133: Chapter 133 Looting the Consortium's Vault and Stealing Several National Treasures

The moment the neon lights of Ginza went out, this behemoth known as the "City That Never Sleeps" finally exposed its vulnerable underbelly.

In the darkness, the sounds of sirens, screams, and car collisions wove together into a chaotic symphony. Under the cover of this chaos, a black motorcade glided silently into the underground parking lot of the Mitsubishi Zaibatsu building like a ghost.

"Boss, the Red Queen has already cut the backup power."

Alice's voice remained calm in the darkness. "The Mitsubishi building is now both blind and deaf."

"Very good."

Chen Yuan pushed open the car door and stepped onto the hard concrete floor.

"Then let's have ourselves a... zero-dollar shopping spree."

Fourth basement level, in front of the vault door.

The guards here had already been cleared out. That half-meter-thick alloy door, claimed to be able to withstand the impact of a nuclear explosion, was now tightly shut, like a giant maw mocking the intruders.

"Triple biometric authentication, plus a set of 64-bit dynamic passwords that change every minute."

Alice glanced at the access control system, data streams flickering in her eyes. "A normal hack would take thirty minutes."

"Thirty minutes? Too long."

Chen Yuan shook his head. The brass key he had snatched from Fujiwara Ichiro was actually just a tool to open the outer physical lock.

The real lock was the door itself.

"Let's brute-force it."

Chen Yuan took a step back and snapped his fingers.

Two of the most burly Tyrants stepped forward. They didn't use explosives; instead, they reached out with their giant hands, capable of crushing steel, and gripped the gap in the door directly.

"ROAR—!!!"

Accompanied by a low roar, the muscles on the Tyrants' arms instantly swelled, shredding their suit sleeves to pieces.

"SCREECH—CRUNCH—"

A teeth-grinding sound of twisting metal rang out.

That allegedly indestructible alloy door, under pure physical strength, actually began to deform and twist bit by bit, emitting a groan of being overwhelmed.

The hydraulic rods burst, and the gears snapped.

"BOOM!"

A loud crash.

The entire door was ripped down by force and slammed heavily onto the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Open Sesame."

Chen Yuan stepped over the twisted door frame and walked into what was claimed to be the safest vault in all of Japan.

The emergency lights turned on, and the dim red glow illuminated the scene before them.

The first thing that caught his eye was a wall.

A wall built of gold bricks.

Tons of gold emitted a charming yet vulgar luster under the red light; this was the hard currency reserve accumulated by the Mitsubishi Zaibatsu over the past century.

"Tsk, a bit tacky."

Chen Yuan casually picked up a gold brick, weighed it in his hand, and then tossed it to Victor behind him like a common brick.

"Take it all away. Although it's tacky, I don't mind."

Victor chuckled and directed the Tyrants to start acting as porters.

Chen Yuan continued walking further inside.

Passing through the gold section, there was a special collection room with constant temperature and humidity.

The furnishings here were completely different.

There was no gold or silver, only rows of exquisite bulletproof glass display cases.

Chen Yuan scanned them carelessly, then suddenly stopped in his tracks.

His gaze locked firmly onto the display case in the center.

Inside sat a bronze tripod.

The design was ancient and simple, with exquisite patterns, carrying the vicissitudes and weight of accumulated time. But on the inner wall of the tripod, several blurred small seal script characters were clearly engraved.

Looking to the side.

A translucent jade Buddha head, with the traces of violent cutting from a century ago still remaining at the fracture.

An unfurled fragment of the "A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains" scroll.

There were also several pieces of cloisonné porcelain, bearing the marks of the Qing Dynasty imperial family.

Chen Yuan's eyes instantly turned cold.

That coldness was even more biting than when he had been killing people just moments ago.

Of course, he recognized these items.

These were all things looted by those robbers from the Old Summer Palace and the Forbidden City during that catastrophe over a hundred years ago!

