95: Chapter 95: Are these women really that fierce?

The dark shadow drew closer, cutting a V-shaped ripple through the murky water.

Lin Yu felt her heart almost leap out of her chest; she could clearly hear the creature's heavy breathing and the rustling of its scales against the water plants.

"Don't move..." Su Qingcheng's voice was as faint as a mosquito's buzz. "Crocodiles aren't sensitive to stationary objects..."

The female soldiers held their breath tightly, freezing in the muddy water like a collection of statues.

The crocodile slowly swam to Li Xue's side, its cold scales brushing against her arm soaked in the water. Li Xue bit her lip hard, tears silently falling.

Suddenly—

Splash!

More movement came from the water on the other side!

A second crocodile poked its head out from the reeds, its yellow vertical pupils glinting coldly under the moonlight.

This one was even larger, estimated to be over three meters long!

"Oh my god..." Zhang Meng's Adam's apple bobbed as cold sweat broke out on her forehead.

Even more terrifyingly, a third crocodile circled around from the rear. Surrounded on three sides, the female soldiers' retreat was completely blocked!

The first crocodile seemed to have sensed something and suddenly stopped, its nose almost touching Lin Yu's face.

Its warm, foul-smelling breath blew onto her face. Lin Yu's stomach cramped, and she nearly threw up.

Snap—

The crocodile suddenly opened its bloody maw, its forest-white teeth glinting coldly under the moonlight!

"Run!!!"

With their lives at stake, they could only ignore the regulations for now.

With a fierce shout from Su Qingcheng, the female soldiers instantly sprang up from the muddy water, kicking up a large spray.

Enraged by the sudden movement, the crocodile swung its thick tail violently, striking directly at the nearest person, Li Xue!

"Watch out!" Lin Yu lunged over and pushed Li Xue away, but her own shoulder was grazed by the tail, sending a searing pain through her.

"Form up! Back to back!" Zhang Meng drew her military dagger and shouted sharply.

The female soldiers quickly gathered, forming a circular defensive formation.

The three crocodiles circled around, ready to attack at any moment.

The first crocodile was the first to strike, lunging at Su Qingcheng with its mouth wide open!

"Die!" Su Qingcheng dodged to the side and stabbed her dagger fiercely toward the crocodile's eye!

Puchi!

The dagger hit its mark precisely. The crocodile let out a roar of pain, twisting its body frantically. Blood mixed with muddy water splashed all over Su Qingcheng.

The second crocodile took the opportunity to sneak attack from behind, about to bite Su Qingcheng's calf—

Thump!

Zhang Meng delivered a flying kick to the crocodile's nose—the most sensitive part of a crocodile.

The crocodile recoiled in pain and retreated temporarily.

The third crocodile targeted the smallest one, Lin Yu, lunging at her with a Death Roll!

Lin Yu rolled on the spot. The crocodile's teeth just barely grazed her combat uniform, tearing a hole in it.

She took the chance to plunge her dagger deep into the crocodile's neck!

Roar—

The crocodile struggled frantically. Lin Yu held onto the dagger for dear life, being thrown into the air before slamming heavily back into the muddy water.

"Xiao Yu!" Li Xue rushed over to help but was blocked by the first, wounded crocodile.

At the critical moment, Su Qingcheng lunged from the side, mounting the crocodile's back and stabbing her dagger hard into the back of its head!

Puchi!

The dagger pierced through the skull. The crocodile convulsed violently a few times before finally going still.

On the other side, Zhang Meng and two other female soldiers were dealing with the largest crocodile.

"Make it open its mouth!" Zhang Meng yelled.

One female soldier risked using a branch to poke the crocodile's eye. Sure enough, the crocodile opened its mouth in a rage—

"Now!"

Zhang Meng lunged forward and shoved her entire dagger deep into the crocodile's upper palate!

Roar—

The crocodile snapped its jaws shut in pain, but that only drove the dagger deeper into its brain!

Blood gushed from the crocodile's mouth, and its massive body gradually stopped struggling.

Seeing its companions killed, the last crocodile actually turned to flee.

"Don't let it get away!" Lin Yu, covered in mud, grabbed a thick branch and chased after it, smashing it hard against the crocodile's head.

The other female soldiers swarmed forward, using daggers, stones, and branches until they finally finished off the last crocodile.

On a nearby high ground, the members of the War Eagle Squad were observing everything through night-vision goggles.

"Holy crap..." Monkey swallowed hard. "These women are too fierce..."

Big Bear wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. "Those were three adult crocodiles..."

Zhou Mo turned to Su Han. "Did you know this would happen?"

The corner of Su Han's mouth curled up slightly. "I had someone release the crocodiles, but I didn't expect them to kill them all."

"Weren't you afraid of an accident?" Zhou Mo frowned.

"Don't worry," Su Han pointed to a fully armed Rescue Team not far away. "They were all prepared."

He put down the night-vision goggles, a hint of admiration flashing in his eyes. "But it seems they won't be needed."

————

In the swamp, the female soldiers stood panting beside the crocodile carcasses, covered in blood and mud.

"We... we killed the crocodiles..." Li Xue looked at her hands in disbelief.

"We broke the rules..." one female soldier suddenly realized. "The Chief Instructor said we weren't allowed to move no matter what happened..."

The female soldiers looked at each other, their previous excitement instantly turning into apprehension.

"Who cares!" Zhang Meng wiped the blood and water from her face. "We couldn't just wait to be eaten by crocodiles, could we?"

"Exactly!" Lin Yu kicked a crocodile carcass. "This was self-defense!"

Su Qingcheng, however, frowned. "Wait... the appearance of these crocodiles is too suspicious..."

She knelt to examine a crocodile's mouth and suddenly found something unusual. "Their mouths were once tied! These are farm-raised crocodiles!"

The female soldiers immediately erupted:

"What?"

"On purpose?"

"That bastard Su Han!"

Just as they were cursing, several flashlight beams shone from a distance.

"Yo, quite lively here, isn't it?"

Su Han walked over with the War Eagle Squad, a punchable smirk on his face.

The female soldiers immediately stood at attention, but the fury in their eyes was almost palpable.

"Reporting to the Chief Instructor!" Su Qingcheng said through gritted teeth. "We were attacked by crocodiles and were forced to fight back!"

Su Han nodded. "I saw. You did well."

He walked to a crocodile carcass and kicked it. "Do you know why I released the crocodiles?"

The female soldiers remained silent.

"Because on a real battlefield," Su Han's voice suddenly turned serious, "the enemy is a hundred times more cunning and a thousand times more dangerous than a crocodile!"

He looked around at every female soldier. "Tonight, you proved that you have the courage and ability to survive in a desperate situation. That's good."

"But—"

Su Han's tone shifted.

His voice was exceptionally clear in the silent swamp. "Your infiltration training is still a failure."
