32: Chapter 32: The Trap Master! Su Han's Forbidden Zone of Death!
In the bushes, Zhou Mo watched as Su Han skillfully looted the equipment from the "fallen" Marine Corps members, unable to help but grin: "You kid, are you trying to strip them bare?"
Su Han removed the last magazine from the Tiger Whale's tactical vest.
Monkey struggled to prop himself up, watching Su Han carry three rifles on his back, looking like a mobile arsenal: "Holy crap, are you planning to open an arms shop?"
“Spoils of war.” Su Han smiled as he stuffed a flashbang into Monkey's pocket, “Keep it as a souvenir.”
“Water Ghost” lay on the ground and rolled his eyes: “Hey, hey, we're still 'dead', can you show some respect for the 'corpses'?”
Su Han squatted down and patted his shoulder: “Don't worry, once the competition is over, I'll return the equipment to your Cooking Squad.”
In the observation room, the Southeast Marine Corps Captain, Long Zhan, slapped his forehead and said speechlessly: “Now that kid is even going to strip their underwear away!”
Wang Yuanchao proudly crossed his legs: “See that? Our Falcon's soldiers are even professional when it comes to cleaning up the battlefield!”
“Get lost! Damn it! Even if Su Han took a crap right now, you'd think his squatting posture was professional!” the Southeast Marine Corps Captain cursed.
Wang Yuanchao: “Hehehe...”
After Su Han packed up the equipment, he quickly left the area.
Half an hour later.
The Chief Referee stared at Su Han's movements on the big screen and suddenly frowned: “What is he doing?”
He saw Su Han pull out a roll of thin steel wire and several small metal devices from his backpack, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.
“Booby Trap Components!” The Captain of Wild Wolf suddenly stood up, “This kid is going to set traps!”
...
In the dense forest, Su Han's footsteps suddenly stopped at the entrance of a narrow valley.
The terrain here was treacherous—steep rock walls on both sides, with the middle only wide enough for three people to pass side-by-side.
The vegetation inside the valley was dense and visibility was obstructed, making it an excellent spot for an ambush.
“This is the place.” Su Han unloaded all his gear and began setting up his “Forbidden Zone of Death.”
He first took out the thin steel wire captured from the Marine Corps and pulled several nearly invisible tripwires at a height of 20 centimeters from the ground.
Each tripwire was connected to a Jumping Mine; once triggered, the mine would catapult to a height of 1.5 meters before exploding—perfectly covering the upper body of a person.
“How is this kid's technique so proficient?” In the observation room, the Captain of Snow Leopard's eyes widened, “Looking at this knot-tying method, it's completely the technique of a top-tier special forces demolitionist!”
“Nonsense! He was first in the demolition subject!” one Captain said.
Only then did everyone remember that among the eight subjects Su Han took first place in, demolition was one of them!
Next, Su Han buried four Directional Mines in the bushes on both sides of the valley entrance.
He hid the detonation wires under fallen leaves, with the other end connected to a simple trigger device—
As long as someone stepped on a dry branch in a specific position, it would detonate.
“A genius conception!” Long Zhan couldn't help but praise, “He used details in the natural environment that are easily overlooked as triggers!”
Most chillingly, Su Han placed a modified smoke grenade behind each of the three rocks in the valley most likely to be chosen as cover.
He connected the smoke grenade fuses to the moss on the rock surfaces—as long as someone touched the rocks while trying to take cover, the smoke grenade would trigger, exposing their position.
“This is no longer just a trap,” Divine Sword Captain Liu Bo's face turned pale, “This is the art of death...”
Twenty minutes later, Su Han stood at the other end of the valley, looking over his work with satisfaction.
The entire passage had been transformed into a perfect killing field—six trip mines, four Directional Mines, three decoy traps, plus two sniper points.
He took down his Type 88 sniper rifle, checked the magazine, and then leaped onto a tall Korean pine.
The thick canopy perfectly hid his figure, and from here, he could overlook the entire valley.
“The hunt begins.” The corners of Su Han's mouth curled slightly as he aimed his muzzle toward the valley entrance.
...
In the observation room, a technician suddenly cried out: “Someone is approaching! It's Divine Sword's Long Bao and Wu Hai!”
On the big screen, two red dots were rapidly moving toward the valley where Su Han was located.
Judging by their route, they would step into the trap zone within ten minutes.
“It's over, it's over,” Wang Yuanchao shook his head insincerely, “Divine Sword's aces are about to trip up.”
Liu Bo suddenly stood up: “Long Bao! Stop! There's a—”
He suddenly realized he couldn't transmit information and could only slam the table hard.
The Marine Corps' Long Zhan said thoughtfully: “Su Han, this kid... the position he chose is exactly on the edge of the safe zone. Anyone wanting to enter the safe zone will have no choice but to pass through here...”
“Insidious! Too insidious!” the Captain of Wild Wolf gritted his teeth, “Is this even a Special Forces competition? This is clearly a hunter preying!”
...
In the dense forest, Long Bao suddenly raised his hand to signal Wu Hai to stop.
“What's wrong, Captain?” Wu Hai asked in a low voice.
Long Bao narrowed his eyes, carefully scrutinizing the valley ahead: “It's too quiet... there isn't even the sound of birds.”
As Divine Sword's tactical expert, Long Bao's intuition had always been sharp.
He slowly squatted down, picked up a stone from the ground, and threw it forcefully toward the valley entrance.
“Clatter.”
The sound of the stone hitting the ground was exceptionally clear in the silent valley, but other than that, there was nothing unusual.
“Maybe I'm overthinking it.” Long Bao shook his head, and just as he was about to step forward, his pupils suddenly constricted—
He noticed that the orientation of a few fallen leaves on the ground was somewhat unnatural.
“Wait!” He suddenly pulled Wu Hai back and pointed at the ground, “Look at those leaves; they look like they were intentionally placed.”
Wu Hai observed closely and indeed found subtle creases on the edges of several withered leaves, clearly man-made.
“There's a trap?” Wu Hai sucked in a breath of cold air.
Long Bao slowly backed away: “Take a detour. This place is too perfect for an ambush. If I were the opponent, I would definitely set a trap here—”
“Then what should we do, Captain?” Wu Hai asked in a low voice, “Force our way through?”
Long Bao stared at the silent valley and slowly shook his head: “No, detour. There's still time; we can't take the risk!”
“If it's Su Han, we'd be done for right here!”
The two cautiously retreated, ultimately choosing a much longer route to enter the safe zone.
In the distance, Su Han sighed slightly as he saw Long Bao and Wu Hai leave.
“As expected! The intuition of experts is always so accurate!”
At this distance, it wasn't that he couldn't fire.
But with Long Bao's sense of danger, even if he fired, he might not necessarily hit.
Doing so would instead expose his own position.
And it would expose the traps he had so meticulously laid out.
Furthermore, at this distance, if he missed, he wouldn't be able to catch up to Long Bao.
At the observation area, Divine Sword Captain Liu Bo breathed a huge sigh of relief when he saw the two leave.
