11: Chapter 11 Planning a Chip Factory

As Chen Mo returned to his company in Magic City, Zhang Kai walked in carrying a stack of reports, his face beaming with unconcealed excitement:

"CEO Chen! You're finally back! These are the performance reports for the last two months, please take a look!"

He spread the reports on the office desk and pointed at the figures:

"The League of Heroes earned 1.38 billion domestically in January, and 42 million US dollars overseas. In February, it was 1.25 billion domestically and 45 million US dollars overseas! That totals 3.2 billion!"

Chen Mo casually flipped through them, a smile playing on his lips:

"The Lunar New Year limited edition skins sold well, huh?"

"More than just well!"

Zhang Kai laughed:

"The draw for the Dragon Lee Sin skin drove people crazy. Many players spent a fortune trying to draw it, and some even created dedicated groups to share drawing techniques!"

"What about the Fetion data?"

Chen Mo inquired.

"Even more explosive!"

Zhang Kai's eyes lit up.

"From New Year's Eve to the fifteenth, 36 billion in red packets were sent out over 16 days. Users directly skyrocketed to 410 million, with active users exceeding 270 million! Registration now requires real-name verification; there isn't a single fake account!"

Chen Mo nodded, tapping his fingertips on the desk:

"Continue promoting Fetion with standard operations. But keep a close watch on Tencent, especially WeChat. Whatever activity they launch, we must follow immediately. We don't need to lead, but we cannot fall behind. Also, start pushing Fetion QR code payment in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen first."

"Understood!"

Zhang Kai quickly took notes.

"What about the League of Heroes's professional league?"

"Do it!"

Chen Mo decided decisively.

"Host the Global Finals in Magic City. The total prize pool should be no less than 18 million US dollars. We need to invite European and American teams, and our Dragon Country teams must also be present. Get the league system established early."

Zhang Kai was stunned:

"18 million US dollars? That's 180 times more than the S1 prize pool last year!"

"That's the momentum we need."

Chen Mo smiled.

"Let the whole world know that our league is the most top-tier."

As he was speaking, a system notification suddenly sounded in his mind:

"Ding, this month's drawing chances have refreshed. Does the host wish to start drawing?"

"Draw,"

Chen Mo silently commanded in his mind.

"Ding, congratulations to the host for drawing the Grandmaster Level Manufacturing Skill!"

Instantly, countless pieces of knowledge about manufacturing processes flooded his mind. Any artificial object he had encountered, he could now master its manufacturing process and even optimize and upgrade it.

Chen Mo's heart stirred. He picked up the Fruit 4S on his desk, his fingertips caressing the casing. The manufacturing processes for the phone's chip, screen, and battery instantly became crystal clear.

"Zhang Kai, come here."

Chen Mo beckoned.

Zhang Kai approached:

"CEO Chen, what are your further instructions?"

"We are going to build a chip factory,"

Chen Mo stated directly.

Zhang Kai almost lost his footing:

"What? A chip factory? That's a money-burning venture, and the technical threshold is incredibly high!"

"I have the technology,"

Chen Mo shook his phone.

"32nm chip manufacturing technology, along with lithography machine blueprints. That's the most advanced level internationally right now. You go to the capital, apply to the state to build the factory, and tell them we are donating the technology to the country free of charge, solely for military use. In return, the state must prioritize helping us produce lithography machines."

Zhang Kai was dumbfounded:

"32nm? And donating technology for free? CEO Chen, you are planning something huge!"

"More than just a chip factory."

Chen Mo looked out the window.

"In the future, we will also build phone factories, battery factories, car factories, and even rocket factories. This piece of land needs to be large. Let's set it in my home province, close to where I grew up."

Zhang Kai swallowed hard:

"CEO Chen, the workload on me is already piled up. Can we hire a few more people?"

Chen Mo considered it:

"Yes, I'll assign you a few assistants. They must be capable workers. Name any salary, but they absolutely cannot enter management, and forget about shares. The company belongs to me alone."

"No problem!"

Zhang Kai breathed a sigh of relief. As long as he had help, no amount of hard work would be too much.

A week later, Zhang Kai returned with good news:

"CEO Chen, the state approved it! Not only did they grant us a massive plot of land, but they also promised to prioritize allocating technical personnel and provide substantial subsidies—eight years tax-free and four years with halved taxes!"

Chen Mo nodded:

"Have my father come to be the factory director. He's restless and this is a perfect occupation for him."

Zhang Kai cheerfully agreed:

"Uncle serving as director couldn't be more fitting!"

In the following days, Chen Mo enjoyed some leisure. He occasionally visited the company to check on progress, spending the rest of his time with Wu Xue and Wu Dongju.

As Tianxing Technology grew larger, involving gaming, communications, and chips, the attitudes of the two women toward him changed considerably. They no longer quarreled over trivial matters like before, but were instead considerate in every way.

"You are a very busy man now, don't overwork yourself,"

Wu Xue brewed him a cup of tea, her gaze gentle.

Wu Dongju, uncharacteristically, didn't argue:

"That's right. Money can never be fully earned; your health is what matters most."

Chen Mo wrapped his arms around both of them and said with a smile:

"Having you both by my side makes even the hardest work worthwhile."

Meanwhile, Fetion users surpassed 630 million, just one step away from Alipay's 820 million users.

The League of Heroes's monthly profit stabilized at 1.5 billion, and the announcement of the professional league sent players worldwide into a frenzy.

The chip factory officially broke ground, and the expert team sent by the state had already arrived.

Over at Tencent, however, gloom hung heavy. WeChat users stalled after barely breaking 150 million, utterly unable to fight back under the crushing dominance of Fetion.

Brother Ma slammed the table during the board meeting, but no matter how much capital they poured in, they couldn't keep up with Fetion's pace.

After all, Fetion's optimization, features, and subsidies were things they simply couldn't match.

Chen Mo stood before the floor-to-ceiling window of his office, gazing at the bustling night view of Magic City, his heart filled with anticipation.

The chip factory was just the beginning. What he intended to build was a massive industrial empire—not just to make money, but to ensure that Dragon Country stood at the pinnacle of the world in every field.

"Next, it's time to prepare for mobile phones and 4G networks,"

Chen Mo murmured softly, a gleam shining in his eyes.

The live-streaming era was approaching, and he certainly wouldn't miss that wave.
