28: The second opponent!

The thousand-pound mutated Grizzly Sandru was now riddled with holes from Lin Tianwei's continuous gnawing.

Since his appetite was limited, Lin Tianwei naturally chose the best parts.

The internal organs were essential.

After finishing, Lin Tianwei set his sights on Sandru's bear paws.

Even as a human, Lin Tianwei had heard that bear paws were incredibly delicious and highly nutritious.

He never expected that, in this new life, he would enjoy the most natural taste of bear paw.

Soft, chewy, and springy, both the texture and flavor were excellent.

Although it wasn't as delicious as he had imagined, it was still passable.

It was just a pity that a bear only had four paws, making Lin Tianwei feel like he hadn't eaten his fill.

Sandru was enormous, and even after Lin Tianwei had eaten his fill, a large portion still remained.

Yawning lazily, Lin Tianwei lay down, ready to sleep.

Unaware of the Beast Arena's procedures, he could only adapt to whatever came his way.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

The familiar sound of bullets cutting through the air made Lin Tianwei immediately alert.

He rolled on the ground, attempting to dodge the sudden attack.

However, his large size and insufficient speed meant he could only barely evade a few tranquilizer darts.

More tranquilizer darts still struck Lin Tianwei's body.

The powerful tranquilizer darts, turning into liquid, rapidly entered Lin Tianwei's system.

They attempted to knock him out directly.

It was a pity that, for Lin Tianwei, who possessed anesthetic resistance, these few tranquilizer darts were mere child's play.

To prevent humans from knowing the limits of his drug resistance, Lin Tianwei hesitated for a moment, then once again put on a fake collapse.

His steady steps began to falter.

His bright, spirited eyes started to lose their luster.

“Ah, I’m out of strength.”

“Ah, I fell.”

“Ah, I’m unconscious.”

A triple act, and while Lin Tianwei’s acting was mediocre, no one expected a Siberian Tiger to be so cunning, and for a time, no one noticed anything amiss.

Several familiar security guards reappeared.

They used all their strength to lift Lin Tianwei.

They walked back in the direction they came from.

As they neared the steel wall, a large door opened again.

After placing Lin Tianwei back in his original cage, they returned to the Arena's center.

They still needed to clean up the remains left by Sandru!

As a mutated beast, Sandru’s genes had been twisted beyond recognition.

Humans consuming it rashly could potentially suffer significant health impacts.

They naturally wouldn't eat such harmful meat.

Fortunately, there were countless hungry beasts here.

They would be the most merciless flesh-and-blood recycling machines.

Moreover, mutated flesh was even the most nourishing tonic for them.

If it could lead to the birth of even stronger mutated monsters, it would be a huge gain for the Ismail Institute.

“I never expected that the unknown Siberian Tiger would ultimately win this battle.”

“When it faced Grizzly Sandru, I thought it would be annihilated.”

“There’s a lot you didn’t expect.”

“No beast sent here is simple.”

“You’re the foolish one for treating him like an ordinary big cat.”

“It’s not that I underestimated the Siberian Tiger, but Grizzly Sandru was too strong.”

“Twenty-three consecutive victories, which one wasn’t fought claw by claw?”

“Just looking at the 0.12 to 7 odds already tells the whole story.”

“There are no weaklings in the Beast Arena.”

“You’ve seen so many upsets, haven’t you learned your lesson?”

“From what you’re saying, you must have bet on Sandru, and you deserve to lose.”

“How many times have I told you, this thing is an abyss that devours people, you can’t touch it!”

“Just for fun, just for fun.”

...Perhaps knowing these beasts couldn't understand human speech, or perhaps believing these beasts could never leave here alive, these security guards spoke very loudly, allowing Lin Tianwei, who was nearby, to hear everything clearly.

However, the information they knew was limited, and the information they could provide to Lin Tianwei was also very restricted.

He had wasted his effort throwing Sandru against the wall.

Yawning widely, Lin Tianwei, full and satisfied, decided to take a nap.

Although tigers are nocturnal creatures, his human soul made him dislike such a completely dark environment.

One day.

Two days.

Three days!

Lin Tianwei waited for a full three days before he got his chance to appear again.

During this period, the Beast Arena's gates opened very regularly, basically twice a day.

However, the beasts that entered the Arena were not Lin Tianwei.

Some of these beasts sent out were able to return, while others became food for their enemies.

They were completely devoured by this terrifying Arena, which resembled a meat grinder.

Even more terrifying was that such high-frequency battles did not deplete the Beast Arena's stock.

Instead, failed experimental beasts were constantly being sent in.

The horror of the Ismail Institute was evident.

But these were not things Lin Tianwei was concerned about at the moment.

He only knew that he was about to acquire a new Talent.

After countless experiments, Lin Tianwei had also summarized a pattern.

The stronger the target killed, the higher the probability of extracting a Talent, and the stronger the Talent would be.

These failed experimental beasts might be worthless to the Research Institute.

But to Lin Tianwei, they were the best nourishment.

Beast Arena?

This was merely a base that could infinitely provide Lin Tianwei with powerful Talents.

Upon re-entering the light, Lin Tianwei immediately glanced at the scoreboard in the center of the Arena.

Sure enough, the number below his name had changed to “1.”

Lin Tianwei estimated that this meant he had killed one target, or it represented one consecutive victory.

Shifting his gaze, Lin Tianwei found next to his name, written clearly:

Bat King Hellas, 48.

48?

This number was more than double Sandru’s “23.”

This alone showed how terrifyingly strong the Bat King named Hellas was.

He withdrew his gaze and looked forward.

Lin Tianwei did not find his target on the ground.

He looked up slightly and found a giant bat flying in the air.

Perhaps having been confined in a cage for too long, Hellas appeared exceptionally excited.

It happily flew around in the air.

It didn't even attack Lin Tianwei immediately.

Of course, there was also a possibility that Hellas simply didn't take Lin Tianwei seriously.

As a creature capable of flight, Hellas, fighting in such a large venue, was essentially invincible as long as it didn't court death!

It was a pity that this Arena also had defenses in the sky.

A terrifying giant net covered the entire Arena.

The powerful electric currents that could be emitted at any time prevented Hellas from daring to approach.

Regardless, Lin Tianwei had welcomed his second opponent in the Beast Arena.

A terrifying flying opponent!
