149: Chapter 149 Daocheng

"Holy crap, holy crap! This is so satisfying! The Japanese are completely deflated now. They were so arrogant before, but now they're bowing their heads and begging for mercy. Watching this feels great!"

"Exactly! The country's three moves were too ruthless: cutting off high-level interactions, scrapping hundreds of billions in cooperation, and stopping all exchanges. The Coast Guard ships are guarding the Diaoyu Islands so tightly. It's so heartening!"

"President Chen is the real big boss! Once Tianxing Capital made its move, the Japanese stock market crashed to the bottom, the Yen depreciated until it was worthless, and all those Japanese companies' products were pulled from shelves in China. They lost everything down to their underwear. They deserve it!"

"Those Japanese politicians who were jumping around before don't even dare to show their faces now, like shrinking turtles. If they knew it would be this miserable, why did they act like jerks and provoke us in the first place?"

"Our country is truly tough! We won't give an inch on sovereignty issues. This time, the Japanese are completely beaten into submission. Let's see who dares to step on our red line in the future!"

"I said we shouldn't pamper them; we have to deal with them ruthlessly so they remember the lesson. Those who invade our territory will be fought until the final chapter! Those who offend our China will definitely suffer the consequences!"

"The whole internet is celebrating! This wave of counterattacks was played beautifully. We've finally vented that pent-up frustration. It feels wonderful!"

"The Japanese economy is completely finished this time. Without our market, let's see how they survive. The retribution for being double-faced has arrived!"

"Seeing news of Japanese citizens scrambling for supplies, factories shutting down, and layoffs everywhere, I don't feel a bit of sympathy. They brought it on themselves!"

"The country is awesome! President Chen is awesome! We Dragon Country people are united as one, and we fear no one!"

"Dignity only exists on the edge of a sword; truth only exists within the range of a cannon!"

"If anyone dares to provoke us in the future, just follow this example—go head-to-head until the end, absolutely no mercy!"

"For wolves, we must have shotguns! No leniency!"

"It's finally quieted down. Now we can live our lives in peace. A strong country is truly a good thing!"

This storm that had enraged the entire internet finally ended with Japan's crushing defeat and submission.

Wu Dongju, Wu Xue, and Liu Yifei were busy with company affairs; Yang Mi, Dilraba Dilmurat, Guli Nazha, and Zhao Liying were all busy filming on set; and Su Yingxue, having recovered her health, had returned to her hometown.

Everyone was busy except for Nalan Ruoshui, who was still in school and had the most free time.

In the evening, Chen Mo drove to the university entrance to pick her up.

Nalan Ruoshui ran over from the school gate and asked as soon as she got into the car,

"Chen Mo, why are you here? Is all the company business finished?"

Chen Mo ruffled her hair and said with a smile,

"It's all finished. I promised to take you to Daocheng last year; I'm fulfilling that promise now. We leave tomorrow."

Nalan Ruoshui said happily,

"Really? I thought you'd forgotten! Hearing your description last year, I really wanted to see the snow-capped mountains there!"

Seeing her happy expression, Chen Mo smiled and said,

"I didn't forget, how could I forget? This time I'll take you to Daocheng to see a proper autumn fairy tale."

In November, the Western Sichuan Plateau was already saturated with the crispness of late autumn.

The deeper the car drove, the bluer the sky became, the lower the clouds hung, and the air carried the cool moisture of melting snow from the mountains. Even breathing became clean.

Upon entering the Daocheng area, they were stunned at first sight.

The poplar trees covering the mountains were all dyed gold. When the wind blew, the yellow leaves rustled down, carpeting the entire highway. As the sunlight shone at an angle, the whole valley looked as if it were wrapped in gold.

Occasionally, the wooden houses of Tibetan people could be seen by the roadside, with black tiles and wooden walls. Strings of highland barley and yak horns hung under the eaves. An elderly Tibetan man in a robe sat at the door turning a prayer wheel, chanting scriptures in a low voice. Whenever a passerby went by, he would smile and say:

"Tashi Delek."

Moving further in, Three Sacred Mountains suddenly appeared before their eyes.

