98: Chapter 98 Now, I can destroy a tank with one punch.
Fourth underground level, comprehensive tactical training ground.
This was originally an enclosed space used to test the destructive power of the Tyrants, with half-meter-thick composite armored steel plates lining the walls. The air was filled with the acrid smell of machine oil and high-voltage electrical sparks.
"Hum—"
The heavy airtight door slid open.
Chen Yuan walked in. He wasn't wearing a protective suit, just a pair of loose tactical trousers, his bare upper body glowing with a warm, jade-like luster under the cold lights.
It looked slender.
But beneath that layer of skin surged enough violent energy to destroy a city.
"Boss, are you sure you want to conduct an 'unrestricted' test?"
Alice stood behind the bulletproof glass of the control room, her voice carrying a hint of hesitation for the first time. "According to the data monitoring just now, your body density has already exceeded three times that of a T-103 Mass-Produced Tyrant. If an accident occurs..."
"There will be no accidents."
Chen Yuan walked to the center of the arena and stretched his neck.
"Crack."
His joints popped.
"I also want to know what exactly I am now."
He looked up at the huge cage opposite him.
"Release that big guy. Don't use a normal T-103 Mass-Produced Tyrant; they're too fragile. Use that... T-800 prototype."
Alice took a deep breath and pressed the red release button.
"Roar!!!"
A deafening roar exploded instantly, the sound waves reverberating in the enclosed space, shaking the lights overhead.
The cage opened.
A T-800 Tyrant, nearly three meters tall and covered in black exoskeleton, charged out.
It was Zola's proudest work and the ceiling of current single-soldier combat power for the Umbrella Corporation. Its mutated giant claws were enough to tear open the front armor of a tank, and in its berserk state, it could even withstand rocket shells.
But in Chen Yuan's eyes.
It was too slow.
So slow it was like an old movie playing in slow motion.
The Tyrant saw Chen Yuan; that tiny human emitted an aura that made it extremely uneasy. Out of biological instinctual fear and the implanted kill command, it roared and charged.
The ground trembled.
"Thump! Thump! Thump!"
Every step it took left a deep pit in the concrete floor, bringing with it a foul stench as it instantly covered the thirty-meter distance.
That huge, metallic-glinting claw, accompanied by a shriek of tearing air, smashed fiercely toward the top of Chen Yuan's head.
"Too slow."
Chen Yuan didn't even move his feet.
He just tilted his head slightly.
"Whoosh—"
The claw grazed the tip of his nose, the resulting gust of wind blowing through his bangs, but it couldn't hurt him in the slightest.
In Chen Yuan's dynamic vision, the Tyrant's movements, originally as fast as thunder, were now so clear that every twitch of its muscle fibers was visible.
He even had time to observe the tiny gap in the armor under the Tyrant's armpit.
"Strength is acceptable, technique is zero."
Chen Yuan evaluated.
The Tyrant missed its strike and angrily swung its other fist, attempting to smash this slippery bug into pulp.
This time, Chen Yuan didn't dodge.
He wanted to try.
He wanted to test just how hard this body, reshaped by the perfect version of the T-Virus, really was.
He raised his right hand and clenched his fingers into a fist.
There was no fancy buildup, nor any fighting technique.
It was just a simple, straight punch thrown out.
Hard against hard.
"Boom!!!"
A large and a small fist collided in mid-air.
There was no expected sound of bones shattering.
Instead, there was a terrifying blast like a heavy cannon firing.
It was a sonic boom created by the air being instantly and extremely compressed.
A visible white wave of air spread wildly in all directions with the two of them as the center. The dust on the ground was instantly blown away, forming a vacuum ring.
Immediately after.
That three-meter-tall T-800 Tyrant was sent flying backward without suspense, just like a baseball being hit.
"Bang!"
It smashed heavily into the alloy wall fifty meters away.
The half-meter-thick armored steel plate instantly dented, presenting a huge human-shaped pit. The Tyrant was "hung" on the wall like a painting, its entire skeleton emitting a teeth-gritting sound of shattering.
Its right arm, which had collided with Chen Yuan, had completely disappeared.
It wasn't severed.
It had been directly shattered into blood mist and pulp by that terrifying force.
