8: familiarity with power

Try it and die.

A long-planned attack from Lin Tianwei awaited this eagle.

He knew this eagle would never give up such a delicious bait and would sooner or later come to take advantage.

His body had already been secretly building up strength, all for the purpose of launching a fatal blow against the opponent.

Even though this eagle knew to launch a sneak attack while Lin Tianwei was fishing, it still could not escape this meticulously woven net.

Bang.

A dull sound of heavy impact came from Lin Tianwei's tiger claws.

This poised strike accurately hit the eagle.

It sent it flying away at a faster speed than it had arrived, crashing heavily onto the ground.

Its eyes were filled with disbelief, and the eagle only managed to flap its wings one last time before completely closing its eyes.

The power concentrated in Lin Tianwei's tiger claws was something a single eagle could not withstand.

Its fragile bones were instantly crushed along with its internal organs.

Looking down at his tiger claws, Lin Tianwei was actually somewhat surprised by his own attack.

With a kick of his hind legs just now, he unleashed a power far greater than before.

It was under the influence of this power that Lin Tianwei, who had originally only intended to teach the eagle a lesson, directly achieved a one-hit kill.

He even unleashed enough power to flatten the eagle into a meat paste.

It was hard to imagine that this was a Talent that could burst forth from a Hare.

A flash of realization instantly crossed Lin Tianwei's mind.

Perhaps he should increase the diversity of his hunted species instead of always sticking to one type of creature.

Thinking of this, Lin Tianwei looked at the ground, hoping to find traces of some powerful insects.

Unfortunately, he found nothing, which was quite unscientific.

Finally, he turned his gaze back to the eagle's body.

Compared to the Silver Fish, its hairy body was clearly not Lin Tianwei's preferred prey.

Although he was very disgusted, Lin Tianwei could only grit his teeth and go for it in order to extract its Talent.

His tiger claws began to exert force, roughly pulling out most of the eagle's feathers, instantly turning the fully feathered eagle into a white cut chicken.

Although some feathers remained, Lin Tianwei, in his tiger form, was not particular.

He opened his large mouth and began to eat.

Although eagles are much larger than poultry, they still could not escape Lin Tianwei's gaping maw.

He didn't even need to dismember it; with the help of his sharp teeth, he could swallow it whole.

Of course, this was also because the eagle was already shattered; otherwise, it would have been truly difficult to digest.

Unexpectedly, the eagle tasted quite good.

However, its body also had a strange smell.

A smell that also existed on the Silver Fish and Hare.

"Ding, congratulations to the host for killing a new target."

"Ding, Talent extraction successful. The host has obtained the Talent: Lightweight Bones (Unranked)."

"Ding, please confirm whether the host wants to use this Talent."

"Lightweight Bones (Unranked): An unranked Talent that significantly reduces the weight and strength of bones, thereby reducing body weight."

Looking at the newly acquired Talent, Lin Tianwei only felt a sharp pain in his teeth.

What kind of crappy Talent was this?

Birds choose to make their bones lighter to reduce weight and increase buoyancy, allowing them to soar in the sky.

But as the king of the land, a Siberian Tiger, he absolutely did not need this.

If his bones became lighter and more brittle, he would not be able to support his massive body.

Without hesitation, Lin Tianwei directly chose to refuse.

"Ding, the host has chosen to refuse to use this Talent."

"Ding, this Talent has been stored in the Talent space and can be chosen to be decomposed into Talent fragments."

Shaking his tiger head, Lin Tianwei returned to the riverbank and began to enjoy his Silver Fish feast.

This time, however, no inconsiderate fellow came to disturb him.

This made Lin Tianwei a little regretful, as he had missed out on some opportunities for extra meals.

"Ding, congratulations to the host for killing a new target."

"Ding, Talent extraction successful. The host has obtained the Talent: Scales (Unranked)."

"Ding, please confirm whether the host wants to use this Talent."

"Scales (Unranked): An unranked Talent that causes scales to grow on the body surface, slightly increasing defense."

This time, Lin Tianwei also chose to refuse.

It wasn't that this Talent was weak or useless.

But a tiger growing scales?

This clearly presented a big problem.

If discovered by humans, people would probably suspect Lin Tianwei was a tiger that grew up in the Cherry Blossom Country.

It is said that there is a magical water there that can strengthen the body.

After long-term consumption, it can even allow people to ascend and grow three heads and six arms.

After storing this useless Talent in the warehouse, Lin Tianwei, full and satisfied, began to run.

Not for hunting, but just to adapt to his body.

He had to adapt to the powerful new strength brought by the new Talent as quickly as possible.

With full power, Lin Tianwei felt like he had turned into a gust of wind.

As the running time lengthened, Lin Tianwei began to pant, accelerating heat dissipation in this way.

This was the downside of being a tiger.

Too much and too long fur greatly affected heat dissipation.

Under the scorching sun, even a little exercise would cause his whole body to heat up, greatly affecting his movement.

He stuck out his tongue, panting heavily, using this most primitive method to dissipate heat.

Unfortunately, he was not a dog after all.

The efficiency of heat dissipation through the tongue was simply too low.

Panting was an even more inefficient way of dissipating heat.

After a moment of hesitation, Lin Tianwei chose to run along the river.

Although this would cause him to encounter more predators.

But it also had irreplaceable benefits.

He could not only look for prey to hunt along the way.

He could also quickly lower his body temperature with the help of the cool river water.

Allowing him to run freely without worries.

Finally, under Lin Tianwei's frantic exercise, his control over his body became increasingly skilled.

He had basically gotten used to his newly acquired strength.

Stopping his steps, Lin Tianwei jumped directly into the river.

The river water could not only cool him down but also wash away the strong scent on his body.

This scent, to animals with sensitive noses, was no less than a million-watt light bulb.

After swimming for a moment, Lin Tianwei's eyes suddenly lit up.

His sensitive nose had detected a different scent nearby.

A rich grassy scent, even with a faint musk.

This definitely came from a hoofed animal, a type of deer, which tigers loved most.

Greedily licking his lips, Lin Tianwei began to swim back.

In his current state, rushing to hunt would only scare away the prey for nothing.

He quickly shook, shedding most of the water clinging to his body.

Preventing them from affecting his movement and revealing his whereabouts.

Only then did Lin Tianwei slowly approach the direction indicated by the scent.

Soon, he saw his target.

It was a Roe deer, a silly Roe deer!
