120: Chapter 120: Throw him into the zombie cage, scare him until he wets himself, then pull him out.
The backyard of "Elysium Manor" was not a garden filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers.
In that restricted area, surrounded by high-voltage electric fences and thick concrete walls, the air was permeated year-round with a nauseating, fishy-sweet stench of fermenting raw meat.
"Let go of me! You bunch of lackeys! I am the eldest young master of the Chen family!"
"Chen Yuan! If you dare touch a single hair on my head, my mother will have every assassin in Jinghai hunt you down to the ends of the earth!"
Chen Yu was like a fat pig waiting to be slaughtered, his four limbs bound, held up by two Tyrants, one on each side. His feet dragged along the rough concrete floor, leaving two long marks. His expensive, modified Tang suit had been pulled askew, and the decorative walnuts he cherished like treasures had long since rolled off to who knows where.
He was still cursing.
Although his voice was trembling, that ingrained, baffling confidence in the "superiority of the legitimate line" made him still believe he held a get-out-of-jail-free card in his hand.
That was until the heavy hydraulic iron door, painted with yellow warning stripes, slowly rose.
"Roarβ"
A low, hoarse roar, as if someone had shards of bone stuck in their throat, emanated from the darkness behind the door.
Chen Yu's cursing came to an abrupt halt.
It was as if an invisible hand had suddenly grabbed him by the throat.
He widened his eyes in terror, staring at the deep shadows behind the door. There, several pairs of scarlet eyes were lighting up. As the iron door opened, a visible wave of white, freezing air mixed with a foul stench rushed toward him.
"What... what is this place?"
Chen Yu's teeth chattered; the arrogant aura he had possessed in the office just moments ago vanished instantly.
Chen Yuan followed slowly behind, still holding his cigar.
He did not answer Chen Yu's question but instead walked over to the console beside the iron door and patted the thick bulletproof glass.
"Don't be afraid, cousin."
Chen Yuan exhaled a puff of smoke, gazing through the glass at the restless figures inside, his eyes as gentle as if he were looking at his own children.
"This is my 'pet shop'."
"Recently, Dr. Zola modified the genes of the Zombie Dogs, adding a bit of wolf-like wildness to them. Unfortunately, I've been feeding them raw beef these past few days, and these little guys seem to have become a bit picky."
He turned his head to look at Chen Yu, a cruel arc forming at the corners of his mouth:
"I think they might want to taste... the flavor of 'nobility'."
As soon as he finished speaking.
Chen Yuan waved his hand at the two Tyrants.
"Throw him in."
"No! Don't! Chen Yuan, you lunatic! I'm your brother!"
Chen Yu let out a shrill scream, his hands gripping the door frame so tightly that his fingernails turned back, dripping with blood.
But in front of the Tyrants, he was like an ant trying to shake a giant tree.
"Ripβ"
A crisp sound of fabric tearing.
Chen Yu was swung around and thrown into the cage like a broken sandbag. He traced a parabola in the air before crashing heavily onto the concrete floor, which was covered in bone fragments and slime.
"Bang!"
The iron door slammed shut behind him.
The sound of the lock clicking into place was like a heavy hammer, shattering Chen Yu's final psychological defense.
"Let me out! Quickly, let me out!"
Chen Yu scrambled to the glass, frantically pounding on the transparent wall, his face smeared with tears and snot. "Brother! Dear brother! I was wrong! I was really wrong! Please, I beg you, let me out!"
Chen Yuan stood outside the glass and made a "shh" gesture at him.
Then he pointed behind Chen Yu.
Chen Yu's entire body stiffened.
He felt a damp, hot breath puffing against the back of his neck, carrying a pungent, putrid stench.
He turned his head mechanically, inch by inch.
What came into view was a terrifying face that had never even appeared in his nightmares.
It was a massive canine creature.
But this was definitely not a dog. The skin on its body had completely sloughed off, revealing the dark red, violently writhing muscle fibers beneath. Half of its head seemed to have been sliced off by something, exposing a pale white skull and a brain that was still pulsing.
In that gaping maw, which split all the way to its ears, were rows of interlacing fangs, with yellowish-green drool dripping down through the gaps in its teeth.
