266: Galactus

In space, Lin Tianwei soared freely like a fish.

It had been a full half an hour since Lin Tianwei left the Blue Star, and he had barely adapted to the environment of the universe.

Lack of oxygen?

Lin Tianwei had long become a transcendent being capable of surviving independently without oxygen.

Although Lin Tianwei's physical movements did not rely on energy provided by respiration for survival.

Even in a state of hypoxia, Lin Tianwei's body could move freely.

However, the instincts he had developed over countless years still made him instinctively breathe.

Yet, in the airless universe, Lin Tianwei couldn't breathe in any air at all.

Even because his respiratory tract was open, gases rapidly escaped from his body, giving Lin Tianwei a feeling of intense pressure.

Under these circumstances, Lin Tianwei had no choice but to close the channels for air exchange between his body and the outside world.

Because so-called breathing not only failed to provide him with energy but also wasted his physical strength.

With a self-deprecating smile, Lin Tianwei thought to himself, “Perhaps from now on, I should get used to this mode of survival.”

“Breathing? For me, who doesn't rely on respiration for energy, it's just a burden.”

Fortunately, Lin Tianwei's adaptability was incredibly strong; in less than half an hour, he had adapted to this new mode of survival.

He gradually became familiar with this mode of survival, which was completely different from that of Blue Star organisms.

Although there was no air in space, this was not entirely a bad thing for Lin Tianwei.

After all, with less air friction, every bit of his strength became more efficient.

A simple movement, a slight exertion of force, could send Lin Tianwei flying a considerable distance in space.

For Lin Tianwei, it was an incredibly novel experience.

A flash of realization crossed Lin Tianwei's mind; perhaps he should gradually adapt to the effects of gravity changes on him.

After all, Lin Tianwei was very likely to encounter people who could manipulate gravity in the future.

As time passed, Lin Tianwei's journey into space gradually encountered trouble.

Space, though incredibly quiet and devoid of any sound, was also full of dangers.

The biggest dangers were the space debris and giant meteorites floating aimlessly in space.

They moved at extremely high speeds.

Their volume and mass might not be large, but with the terrifying speed, any collision could cause a terrible disaster.

There had been spacecraft that were destroyed due to collisions with space debris.

Of course, this danger only applied to targets that were not strong enough.

For the sufficiently powerful Lin Tianwei, space debris that could pose a danger to him basically did not exist.

The only things he needed to be careful of were the giant planets.

Their immense size and weight allowed them to generate terrifying gravitational forces, madly attracting any passing matter.

However, these planets were not too difficult for Lin Tianwei, who could break free from Blue Star's gravity with his own strength.

With a slight burst of power, Lin Tianwei could easily break free from the gravitational pull of these planets.

In fact, if Lin Tianwei wanted to, he could completely destroy any planet.

So, for Lin Tianwei, this journey out of Blue Star was actually a very easy one.

It was as easy and carefree as playing in his own backyard.

In a sense, the entire Milky Way Galaxy was actually Lin Tianwei's backyard.

After all, a place where no one came forward to declare sovereignty was equivalent to Lin Tianwei's possession.

However, considering the potential butterfly effect of wantonly destroying things in the Milky Way Galaxy, Lin Tianwei did not do anything extra.

After all, he still had serious business to attend to.

To find a suitable small planet as his prey, devour it completely, and transform it into his origin.

He wandered for a very, very long time.

After more than a week, Lin Tianwei finally found his target.

A meteorite, a meteorite of suitable size, moving at high speed.

This was the target Lin Tianwei found, a target suitable for him to use his Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical)!

Facing the terrifyingly fast meteorite, Lin Tianwei showed no fear in his eyes.

Instead of retreating, he advanced.

Lin Tianwei directly accelerated and blocked the path of this meteorite.

In front of Lin Tianwei's mere three-hundred-meter-long body, this two-thousand-meter-long meteorite seemed like a behemoth.

With incredibly terrifying power, the meteorite crashed head-on into Lin Tianwei.

Bang.

The giant meteorite slammed heavily into Lin Tianwei, emitting a muffled sound.