The entire training ground was deathly silent.
In the control room, Alice watched the crazily alarming values on the screen; it was the final wail of the force sensor before it went off the charts.
"Impact force... 50 tons?"
She muttered to herself, "This is no longer in the biological category; this is a hydraulic press."
Chen Yuan retracted his fist.
He lowered his head to look at the back of his hand.
Let alone a fracture, not even the skin was broken, and there wasn't even a red mark.
"Is this... a tenfold increase?"
Chen Yuan clenched his fist, feeling the power that seemed capable of crushing the void, a wild smile curling the corners of his mouth.
"No, that profiteer of a system is lying to me."
"How is this ten times? This is clearly an evolution from a carbon-based organism to a silicon-based organism!"
Now, if he encountered that kind of m1a2 main battle tank again, he wouldn't need any bio-mecha at all.
He would just need to jump on top and throw one punch.
He could flip the turret right off.
"Hoo..."
Chen Yuan exhaled a breath of stale air, his muscles gradually relaxing, the metallic luster slowly fading away, returning to the skin tone of a normal human.
He walked to the wall, looking at the Tyrant which was already on the verge of death, struggling to "pull" itself out of the wall.
"Sorry, I was a bit heavy-handed."
Chen Yuan reached out and grabbed the Tyrant's ankle, pulling it casually.
"Rip."
That multi-ton big guy was thrown onto the ground like trash.
"Send it to the maintenance department and have Zola replace its mechanical arm."
Chen Yuan took the towel Alice handed him and wiped the sweat off his body, "Although this thing is a bit fragile, it's still good enough to guard the house."
"Very well, Boss."
There was a hint of awe in Alice's eyes when she looked at Chen Yuan that had never been there before.
If her loyalty had previously been based on programming, now, it was a submission stemming from biological instinct.
The strong are respected.
This is a common trait of all living things.
Chen Yuan put on his shirt, and before he had even finished buttoning it, the door to the training ground was pushed open in a hurry.
"Boss! Boss, are you alright?"
Victor rushed in like a rolling ball of flesh, his face full of panic.
The loud noise just now had shaken the entire underground base; he thought the laboratory had exploded again, or that some monster had escaped.
"What could happen to me?"
Chen Yuan fastened his cufflinks and asked unhurriedly.
Victor stopped.
He glanced at the human-shaped pit embedded in the steel wall, then at the T-800 Tyrant on the ground that was missing an arm and twitching.
Finally, he shifted his gaze to Chen Yuan, who was standing in the center of the field without a single strand of hair out of place.
"Gulp."
Victor swallowed with difficulty. He was a smart man and didn't ask anything, just silently swallowing the words "Holy shit" back into his stomach.
"Boss is mighty."
He wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, quickly adjusted his expression, and put on an ambiguous and lewd smile.
"Um... someone is looking for you upstairs."
"Who?" Chen Yuan raised an eyebrow.
"Who else could it be?"
Victor pointed upwards, toward the direction of Elysium Manor, "Miss Jessica. She brought a few Hollywood 'sisters' over."
"She said... to thank you for your 'support' last time, she came specifically to give you a 'privately customized' gift."
"Privately customized?"
Chen Yuan's movements paused for a moment.
He had just experienced an intense physical strengthening, and every cell in his body was in a state of extreme excitement. That excess energy was like a volcano about to erupt, urgently needing an outlet.
Fight a Tyrant?
Too boring, one punch and it's done. It seems it's time to switch to a... softer, and more enduring form of exercise.
"Where are they?"
Chen Yuan asked, his voice carrying a hint of hoarseness ignited by hormones.
"They are all waiting in your master bedroom."
Victor chuckled, "That's the... oversized waterbed that was specially reinforced according to your requirements."
A devilish arc curled at the corner of Chen Yuan's mouth.
He tossed the towel to Victor and strode toward the elevator. His steps were light, carrying the pleasure of a predator about to enjoy a feast.
"Tell them, don't rush."
Chen Yuan's voice echoed in the corridor:
"I'll be there in a moment."
"I hope their stamina is as good as their acting."
"After all..."
He clenched his fist, feeling the explosive power flowing through his fingertips:
"The current me has a lot of pent-up heat."
