Xinyi turned over, grabbed her phone, and pressed the alarm off.

"Hehe, my bad." Ye Su knew he was in the wrong and started grinning cheekily again: "Where is the blood circulation poor? Let me rub it for you."

"I won't trouble you, Boss Ye. I can get up and move around myself!"

Chen Xinyi wouldn't dare let Ye Su rub her leg.

It was early in the morning; if he really started, who knows what might happen.

"Don't be so polite. You know my massage technique; it's guaranteed to be effective and work well."

"Quit the chatter. Hurry up and get up to brush your teeth and eat. I still have to go to the Guang Yu Theater today to sign a contract and get the script."

"Alright then." His plan foiled, Ye Su looked disappointed.

Seeing his expression, Chen Xinyi knew that Ye Su definitely wasn't thinking of anything good just now.

"Do you want me to pick you up in the afternoon?"

"No need. I'm not a child, are you afraid I'll get lost? I'll get off work early tonight and just take a taxi there myself. But I'll probably be back a bit late, so if you're hungry, just eat first, don't wait for me."

Although everything major was centered around Ye Su, when it came to food, clothing, housing, and transportation, Chen Xinyi still displayed her big sister nature as always, worried about Ye Su not eating enough or being cold.

"We'll see tonight."

After ending their early morning bickering, Ye Su also got up with Chen Xinyi, and they each occupied a bathroom to start washing up.