A terrifying force erupted, sending him flying backward uncontrollably.

This was not because Lin Tianwei's strength was inferior to that of the meteorite.

It was simply that in a zero-gravity environment like space, it was very easy to be affected by external forces and move uncontrollably.

Terrifying Mental Power erupted!

Lin Tianwei had no intention of taking this free ride, named Meteorite, to an unknown distant place.

To stop it, it was simple: just apply a force that counteracted its kinetic energy.

Gradually, under the thrust of Lin Tianwei's reaction force, the meteorite's speed became slower and slower.

Finally, under Lin Tianwei's precise control, this meteorite achieved a subtle balance.

It just stopped in front of Lin Tianwei, as if it had been completely tamed.

A sharp glint flashed in Lin Tianwei's eyes.

Now that this meteorite had been tamed by him, it was time to try out the power of Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical).

Thinking of this, Lin Tianwei used his consciousness as an anchor point and began to communicate with the meteorite in front of him.

As a meteorite that had been tamed by Lin Tianwei and was quietly suspended in space, it naturally had no resistance against Lin Tianwei.

Finally, after less than a day, Lin Tianwei felt his Mental Power permeate the entire meteorite.

A sudden enlightenment!

Lin Tianwei sensed that the prerequisite for using Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical) had been met, and without hesitation, he instantly used this Talent.

Then, something miraculous happened.

The moment Lin Tianwei activated his Talent, a special power seemed to appear in the void, directly absorbing the meteorite into it.

A several-thousand-meter-long meteorite just disappeared directly before Lin Tianwei's eyes.

No, it didn't disappear, but rather existed within Lin Tianwei's body in another way.

Lin Tianwei could clearly sense an exotic space being opened up within his body.

It was incredibly vast, at least far larger than Lin Tianwei's current size.

It was just large enough to envelop the enormous meteorite he had just encountered.

Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical)?

It was indeed a Talent that involved devouring planets whole.

However, although this meteorite looked enormous, it was not actually a planet.

It could barely be considered a planetary fragment.

But it was very suitable as a tool for Lin Tianwei to test his Talent.

Perhaps this was a Talent that incorporated some kind of spatial power.

Upon realizing this, Lin Tianwei was startled to find that these mythical-level Talents might be an even more valuable asset than he had imagined.

A fortune that could allow him to acquire more powerful Talents.

Just like Lin Tianwei's combined Talent.

Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical) was like an already combined Talent.

By tracing the combined Talent back to its origin, one could master the Talents that constituted it.

It was a pity that with Lin Tianwei's current knowledge and abilities, he was completely unable to analyze Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical), this mythical-level Talent.

Naturally, he also could not obtain the sub-Talents that made up this Talent.

Sighing, Lin Tianwei thought to himself that the knowledge he possessed was still too little.

But it didn't matter, his life as a tiger had just begun, and he had plenty of time to acquire more knowledge.

Decades might seem long to Blue Star organisms, but to the vast universe, it was but a drop in the ocean.

Some powerful cosmic beings lived even longer than galaxies.

Thousands of years? Tens of thousands of years?

Time that seemed incredibly long in the eyes of Blue Star organisms might just be the time it took for these powerful beings to take a nap.

Putting aside his thoughts, Lin Tianwei began to seriously study the mythical-level Talent of Star Devouring.

This might be the key to his rapid strengthening.

As his Mental Power sensed, Lin Tianwei miraculously discovered that a new space had actually been opened up in his body by the Star Devouring Talent.

A unique space, independent of the universe he was in.

This space was very tiny, only the size of a dot, with a diameter of even less than a meter.

Yet, like a mustard seed containing Mount Sumeru, it directly took in the several-thousand-meter-long meteorite, and still had plenty of room.

Conservatively estimated, Lin Tianwei felt that the space within his body had a diameter of at least a billion meters.

The seemingly enormous meteorite appeared incredibly tiny within it.

He had actually opened up a space?

A new space completely belonging to him?

A vast space that could even contain the Blue Star?

Lin Tianwei hadn't expected such a pleasant surprise.

