61: black flesh

Although Professor Arnos was exhausted, he dared not relax in the slightest.

He stared intently at the black flesh before him.

The fusion of Black Fiend and the Gamma Gene was nearing its end.

Any accident could lead to total failure.

Professor Arnos, who had focused all his energy on Black Fiend, had no idea that Lin Tianwei had quietly become the king of the Beast Arena in this short period of time.

Finally, under Professor Arnos's gaze, the black flesh began to change.

As if guided by something, it started to swell violently.

It writhed grotesquely, as if some creature was about to break free from a terrible restraint and emerge from within.

Professor Arnos's tired expression also turned to excitement.

He was about to witness a miracle!

However, miracles are not so easily born.

The wildly writhing black flesh suddenly seemed to hit a bottleneck and began to self-destruct.

From the outside in, it gradually melted, turning into a puddle of lifeless blood.

Although the collapse was slow, it could not be stopped.

"No, I can't possibly fail!"

Professor Arnos cried out in despair.

He had to do something to stop Black Fiend's genetic collapse.

Thinking of this, he looked at his laboratory.

There were a large number of mutated beast blood samples there.

He was now desperate, trying anything.

He hoped that perhaps some gene among them could save the collapsing Black Fiend.

As the cultivation chamber opened, test tubes of mutated beast blood of different colors were poured into the chamber.

The black flesh possessed a very strong invasive instinct.

Facing the fresh blood delivered to it, it began to devour rapidly.

However, the fresh blood of these mutated beasts not only failed to stop the genetic collapse of the black flesh, but actually accelerated its collapse.

More genes would only make the black flesh's genes even more unstable!

Despair.

Professor Arnos's eyes were filled with despair.

His masterpiece was ultimately going to be destroyed, with no possibility of salvation.

Just as Professor Arnos was in despair, things took a turn.

He didn't know what kind of mutated beast's blood it was.

After being absorbed by the black flesh, it actually managed to stop its genetic collapse.

Not only that, as the mutated beast's blood was completely absorbed by the black flesh, it became quiet again, emitting a regular rhythm.

It was as if some terrifying creature was about to be born from it.

Professor Arnos wiped the sweat from his forehead.

It's good that it's stable.

If it's stable, there's still hope.

Only then did he have time to deal with the accumulated matters.

He checked his emails, and the most conspicuous one was about Lin Tianwei.

Adolph: Hello, Professor Arnos.

The Tiger King you sent to the Beast Arena is indeed formidable.

He actually cleared all the challenges and qualified to become an S-class research subject.

We are now requesting your instructions on how we should handle him.

Looking at the email, Professor Arnos frowned.

Tiger King?

The Tiger King I sent?

If he was referring to that Siberian Tiger, shouldn't he have died long ago?

Although Adolph was the owner of the Beast Arena, he was still slightly inferior to Professor Arnos.

So he could only wait for Professor Arnos's reply before dealing with Lin Tianwei.

Professor Arnos urgently called up relevant videos of the Tiger King and quickly browsed through them.

This browsing lasted for a full five hours.

The screen finally froze on the image of Lin Tianwei completely devouring the Electric Lizard.

Professor Arnos was very surprised, his eyes filled with shock.

He never expected that Lin Tianwei would be able to turn the tide.

He even swept through, eliminating the top three mutated beasts in the entire Beast Arena rankings.

Professor Arnos knew those mutated beasts.

Each one was an incredibly terrifying existence.

If it weren't for the fact that they were all products of 'raising gu' (a method of selective breeding through combat) and had absorbed a large number of mutated genes, like a program full of bugs that barely ran, making them impossible to clone and too difficult to extract target genes from, each of them could have become a key research subject for the Research Institute.

They would never have been left unattended in the Beast Arena.

In a sense, the mutated beasts in the Beast Arena were all failed experiments.

Even if the 'raising gu' was successful, their research value was not great.

They were far less valuable than the 'regular army' like Black Fiend, which was born through genetic modification.

This was also why they were treated differently.

Just like Lin Tianwei.

Unable to produce any results in research, he was like a waste in the eyes of the researchers.

After all, he was a powerful mutated beast born from countless battles.

Professor Arnos hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to have Adolph send Lin Tianwei over.

This Siberian Tiger must be hiding a huge secret.

He needed to study him thoroughly.

If he could decipher it, he might be a valuable resource no less important than Black Fiend.

Thinking of this, Professor Arnos edited an email and replied to Adolph.

Under Professor Arnos's command, Lin Tianwei once again arrived at Professor Arnos's laboratory.

However, this time, the iron cage holding Lin Tianwei had been reinforced and thickened.

The terrifying electric current on it had also been increased by several levels.

Looking at the gray Siberian Tiger, which had clearly mutated, Professor Arnos did not hesitate and began to research Lin Tianwei by manipulating a robotic arm.

First, blood extraction!

With his blood bank drained by the black blood, he urgently needed some fresh blood for research.

The sharp needle gleamed coldly as it plunged towards Lin Tianwei's arm.

Unfortunately, to Professor Arnos's surprise, the seemingly sharp needle could not pierce Lin Tianwei's tiger skin.

Even after several attempts, the tiger skin remained intact.

Instead, the needle buckled under the pressure and bent.

The defensive power provided by the Flesh Armor was terrifying!

Professor Arnos, however, was not flustered at all; he had plenty of ways to break through Lin Tianwei's defenses.

This time, before inserting the needle, he first used a laser beam to cut a large wound on Lin Tianwei's body.

Smelling the burnt odor in the air, Professor Arnos did not hesitate to insert another needle.

This time, the needle finally succeeded in drawing a large amount of blood from Lin Tianwei.

Not only that, a sharp scalpel also cut a small piece of tiger meat from Lin Tianwei's body.

After collecting the research materials, Professor Arnos no longer paid attention to Lin Tianwei.

He turned his gaze to the experimental platform.

Perhaps he had a chance to decipher the reason for this mutated Siberian Tiger's strength.

And then use it to create more terrifying mutated giant beasts.

Or to create genetically modified warriors strong enough.

However, Professor Arnos, immersed in his research, did not know that a pair of invisible eyes had already fixed on him.

If it weren't for Lin Tianwei also wanting to know his current physical condition, Professor Arnos would never have had the chance to obtain any of Lin Tianwei's flesh or blood.