"Roar..."
The Zombie Dog emitted a low, threatening sound from its throat.
It didn't pounce immediately but lowered its body, its front claws scraping against the ground with a harsh sound, as if savoring the prey's despair before death.
Immediately after.
A second, a third...
A total of five Zombie Dogs emerged from the shadows, surrounding Chen Yu completely.
"Ah... ah..."
Chen Yu opened his mouth wide but could not make a sound. Extreme fear caused his vocal cords to spasm, and he could only emit these meaningless syllables.
With his back against the glass, his body slid down inch by inch until he collapsed onto the floor.
The largest Zombie Dog slowly crept closer.
Its lidless eyeballs stared fixedly at Chen Yu, and its nose sniffed at his crotch.
"Drip."
A drop of viscous, warm saliva slid down those long fangs and landed precisely on Chen Yu's expensive, custom-made trousers.
The sensation in that instant was as if strong acid were corroding his skin.
"Waβ!!!"
Chen Yu finally screamed.
It was a shriek that had completely lost all reason, returning to pure biological instinct.
Immediately after.
A pungent, urine-like stench spread through the air.
Chen Yu's crotch was instantly soaked, yellow liquid flowing down his pant leg onto the floor, mixing with the filthy slime.
He had wet himself.
He had truly been scared into wetting himself.
"Don't eat me... don't eat me... I don't taste good..."
Chen Yu curled into a ball, clutching his head with both hands, burying his face in his knees, his whole body shaking like a sieve. "Mom... save me... I want to go home..."
Outside the glass wall.
Victor watched this scene, unable to help but cover his nose, his face full of disgust.
"Boss, this is too pathetic. We've barely started. That Mexican drug lord last time at least had the guts to grab a gun and resist a little."
"This is what they call a 'scion of a noble family'."
Chen Yuan sneered, the disdain in his eyes deepening. "Once you strip away that skin provided by their family, they are not even as good as the stray dogs on the street."
He glanced at the Zombie Dogs in the cage, which had already opened their maws, ready to enjoy their "meal."
Although he really wanted to just watch Chen Yu get torn to pieces, it wouldn't do for now.
A living Chen Yu was more useful than a dead one.
"Enough."
Chen Yuan pressed the intercom button on the wall, his voice transmitting through the loudspeaker into the cage. "Stop."
The Zombie Dogs, which had been ready to pounce, immediately acted as if they had heard an irresistible decree the moment they heard that voice.
They whimpered and abruptly halted their movements, obediently lying on the ground, wagging their tails that consisted of nothing but bone.
"Fish him out."
Chen Yuan instructed the Tyrants behind him.
The iron door opened again.
The two Tyrants walked in and, like dragging a dead dog, pulled out Chen Yu, who had completely collapsed and was covered in urine and saliva.
Chen Yu's eyes were vacant, his mouth still muttering "don't eat me" incessantly; he had clearly been scared out of his mind.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk."
Chen Yuan walked up, covered his nose, and kicked Chen Yu's face with the tip of his shoe in disgust.
"Wake up, young master."
"Your trial pass has expired."
Chen Yuan didn't use much force, but it was enough to bring Chen Yu back to his senses.
He jolted violently. Seeing Chen Yuan in front of him, he acted as if he had seen his own father and lunged forward, trying to hug Chen Yuan's thigh.
"Brother! Brother! I was wrong! I was really wrong!"
Chen Yuan kicked him away.
"Don't touch me, you're filthy."
He took a wet towel from Victor, leisurely wiped the tip of his shoe, and then took out his phone.
He opened the camera.
He aimed it at the "Number One Young Master of Jinghai" on the ground, who was in a disheveled state, his face covered in tears and filth.
"Come now, cousin."
Chen Yuan squatted down, shoved the camera into Chen Yu's face, and revealed a demonic smile.
"Stop crying, how unsightly."
"Look, I saved you from the dog's mouth; shouldn't you thank me?"
Chen Yuan reached out and patted Chen Yu's cheek, as if he were teasing a stray dog.
"Smile."
"I'm going to record a video and send it to your mother and our dear uncle."
"Let them see just how 'fulfilling' the life of their pride-and-joy heir is abroad."
