19: Chapter 19 Selling medicine in Mexico, how can you do it without some heavy firearms?
The night sky hung heavy over San Verde like a rag soaked in ink.
Inside the Pharmaceutical Factory warehouse, the lights were blazing, and the atmosphere was as lively as an underground rave party. Except, the thugs weren't holding beer or glow sticks, but heavy weaponry capable of plowing through the entire city.
"Click."
A rough, large hand used a crowbar to pry open the lid of a wooden crate with force.
As wood shavings flew, the heart-pumping scent of gun oil instantly filled the air. Victor leaned over to take a look, freezing in place as if struck by lightning, his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets.
"Good God... Boss, are you planning to attack the White House?"
Resting quietly in the crate were not ordinary AK47s, nor the common M4s.
They were four M134 Miniguns with a cold, metallic sheen, their six thick barrels bundled together like a sleeping steel hydra. Beside them, golden ammunition belts were piled up like a small mountain, every bullet shimmering with the light of death.
"Don't make such a fuss."
Chen Yuan sat on an ammunition crate nearby, a cigar between his fingers, his tone as casual as if he were discussing buying a few pounds of cabbage. "We are serious businessmen. With so many valuable raw materials stored in the Pharmaceutical Factory, how can we manage without some decent security doors?"
"Security doors?"
Victor looked at the "Vulcan cannons" with their 6,000 rounds per minute firing rate, his mouth twitching uncontrollably. "This thing? Forget security; it's enough to defend against dinosaurs! This is a big guy meant for armed helicopters. How can a single soldier use it? Before you even fire, the recoil would shatter your arms into powder!"
"A single soldier certainly can't use it."
Chen Yuan exhaled a ring of smoke and pointed to the two behemoths standing in the shadows. "But what if it's them?"
Tyrant No. 1 and Tyrant No. 2 walked over.
They extended those giant hands that didn't seem to belong to humans, grabbing the M134s, which weighed several dozen kilograms, as if they were picking up water pistols. Heavy ammunition boxes were strapped to their backs, and massive feed belts were wrapped around their arms. The visual impact, filled with the aesthetics of violence, left everyone present struggling to breathe.
"These are the 'handguns' tailored for them."
Chen Yuan smiled. "As for you all..."
He patted several other long, rectangular crates nearby.
"Open them up and take a look. This is the employee benefit I've prepared for you."
The fighting champion known as "Iron Head" carefully lifted the lid, and immediately let out a shrill, off-key scream.
Inside the crate were dozens of sets of exoskeleton armor arranged neatly. Although they were just simple hydraulic-assisted frames with bulletproof steel plates, looking somewhat rough and even carrying a heavy industrial punk style, to this bunch of rubes who had only ever seen bulletproof vests, this was practically Iron Man's armor.
"This is... an exoskeleton?"
Iron Head touched it with trembling hands. "Boss, isn't this stuff still in the US military laboratories?"
"This is the civilian version, originally designed for carrying heavy objects."
Chen Yuan spouted nonsense with a straight face. "But I made some slight improvements, adding bulletproof inserts and a fire control assistance system. Wearing this, you can run while carrying two hundred kilograms, and you can suppress the recoil of a heavy machine gun with one hand. Most importantly—"
He tapped the thick breastplate. "It can let you live a few more minutes in a hail of bullets."
The crowd erupted.
The new employees, who had been somewhat uneasy, now saw their fear vanish completely, replaced by a near-manic excitement.
For outlaws, guns are their courage, and equipment is their life.
With these big guys, let alone the Vulture Legion, even if the King of Heaven himself came, they would dare to spray a few rounds.
"Put them on! Everyone, put them on!"
Victor roared, grabbing a set for himself first and putting it on. He felt his entire being instantly tower, filled with a sense of power. "Long live the Boss! Long live Umbrella!"
Half an hour later.
The once dilapidated Pharmaceutical Factory had completely changed.
