120: Uncle Tianqing

Ten minutes.

For ordinary people, perhaps it's just enough time to scroll through two short videos.

But for Lin Yu now, it was enough for him to go through all the public information about the Organization.

On the light screen in the lounge, introductions to various training grounds were scrolling.

The essence of this place was pretty much as he had expected.

A massive, modified independent space.

Through top-tier formations and technological means, this space was peeled away from the main world, then reinforced and environmentally simulated.

Its internal spatial strength, according to official statements, was completely consistent with the spatial strength of Blue Star itself.

Furthermore, it possessed a super-efficient energy absorption and matter recombination system, capable of repairing most physical damage in a very short time.

Sturdy enough.

Lin Yu was quite satisfied with this.

With his current strength, although he could easily level a tall building, he was still far from being able to tear space apart with his bare hands.

Presumably, this place should be able to withstand it.

Just as he was contemplating which skill to use as an “appetizer” later, a loud voice, tinged with surprise and uncertainty, sounded from behind him.

“Xiao Yu?”

“Lin Yu? It really is you, kid!”

“My goodness, if it weren’t for your Uncle’s extraordinary talent, I really wouldn’t have recognized you!”

Lin Yu’s movements paused.

He turned around.

He saw a slightly fat man, dressed in casual clothes, yet still unable to conceal the demeanor of someone long in a high position, walking towards him with a face full of pleasant surprise.

Beside the man was a young girl, about the same age as Lin Yao.

The girl wore simple sportswear, her hair tied in a high ponytail, her face delicate and pretty, but her demeanor was somewhat cool, merely observing Lin Yu with a hint of curiosity.

Uncle Wang.

This address surfaced in Lin Yu’s memory.

His father’s childhood friend, a director of Tianqing Group, Wang Han.

“Uncle Wang.” Lin Yu stood up and nodded politely.

“Hahahaha! It really is you!” Wang Han strode over and unceremoniously clapped Lin Yu’s shoulder with considerable force.

He scrutinized Lin Yu from head to toe, his shrewd eyes filled with genuine smiles and emotion.

“Good kid, haven’t seen you in a few years, and you’ve grown so sturdy! Much stronger than your dad, who’s as thin as a bamboo pole!”

He seemed much more enthusiastic than Lin Yu had expected.

“I even made a special trip to your house two days ago, but it was empty, no one was there. I didn’t expect to run into you here today!”

Lin Yu didn’t speak, just listened quietly.

He could feel the gaze of the girl beside him lingering on him, not with malice, but purely out of observation.

“Oh, by the way, let me introduce you.” Wang Han pulled the girl beside him closer.

“This is my daughter, Wang Qingxuan. Qingxuan, say hello, this is your Brother Lin Yu.”

Wang Qingxuan merely nodded slightly at Lin Yu, acknowledging him, but didn’t speak, her attitude indifferent.

Wang Han didn’t mind; he sighed, as if complaining, yet also as if expressing emotion.

“Your dad, that old stubborn man, called me two days ago, stammering, and I thought something big had happened.”

“Turns out he just wanted me to look after you a bit more. Such a small matter, he made it sound like a dying wish.”

“He even said he understood, that the jade token could only be used once, and once used, the favor would be gone… Bah! He understands nothing!”

Wang Han’s voice was loud, completely disregarding that it was a public place.

“I treat him as a brother for life, what does he treat me as? A one-time tool? Is our relationship so shallow?”

“You go back and tell him to keep that broken jade token for himself to fondle! Your business is my business! I treat you like my own nephew!”

He spoke with full vigor, a hint of genuine anger in his words.

Lin Yu’s Eye of Analysis quietly activated.

“Wang Han: Emotions (sincere, joyful, slightly resentful towards an old friend), no malice…”

The result was as expected.

Uncle Wang wasn’t putting on a show.

A strange warmth welled up in Lin Yu’s heart.

His father’s personality was just like that: stubborn, concerned with appearances, valuing favors more than anything.

He said he wanted Lin Yu to use that favor himself, but in reality, he had already swallowed his pride and made arrangements in advance.

“Dad just has that temper.” Lin Yu explained, uncharacteristically.

“I know!” Wang Han waved his hand, “I’ve known him for decades, how could I not know? I just can’t stand it!”

“When I see him later, you’ll see how I scold him!”

Wang Han cursed and swore, almost spitting on Lin Yu’s face.

But Lin Yu didn’t dodge.

This vulgar yet incredibly sincere enthusiasm made him feel a bit at a loss.

Ultimately, those five lost years had indeed changed him a lot.

Seeing Lin Yu not speak, Wang Han slapped him on the shoulder again.

“Your dad, he’s just too proud for his own good. If he hadn’t insisted on bearing everything himself back then, he would have had a share in Tianqing Group!”

“Alright, enough about him, he just gets me angry.”

Wang Han changed the subject, finally noticing their surroundings.

“What are you doing here, kid? It’s not cheap here. What, you want to make a final push before the College Entrance Examination?”

He suddenly remembered something and slapped his thigh.

“Oh right! I remember now, the thing with you and Lin Yao, it’s been all over the internet, and your dad mentioned it to me.”

Wang Han’s face showed none of the disdain or sympathy of outsiders; instead, he had a matter-of-fact expression.

“It’s no big deal.”

“Coincidentally, Qingxuan is also taking the College Entrance Examination this year. I was just about to find her the best tutors and use the best resources.”

He waved his hand grandly, pointing to his daughter Wang Qingxuan, who had been silently standing by, then pointed at Lin Yu.

“Alright, let’s not differentiate.”

“Whatever arrangements my daughter gets, you and Lin Yao will get the same arrangements!”

“All training resources, tutor fees, high-grade potions before the College Entrance Examination… your Uncle will cover it all!”

“Did you hear that? No refusing!”

He spoke these words decisively, with an undeniable air of generosity.

Lin Yu was completely stunned.

All covered?

Whatever arrangements his daughter gets, they, the siblings, would get the same?

This gesture… this was no longer simple care.

This was truly treating them like his own son and daughter!

As the only daughter of a Tianqing Group director, what kind of resources would she use? You’d know with just a thought that it would absolutely be a sky-high setup that ordinary people could never hope to achieve in a lifetime.

This favor was too heavy.

“Uncle Wang, this…”

Lin Yu was about to explain that he wasn’t short on money and didn’t need these things.

“Less nonsense!”

Wang Han glared, cutting him off directly.

“Don’t learn those bad habits from your dad! What favor debts, what embarrassment! I’m your Uncle, I call the shots on this small matter!”
