293: Authentic Big Glutton Pig

"Brother."

Lin Yao swallowed a large mouthful of shrimp dumpling with difficulty and spoke indistinctly.

"This is so yummy."

She held up the half-eaten crystal shrimp dumpling in her hand, which had thin skin and plenty of filling.

"Buy this again tomorrow, okay?"

"Can you finish it?" Lin Yu glanced at her.

"Of course!" Lin Yao thumped her chest loudly, but as a result, she almost shook the food out of her mouth and quickly covered it.

She finally caught her breath and straightened her back confidently.

"I've switched my class to 'Sacred Judgment Light' now! My digestion is super strong!"

Lin Yu was amused by her behavior.

Sacred Judgment Light, used to explain why she could eat so much?

If those fanatical believers heard this, their faith would probably collapse on the spot.

But then again, it was fine.

Isn't power meant to make oneself and one's family live more comfortably?

If the manifestation of power was allowing his sister to eat a few more buns, then it was worth it.

"Alright, I'll buy it again tomorrow." Lin Yu nodded.

"Yay!"

Lin Yao cheered, her combat power instantly rising a level as she launched a general offensive on a whole basket of crab roe buns.

The golden soup overflowed from the corners of her small mouth, only to be quickly slurped back in, as she refused to waste even a drop.

Lin Yu just watched.

Watching her stuff her small face until it was completely full.

He thought he had bought enough.

In the Black Market, he had raided every famous breakfast stall from one end to the other of the busiest commercial street outside the Insect Dwelling.

Hundreds of dishes piled high on the massive dining table that had been forced into the room.

Let alone one Lin Yao, even ten strong men would likely find it difficult to make a dent in this mountain of food.

But he had still underestimated her.

He underestimated the terrifying potential a top-tier Awakened could unleash when faced with gourmet food.

And he underestimated this girl's... greed.

As the food containers on the table emptied at a visible rate, Lin Yao's movements gradually slowed down.

Her delicate eyebrows furrowed into a knot, her small face filled with hesitation and distress.

"What's wrong?" Lin Yu asked, knowing full well.

"Brother..." Lin Yao put down the half-eaten sticky rice chicken in her hand, her face bitter, "There's too much delicious food. I feel like... one stomach isn't quite enough."

Lin Yu almost burst out laughing.

One stomach isn't enough?

What kind of talk is that?

"Then eat slowly; no one is competing with you." He picked up the soy milk and took a leisurely sip.

"No way!"

Lin Yao immediately retorted, her small head shaking like a rattle.

"These things won't taste good once they get cold!"

She solemnly defended the dignity of the food, looking as serious as if she were discussing some major academic issue.

Lin Yu was completely rendered speechless.

Fine, you're right.

"So what do you want to do?" He spread his hands.

Lin Yao's eyes darted around, and suddenly, as if she had made a decision, she slammed the table.

"I've got it!"

The next second, a layer of soft holy light emanated from her body.

The light wasn't dazzling; it was warm and pure, filled with a divine aura.

Lin Yu was stunned.

This girl, it's just a meal, is it necessary to use a skill?

The light dissipated.

And then, Lin Yu's brain short-circuited a bit.

Around the dining table, over a dozen Lin Yaos appeared out of thin air.

Each one looked exactly like the sister in front of him, but their temperaments and clothing were worlds apart.

One wore a solemn black and white robe, held a heavy codex, and had a meticulous expression like an impartial inquisitor.

One was clad in shining silver full-body armor, with a greatsword taller than a person on her back, looking heroic and filled with fighting spirit.

One wore gold-rimmed glasses and a scholar's robe, quietly leafing through an ancient scroll.

And another... wearing a snow-white chef's uniform and a tall chef's hat, even tossing a shiny ladle in her hand?

Holy crap?

Did this Little Girl get so anxious over breakfast?

Why is she using her ultimate to eat?

Lin Yu hadn't yet recovered from this surreal scene.

Those dozen "Lin Yaos" moved.

They as if received some silent command, and all turned their eyes toward the food-covered table.

Then, they joined the battlefield.

Judge Lin Yao put down her codex and picked up a crystal shrimp dumpling, eating it methodically, every movement as precise as if measured with a ruler.

Knight Lin Yao tossed aside her greatsword and grabbed a huge fried dough stick, finishing it in just a few bites with great gusto.

Scholar Lin Yao closed her scroll and picked up a bowl of soy milk, sipping it quietly and elegantly.

Chef Lin Yao... she didn't eat; instead, she brandished her ladle and began systematically distributing food to the other "Lin Yaos" like a cook in a field canteen.

The scene was quite spectacular for a moment.

And also very... harmonious.

The dining table, which had previously seemed somewhat empty, was instantly packed.

The previously seemingly indestructible mountain of food was collapsing at a terrifying speed under the joint siege of the dozen Lin Yaos.

Lin Yu, holding his bowl of soy milk, was completely dumbfounded.

You can do that?

Using class clones to eat together?

Does this count as... a different kind of cheating?

Holy crap, she eats so much; this girl is going to be hard to support in the future.

Watching a dozen identical sisters surrounding a table, eliminating food with uniform movements.

That huffing and puffing posture.

That whirlwind-like efficiency.

In Lin Yu's mind, some rather inappropriate images uncontrollably surfaced.

For example, back in the countryside of his hometown, during festivals, pouring swill into the pigpen's trough.

A group of plump white piglets would immediately huddle together, burying their heads and eating voraciously, competing happily for fear of missing a bite.

Pfft.

As soon as this thought popped up, Lin Yu quickly snuffed it out.

If this gluttonous girl knew he was comparing her to a pig, he probably wouldn't have a moment's peace today.

He forced himself to hold back his laughter and took a large gulp of soy milk, trying to use the cold liquid to hide his widening grin.

However, he still underestimated the combat power of this group of "Lin Yaos."

In less than ten minutes.

The table was already a mess.

Ninety-nine percent of the hundreds of food containers were empty.

Only some leftovers remained, along with the bowl of soy milk in front of Lin Yu, which he had protected well and hadn't finished yet.

The dozen Lin Yaos stopped their movements simultaneously.

Each of them let out a satisfied burp, the holy light on them flashed, and they turned back into specks of light, merging into Lin Yao's main body.

Lin Yao rubbed her flat belly, a happy smile appearing on her face.

"Done!"

She announced proudly.

Then, her gaze fell on the bowl of sweet soy milk in front of Lin Yu, the only survivor on the scene.

Lin Yu subconsciously moved the bowl closer to himself.

"Brother~"

Lin Yao drawled, calling out in a sickeningly sweet tone.

She leaned in, her large watery eyes blinking as she stared at him.

And the bowl in his hand.