Mortar positions were set up behind the perimeter walls. In several hidden firing points, fully armed "exoskeleton soldiers" were lying behind cover, their dark gun barrels pointing at the road. At the high point of the office building, the two Tyrants stood like two gate guardians, the miniguns in their hands gleaming with a chilling light under the moonlight.
How could this still be considered a Pharmaceutical Factory? This was clearly a military fortress armed to the teeth.
Chen Yuan stood on the highest watchtower of the perimeter wall, the night wind blowing his clothes.
Viper stood beside him, looking at the chilling defensive fortifications below, her eyes filled with complex emotions.
"You are a madman."
She said in a low voice, "If the people from the Vulture Legion saw this, they would definitely regret taking this job."
"Regret?"
Chen Yuan chuckled and downed the red wine in his hand. "There is no regret medicine in the business world, only damage control. Unfortunately, they have already passed the best time for damage control."
He raised his wrist and looked at his patek philippe.
The timing was perfect.
On the pitch-black road in the distance, two blinding headlights suddenly lit up. Then came four, eight... countless beams of light pierced the darkness, accompanied by the roar of engines, like a winding dragon of fire speeding toward the Pharmaceutical Factory.
The ground began to vibrate slightly.
"They're here."
Chen Yuan narrowed his eyes as the system interface unfolded on his retina. Red hostile markers appeared densely on the radar.
Three hundred men, thirty modified pickup trucks, and even three light armored personnel carriers.
The Vulture Legion had truly gone all out.
"Boss, they have entered the one-kilometer range."
Alice's voice sounded in the earpiece. "Shall we initiate a long-range strike?"
"No rush."
Chen Yuan leaned against the railing, the corners of his mouth curling into a playful smile. "Since guests have come from afar, we must let them in for a cup of tea. Otherwise, it would seem like we are very impolite."
"Let them get closer before we attack. I want them to see hope, and then fall into despair."
On the road.
Vulture Legion leader Carl sat in the lead armored vehicle, holding a walkie-talkie, a grimace of certainty on his face.
"That woman Viper was right; this place is as quiet as a grave."
He looked at the pitch-black factory in the distance, where only a few dim streetlights were on, and not even a patrolling shadow could be seen.
"These idiots must still be dreaming their sweet dreams of getting rich."
Carl licked his dry lips and ordered into the walkie-talkie, "Everyone listen up! No tactics needed, no cover needed! Just charge in for me! Take the office building as fast as you can!"
"Whoever rushes in first gets a reward of twenty thousand dollars!"
"Charge!"
"Kill all these yellow-skinned monkeys!"
The convoy accelerated instantly, like a pack of starving wolves that had smelled blood, crazily pouncing toward the seemingly defenseless prey.
They had no idea that in that deathly silence of darkness, countless eyes were locked tightly onto their brows through infrared scopes.
And behind those dark gun barrels was a group of demons who had just been injected with the "Loyalty Vaccine," equipped with "Future Technology," and who were even more eager for blood than they were.
Distance: five hundred meters.
Three hundred meters.
One hundred meters.
Carl could even see the mottled rust on the Pharmaceutical Factory gate.
"Ram it open!"
He roared excitedly.
The armored vehicle roared, slamming fiercely into the large iron gate.
"Boom!"
The iron gate collapsed in response.
"Hahahaha! Pathetic!"
Carl laughed wildly as he rushed in, but in the next second, his laughter stuck in his throat.
Because under the glare of the headlights, what he saw was not panicked guards, nor workers fleeing in all directions.
It was the young Oriental man standing in the center of the open space, wearing a suit, hands in his pockets, with a smile on his face.
Behind him, two giant dark shadows slowly raised the six thick gun barrels in their hands.
"Welcome."
Chen Yuan's voice echoed through the loudspeaker, carrying a hellish chill:
"In your next life, remember not to barge into someone else's home."
"Fire."
