316: Chapter 316 Extraordinary Self-Healing

The expressions of Jonnamon and his companion were grim; no one had expected another Corruptor to be hidden here.

Moreover, compared to the Corruptor that had just been sealed, this one was clearly much stronger.

For Fowler in particular, the force of the Corruptor's attacks before him was far beyond what a Corrupted Wizard could compare to.

"I'll stall it, you go get the things back!"

Jonnamon glanced at Fowler, his expression incredibly solemn.

Even at a time like this, Jonnamon still hadn't given up on the high-level materials in the laboratory.

Those were things he had spent a vast amount of time collecting, and the current situation hadn't yet reached the point where he was willing to abandon them.

Fowler's breath hitched upon hearing this, but he didn't say much; he knew he couldn't persuade Jonnamon.

Since Vimos's disappearance, Jonnamon had become increasingly dictatorial, focused solely on how to protect his own interests.

Since Jonnamon was prepared to block the Corruptor, Fowler didn't linger and quickly retreated backward.

At that moment, a large number of Small Flesh Spiders rushed out from the gray mist, chasing after the direction Fowler had gone.

Seeing this, Jonnamon condensed a large number of golden blades before him, forming a blade tornado that swept toward the Small Flesh Spiders.

The moment the Small Flesh Spiders touched the blade storm, they were torn into a pile of pulverized remains.

But just then, a huge figure slowly stepped out of the gray mist, followed by a surge of blood-colored flesh tentacles attacking Jonnamon.

Facing the Corruptor before him, Jonnamon didn't dare to be careless, summoning a metal wall in front of him with a wave of his hand.

'Bang, bang, bang...'

With several loud crashes, bulges appeared one after another on the metal wall.

Under the terrifying strength of the Flesh Spider, the metal wall was shredded in just a few moments.

However, by this time, Jonnamon had already prepared his witchcraft.

A ten-meter-wide Formation Diagram appeared above the Flesh Spider, enveloping it, followed immediately by an inexplicable gravity bearing down on the creature.

Under this gravity, the Flesh Spider's movements became sluggish.

Suddenly, a giant metal sword condensed from the formation, splitting the Flesh Spider's body wide open like a sharp blade.

The ground shattered and dirt flew everywhere as the Flesh Spider was cleaved in two.

But it wasn't over yet.

Lumps appeared on the giant metal sword, followed by the growth of countless metal spikes, which instantly turned the Flesh Spider's body into a honeycomb.

Jonnamon stared warily at the Corruptor before him; the slowly wriggling flesh made him scent a trace of danger.

A large number of Small Flesh Spiders crawled out of the gray mist, swarming toward the main body of the Flesh Spider.

The Flesh Spider, which had been split in two, grew rapidly, changing from one into two Flesh Spiders, and even their auras remained virtually unchanged.

Seeing this, Jonnamon tapped his staff heavily on the ground, and the golden giant sword condensed by the formation exploded.

Countless metal fragments poured out, and the surrounding buildings were destroyed, unable to withstand the force.

The Flesh Spiders, being in such close proximity, naturally couldn't escape this fate, their massive bodies torn apart by the metal fragments.

But the Flesh Spider's greatest strength was its unparalleled recovery ability.

Although Jonnamon's witchcraft had great destructive power, it could not form a counter-effect against the Flesh Spider.

As the self-healing ability took effect, the ruptured flesh bodies began to heal rapidly, and then the two Flesh Spiders charged at Jonnamon in a pincer movement.

In just a few rounds, Jonnamon felt immense pressure.

Monstrous!

It was simply too monstrous!

He was completely unable to suppress the Corruptor's terrifying self-healing ability; it was on a totally different level compared to the Corruptor that had just been sealed.

No matter how he attacked, the Flesh Spider could recover within an extremely short period of time.

After a period of tangled fighting, Jonnamon keenly noticed a change in the environment.

The surrounding gray mist was thinning!

Clearly, the Flesh Spider's recovery ability was not without limits; this external gray mist was the source of power for the Flesh Spider's undying body.

But even knowing the Flesh Spider's weakness, he couldn't destroy it by his personal strength alone.

At the rate the gray mist was thinning, he would likely be worn to death or eroded by the Power of Corruption within the mist before he could resolve the Flesh Spider.

While he was considering a strategy, several Small Flesh Spiders had already reached Jonnamon's back.

Jonnamon noticed in time, and several golden light blades tore the Small Flesh Spiders to shreds with a wave of his hand.

Suddenly, Jonnamon's face changed.

As the soil beneath him vibrated, several huge flesh tentacles erupted from the ground, transforming into a massive whip that lashed out at Jonnamon.

Jonnamon hurriedly summoned a metal shield to block in front of him.

'Snap!'

The metal shield didn't even buy him a single second.

As the shield shattered, the thick blood-colored tentacle struck Jonnamon, knocking him directly into the nearby ruins.

'Cough, cough...'

In the ruins, Jonnamon clutched his chest and coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Watching the Flesh Spider charge over, Jonnamon no longer intended to continue fighting head-on.

A layer of golden light enveloped Jonnamon's body, and his body felt light as he flew upward.

But suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Jonnamon glimpsed a humanoid figure standing in the gray mist.

Just as Jonnamon thought it was Fowler, a violent fluctuation of Battle Qi erupted from behind him.

"I've got the stuff, let's go!"

Fowler's shout came from behind Jonnamon.

Jonnamon's expression froze at the sound, a faint sense of foreboding rising in his heart.

But now was clearly not the time to think about that.

Since Fowler was back, Jonnamon had no intention of lingering and soared into the sky toward the top of the gray mist.

Jonnamon was the first to break through the gray mist, followed closely by Fowler, who was entirely enveloped in Battle Qi.

Looking at the bright starry sky, Jonnamon felt a sense of having survived a disaster.

Without delay, Jonnamon immediately took a Formation Plate from his spatial ring.

As mana was injected into the Formation Plate, a massive Golden Barrier rose from the hollow.

At the same time, a large number of Golden Chains darted into the gray mist, firmly binding the two Flesh Spiders.

"A pity..."

Jonnamon shook his head helplessly.

Originally, this formation barrier had been prepared for someone else; he hadn't expected it to be used here.

Exchanging a glance with Fowler, the two of them flew upward in silence.

But just then, a large number of Ice Chains darted out from the gray mist, wrapping around the legs of the two men who had let down their guard.

The expressions of both men changed, and before they could react, a massive force surged from the chains, dragging them down into the gray mist by force.

"Since you're already here, why are you in such a hurry to leave?"

A faint male voice drifted out from the gray mist.

Jonnamon and Fowler looked down, and a face both familiar and strange was looming in the gray mist.

At the sight, their pupils constricted sharply.

"It's you! Bronk!"

Fowler couldn't help but cry out in shock.