Spatial Talent had always been a Talent he coveted immensely.

Although he hadn't mastered spatial-type Talents yet.

Through Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical), Lin Tianwei had indeed accomplished something that only spatial Talents could do.

Through Mental Power perception, Lin Tianwei discovered that although this space was currently empty, with nothing but that meteorite, it was a space that he could completely control.

Thinking of this, a thought flashed through Lin Tianwei's mind, and a piece of unknown debris floating beside him was immediately taken into the space.

As another thought flashed through Lin Tianwei's mind, the debris was released by Lin Tianwei again.

This experience was incredibly novel for Lin Tianwei, so much so that he spent a full three hours adapting to it.

Only then did he completely master the ability to freely store and retrieve items through space.

Lin Tianwei was very satisfied.

This ability to store and retrieve items at will was simply a divine skill for robbery, murder, and essential for home travel.

The next thing to do was much simpler.

Lin Tianwei only needed to devour this meteorite and then transform it into a source that could make him stronger.

Thinking of this, Lin Tianwei found a lifeless dead star and lay on it to rest.

Although the description of the Star Devouring Talent was simple, using it was quite troublesome.

Taking a planet into his body was only the first step of this Talent.

Next, Lin Tianwei needed to focus wholeheartedly, using his powerful spirit to wear down this meteorite and transform it into its origin.

That's right, he had to use the invisible thing called spirit to wear down the tangible thing called a meteorite.

This was destined to be an incredibly long process.

Thinking of this, Lin Tianwei closed his eyes, as if in a deep sleep, and fully concentrated on communicating with his space.

And the meteorite quietly suspended within that space.

One hour.

Five hours.

Three days!

The speed at which Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical) digested the meteorite was far slower than Lin Tianwei had imagined.

Or rather, Lin Tianwei's strength was simply too low.

Even with a mythical-level Talent, he was completely unable to unleash its full capabilities.

He could only, little by little, use his spirit to wear down the meteorite he had swallowed into his space.

“Ding, congratulations to the host for devouring part of the meteorite, gaining 1.2 origin and thirteen million Talent Fragments!”

This was Lin Tianwei's total harvest over these three days.

It seemed small, but it had already digested one-third of the three-thousand-meter-long meteorite.

This result seemed poor, but in reality, it was absurdly exaggerated.

Thirteen million Talent Fragments, needless to say, were worth thirteen transcendent-level Talents.

On Blue Star, especially after having hunted enough Talents, Lin Tianwei's speed of acquiring Talent Fragments was greatly limited.

Even if he went on a killing spree, Lin Tianwei would need to slaughter half of Blue Star's life to obtain so many Talent Fragments.

After all, not all creatures were like the Star Devouring Beast Avatar, having endless wool for Lin Tianwei to pluck.

And now, in just three days, Lin Tianwei could obtain such a terrifying harvest.

The origin was even more needless to say.

Although 1.2 seemed small, Lin Tianwei previously had less than half a point of origin.

Although this 1.2 origin was not much, it was enough to make Lin Tianwei even stronger.

What's more, this meteorite was just common space debris, a fragment of a dead star, the lowest-grade ordinary rock.

Aside from its size, it was completely useless.

The origin obtained by Talent: Star Devourer (Mythical) was not fixed.

Instead, it could obtain origin matching the strength of the devoured target.

In other words, the stronger the devoured target, the more origin Lin Tianwei would obtain.

This was definitely a Talent with infinite potential!

Thinking of this, Lin Tianwei looked down at his claws.

The last time, his remaining origin was used on one claw to refine the Behemoth's body.

And now, with more origin, he might also begin to strengthen his other claws.

Little by little, until his entire body was strengthened into an indestructible Behemoth's body.

However, with limited origin, Lin Tianwei naturally prioritized the Reinforcement of himself.

His claws, as Lin Tianwei's powerful weapons, were naturally the highest priority for Reinforcement.

As a golden light representing the origin lit up, Lin Tianwei's claws began to be reinforced little by little.

From an ordinary flesh and blood body, it gradually progressed towards a powerful Behemoth's body. (End of this chapter)