They should have been displayed in the glass cases of the Palace Museum, receiving the admiration of the people, yet now they were locked in this dark basement like trophies, becoming playthings for the Japanese consortium to flaunt its heritage.

"Heh."

Chen Yuan let out a low laugh.

"I originally only intended to steal some money and collect some interest."

He reached out, his fingers gently stroking the cold glass, murderous intent boiling in his eyes.

"Now it seems... I'll have to take back the principal and interest together."

"Alice."

"Yes, Boss."

"These items, leave nothing behind, take them all."

Chen Yuan's voice was resolute. "Tell Victor, even if we have to throw away that gold, he must transport these items back for me, completely undamaged."

"These are national treasures."

"They have been drifting outside for too long; it's time to go home."

"Understood." Alice nodded and directed a few of the more "gentle" Tyrants to come over and pack them up.

Chen Yuan walked to the deepest part of the vault.

There was only an independent safe there.

There was no need for a key; Chen Yuan had Alice cut the safe door open directly with a laser cutter.

Inside lay a black hard drive and a yellowed experimental notebook.

On the cover of the notebook was written [Project Amaterasu · Top Secret].

"Is this that data?"

Chen Yuan flipped through the notebook; it was filled with dense Japanese records detailing data on genetic modification and human experimentation, and there were even a few stolen photos of his mother when she was young.

"Found it."

He closed the notebook and tucked it and the hard drive into his coat.

This was the ironclad proof of the collusion between Zhao Ya and the Fujiwara Family, and also the last bit of value the Fujiwara Family held in this world.

"Boss, it's all cleared out."

Victor ran over, panting. "I even had people pry off the vault's door handle. This is truly a 'scorched earth' policy."

Chen Yuan looked around.

The once magnificent vault was now cleaner than a refugee camp that had just been looted.

Even the carpet on the floor had been rolled up and taken.

"Very good."

Chen Yuan pulled a can of red spray paint from his pocket.

He walked to the bare wall of the vault, flicked his wrist, and sprayed a line of large characters with fluid motion.

The bright red paint looked exceptionally glaring against the gray wall, the handwriting wild and cursive, exuding a lawless arrogance:

【Principal and interest, no credit allowed.】

Signature: 【Your Chinese Creditor】.

"Let's go."

Chen Yuan tossed the spray paint can aside and glanced at the watch on his wrist.

"The Fujiwara Family's reinforcements should be arriving soon."

He took a C4 time bomb from his coat, set a five-minute countdown, and then casually stuck it onto the vault's load-bearing pillar.

"Beep, beep, beep."

The red numbers began to count down.

"Leave them a bang."

Chen Yuan turned, his trench coat billowing, kicking up a cold breeze.

"Consider it a thank you for keeping my national treasures for so many years."

The group, carrying bags full of loot, swaggered out of the basement like a group of tourists who had just finished shopping at a supermarket.

Five minutes later.

Chen Yuan stood on the observation deck of the Tokyo Tower, several kilometers away.

He held a hot coffee he had bought from a roadside convenience store, his gaze fixed on the pitch-black Mitsubishi building in the distance.

"Boss, time is up."

Alice reminded him in a low voice behind him.

"BOOM—!!!"

A dull, massive roar, as if from the depths of the earth, instantly shattered the night sky of Tokyo.

From the base of the Mitsubishi Zaibatsu building, a scorching burst of fire erupted.

The entire building shuddered violently, then, like a giant whose spine had been ripped out, collapsed in a cloud of smoke and fire.

The ground collapsed into a massive crater.

That underground vault, once a symbol of wealth and power, along with the secrets of the Fujiwara Family, was buried under thousands of tons of rubble.

Sirens rang out across the entire city.

Countless police cars and fire trucks raced toward that direction.

Chen Yuan took a sip of coffee, feeling the bitterness spread across his tongue.

"How beautiful."

He watched the fire shooting into the sky, muttering to himself.

"These fireworks are even better looking than the ones at Disney."
