60: Chapter 60: Su Han Makes His Move!
The billiard hall was filled with swirling smoke, the smells of cheap cigarettes and alcohol mingling together. People crowded around a dozen pool tables, with shouts and the clacking of cues echoing one after another.
Su Han walked straight to the bar and ordered a bottle of mineral water. The bartender was a burly bald man with a hideous scar over his right eye.
"A new face," the bartender narrowed his eyes, sizing up Su Han. "What's a student doing here?"
"Looking for someone." Su Han pulled out his phone and brought up the photo sent by Old Zhang. "Do you know this guy?"
The bartender glanced at it, his expression changing slightly. "Don't know him. Finish your drink and get out; this isn't a place for you."
Su Han noticed the flicker in the bartender's eyes and knew he was lying.
Without a word, he put away his phone and scanned the room.
At a pool table in the corner, he found his target—the man from the photo was cuddling a heavily made-up woman, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, as he directed his underlings in their game.
Su Han walked over and tapped the man on the shoulder. "Brother, can we have a word?"
The man turned around, revealing a face full of coarse features. "Who the hell are you?"
"I have a few questions," Su Han said calmly. "About that set of Continental tires you changed a few days ago."
The man's expression froze instantly, and then he suddenly pushed the woman away. "Fuck! Where'd this cop come from? Brothers, get him!"
Seven or eight thugs immediately surrounded him. Some grabbed pool cues, while others pulled switchblades from their waists.
Su Han sighed. "Can't we just talk properly?"
The first one to rush forward was a blonde youth who threw a punch straight at Su Han's face. Su Han sidestepped, his right hand grabbing the opponent's wrist like lightning, and gave it a gentle twist—"
*Crack!*
"Ah!" The blonde youth screamed and fell to his knees, his wrist bent at a bizarre angle.
A second thug swung a pool cue at him, but Su Han raised his leg for a sidekick, striking the man squarely in the abdomen.
The man flew back three or four meters as if hit by a truck, knocking over a pool table.
The remaining thugs were intimidated by this display and hesitated to move forward.
The leader's face turned ashen, and he suddenly pulled a handgun from his lower back. "Damn it, you're asking for death!"
The moment the dark muzzle pointed at Su Han, the entire billiard hall fell into a dead silence.
Su Han's gaze suddenly turned cold.
He slowly raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, while simultaneously moving half a step forward noiselessly.
"Put the gun down, and we can talk properly," Su Han's voice was exceptionally calm.
"Talk my ass!" the man roared, his finger tightening on the trigger. "Kneel down!"
At that critical moment, Su Han moved.
His body flashed like a ghost, his right hand accurately seizing the opponent's gun-wielding wrist, his thumb pressing hard onto a specific acupoint.
The man felt his entire arm go numb, and the gun was already in Su Han's hand.
*Clack!*
Su Han ejected the magazine with one hand and pulled back the slide to confirm the chamber was empty. The entire sequence was fluid, taking less than two seconds.
"A knock-off Type 54, well-maintained." Su Han weighed the gun in his hand, his eyes sharp as knives. "Now, can we talk?"
The man turned pale as ash, his legs beginning to tremble. "Bi... Big Brother, let's talk this out..."
Su Han tossed the gun to a terrified underling nearby, grabbed the man by the collar, dragged him into the restroom, and locked the door behind them.
"Name."
"He... He Yong..."
"That set of Continental tires, who told you to change them?"
Liu Dayong's eyes flickered. "I... I used them for myself..."
Su Han sighed, suddenly grabbed Liu Dayong's right pinky finger, and gave it a light snap—
"Ah!" Liu Dayong let out a pig-like squeal, "It's broken! It's broken!"
"This is just the beginning." Su Han's voice was as cold as ice. "Next, I'll break your fingers one by one, then your toes. If you still won't talk..."
He leaned into Liu Dayong's ear and whispered, "I'll let you experience a fate worse than death."
Liu Dayong trembled all over, cold sweat soaking his clothes. "I'll talk! I'll talk! A guy named 'Brother Dao' told me to change them! He gave me five thousand yuan and told me not to ask questions!"
Su Han stared into He Yong's eyes, and after confirming he wasn't lying, he released his grip.
"What does Brother Dao look like?" Su Han asked coldly.
He Yong rubbed his aching finger and described him tremulously, "About 1.75 meters tall, buzz cut, a scar on his left cheek, likes to wear a black leather jacket..."
Su Han took out his phone. "Does the billiard hall have surveillance?"
"Yes... yes..." He Yong nodded like a woodpecker. "But it only saves for three days..."
"Take me to see it."
Five minutes later, Su Han came out of the surveillance room with several clear photos of Brother Dao saved on his phone.
He immediately sent these photos to Officer Liu, along with a brief text explanation.
Officer Liu replied quickly: [Received. Skynet tracking system initiated. Don't act rashly, wait for our word.]
Su Han put away his phone and glanced at He Yong, who was slumped on the floor. "If you dare say a single word about today..."
"I wouldn't dare!" He Yong shook his head frantically. "I didn't see anything! I don't know anything!"

Back in the car, Su Wu asked urgently, "How did it go?"
Su Han briefly explained the situation and then dialed Chen Zhiyuan's number. "Chairman Chen, I need to check Miss Chen's travel records and the people she has contacted over the past month."
There was a few seconds of silence on the other end before Chen Zhiyuan's raspy voice came through, "I've had my secretary organize it. Come directly to the company to pick it up."
Hanging up the phone, Su Wu started the car. "Third Grandpa, do you think this Brother Dao is the mastermind?"
"Unlikely." Su Han shook his head. "A small-time thug like that is at most an errand boy. The real kidnappers are professional and planned this meticulously; even the police can't find a lead for now."