The Xiannairi Snow Peak looked like a seated Great Buddha, its summit covered in snow year-round and its waist shrouded in mist, like a pure white Hada scarf gently wrapped around it;

Yangmaiyong was sharp and towering, like a sharp sword piercing the sky, appearing holy and majestic under the clear sky;

Xianuoduoji was robust and bold with sharp lines, and as the sunlight spilled over the snowy peak, it shimmered with a faint golden light.

Nalan Ruoshui leaned against the car window, staring blankly at the scenery outside.

"So this is Daocheng! It's even more beautiful than I imagined."

Looking out the window, Chen Mo recalled a line from the movie 'i belonged to you':

"I'll tell you a secret: there is a place called Daocheng. I want to go there with the person I love most, to see the azure sky, the white snow-capped mountains, the golden grasslands, and to see an autumn fairy tale."

Entering Yading Village, Tibetan-style dwellings were scattered about, with prayer flags fluttering from every household. When the wind blew, the prayer flags rustled loudly, as if chanting blessings of peace.

The Tibetan people wore traditional robes. Men led horses, while women carried bamboo baskets on their backs, their faces showing the ruddy glow tanned by the plateau sun.

The rich aroma of butter tea and the toasted scent of highland barley cakes wafted from the small shops by the roadside.

Early the next morning, the two walked along the wooden path into the depths of the scenic area.

On both sides of the path were golden fir forests, the leaves transitioning from deep green to orange-red and bright yellow in layered clusters.

Reaching Pearl Lake, the water's surface was calm and without a ripple, like a piece of green jade. The Xiannairi Snow Mountain was perfectly reflected in the lake. The blue sky, white clouds, golden leaves, and snowy peaks were all melted into this pool of water, making it impossible to tell if the lake was in the sky or the sky was in the lake.

Nalan Ruoshui squatted by the lake, her fingertips gently touching the icy water, and whispered:

"I hope there is someone like you, like the refreshing wind in the mountains, like the warm light in an ancient city, from morning until night, from the wild hills to the study room."

Standing behind her, Chen Mo continued:

"I hope there is someone like you, who goes through the future and counts every milepost of life."

Hearing Chen Mo's voice, Nalan Ruoshui looked up at him and said,

"Chen Mo, you've also read the book 'i belonged to you'."

Chen Mo looked at Nalan Ruoshui with doting eyes and nodded with a smile.

Then Chen Mo realized something and looked at the lovely girl before him, saying,

"Ruoshui, if you've read this book, you must have known about Daocheng. You actually tricked me into thinking you didn't!"

Nalan Ruoshui replied with a wandering gaze,

"Is that so? Did I say that? I don't know!"

"Alright, Ruoshui, you actually fooled me. See how I deal with you!"

With that, Chen Mo stepped forward as if to tickle her. Seeing Chen Mo's movement, Nalan Ruoshui ran forward with a giggle.

Laughing and playing all the way, they arrived at Luorong Cattle Farm.

The vast meadows had turned a caramel color, and a stream meandered through. A few yaks leisurely swished their tails while grazing. In the distance, the Three Sacred Mountains stood side by side, solemn and serene.

There was no city bustle here, no interruptions from mobile phones—only the sound of the wind, the water, and the calls of cattle and sheep.

Nalan Ruoshui took Chen Mo's hand and walked slowly across the meadow.

"I passed through your whole world, but I hope you are the destination of my whole world."

Chen Mo held her hand tightly and pointed to the distant Yangmaiyong Snow Mountain, saying,

"In the book, Mao Shiba said this is Chonggu Temple, a place for marriage proposals. Because the sky is the bluest, you are an angel. You descended into my world, replacing the four seasons with joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness."

After saying this, Chen Mo pulled Nalan Ruoshui close and looked down at her, saying,

"The thing about being in love is that we must be together forever."

The wind blew from the snow-capped mountains, carrying a holy aura. The prayer flags fluttered overhead, and the faint sound of Tibetan chanting drifted from afar.

Nalan Ruoshui stepped forward to hug Chen Mo, pressing her head against his chest, her eyes growing slightly warm.

Chen Mo looked at the beloved girl in his arms. He had fulfilled last year's promise, taking his beloved girl to see an autumn fairy tale.
