1: Portable Shop

Inside a bedroom that could be described as luxurious was a massive bed, and the various gold and silver ornaments in the room displayed the wealth of its owner.

Normally, someone living in such a room should be very happy and content, but at this moment, the atmosphere in the room was not particularly harmonious.

Standing by the massive bed was a slender, silver-haired girl dressed in a maid's uniform, her exquisite face filled with sorrow.

Her once bright eyes were now slightly dim and even somewhat red and swollen; it seemed she had been crying earlier.

And the only one who could make such a beautiful girl so sad was the golden-haired boy lying in the middle of the bed with his eyes tightly closed!

In this heavy atmosphere, after an unknown amount of time, the golden-haired boy on the bed suddenly opened his eyes with a look of confusion.

Seeing the golden-haired boy miraculously wake up, the silver-haired girl's worry immediately turned to joy:

"Master Arthur, you're finally awake! How do you feel? Are you alright?"

"I'm okay!"

"That's good! I need to inform the Count of this good news. Don't move, wait for me to come back!"

Watching the unfamiliar maid quickly depart, the golden-haired boy on the bed—our protagonist Arthur—suddenly breathed a sigh of relief.

He didn't understand; his name was clearly Xiao Qian, and he had been staying up all night helping someone create a game helper software similar to a Portable Shop.

As long as he finished this order, he would earn five thousand yuan, so he had been working hard until three in the morning to finally complete the helper software.

He didn't know if it was because he had worked through the night too often and his body couldn't take it, but along with the excitement of completion, his vision went black, and when he woke up, he had become Arthur.

Most importantly, having just woken up, he hadn't noticed his surroundings, but now looking closely, the maid from before plus the surrounding decor were clearly in a Western medieval style.

Could he have undergone Transmigration! Having read many novels, a flash of insight crossed Arthur's mind.

Along with this thought, Arthur suddenly felt his mind become crowded as a stream of entirely new memories began to flood into his brain.

A few minutes later, Arthur, who had been frowning deeply, suddenly became excited; after digesting the memories of this body, he discovered that he had come to a world of swords and magic.

Of course, simply being in such a fantasy world was not enough to make Arthur this excited.

Because no matter the world, there are people at the bottom; if one has no skill, coming to such a wonderful world would only mean being a slave or a servant, which would be meaningless.

But the identity of this body was not ordinary. Arthur's father was a Count, and although the Count had more than one son, his father was a Count of a generation with illustrious military achievements.

This meant the Count had vast tracts of land within his Counts Fief that could be used to ennoble his descendants, unlike those old-money nobles who had no land left to grant and could only let their descendants become honorary nobles without actual power.

So Arthur could basically be certain that he would lead a luxurious noble life in the future; how could this not make him excited!

One must know that this world possessed magic and Battle Qi, and the living standards of nobles compared to medieval Europe in his past life could be said to have risen sharply, being no different from modern times in many aspects, and even surpassing them in some.

Just thinking about it was exciting!

The excited Arthur began to re-examine the bedroom that now belonged to him; after scanning several times, Arthur keenly noticed that there seemed to be a red dot in his vision that wouldn't go away.

This made him somewhat confused, and he involuntarily tapped it with his finger.

With the touch of his finger, the red dot immediately expanded, turning into a form Arthur was somewhat familiar with—it was exactly the Portable Shop cheat software he had made for someone in his previous life.

This unexpected discovery immediately boosted Arthur's spirits, although he didn't know what use the cheat he had made in his past life would have now.

But such an unusual way of appearing must surely have some wondrous aspects he hadn't discovered yet!

Thinking of this, Arthur carefully explored the interface that appeared out of thin air, and soon the attentive Arthur found four small words in the bottom left corner of the interface: Instructions for Use.

Clicking it open, he saw it written:

"This shop has two major functions.

1. The user can replicate one item from reality into the shop every month, making the item a product of the shop, thereby allowing unlimited purchases using money; items can be anything, including humans.

Note: When purchasing living beings such as humans or Demonic Beasts, the appearance can be adjusted to avoid being discovered.

Also, after a living being is purchased, their strength will not change (they cannot Cultivate to increase their strength, but after certain conditions are met, new functions will be updated to increase the strength of the summoned characters).

Replicating an item only requires touching it.

Since the common currencies around the user are Copper Coins, Silver Coins, and Gold Coins, the currency of this shop is also Copper Coins, Silver Coins, and Gold Coins (new currencies may be updated later due to the environment).

2. Every month, the shop will randomly select one item from this world to replicate and list as a product."

The shop's instructions were not long, but they gave Arthur a huge shock!

To actually be able to replicate any item and purchase it—with just a little thought, one could see the immense potential of this shop.

For instance, Arthur's father, Count Abergh, whose Earth Knight strength was in some ways the stabilizing force of the territory; such a person could be purchased by Arthur with Gold Coins in the future.

Thinking further, one cannot talk about a fantasy world without mentioning Dragons, and even such terrifying Legendary creatures could be replicated and purchased by him.

As long as he had enough Gold Coins, he could even form an unprecedented Dragon Knight legion within his territory in the future; thinking of such a beautiful vision, Arthur trembled slightly with excitement.

After being in high spirits for a while, Arthur gradually calmed his inner excitement; with his rationality returning, he suddenly thought of an important question.

That was the price of items in the Portable Shop; if they were too expensive, then his Dragon Knight legion would go bankrupt!

And to find out the price of items in the shop, there had to be items in the shop first.

The first function could only replicate one item a month, and that item couldn't be replicated casually, so Arthur turned his gaze toward the once-a-month random draw in the Portable Shop.

Since he couldn't control this anyway, there was no harm in using it now.

With a tap of his finger, the four words 'Random Draw' in the Portable Shop turned into a red lottery box, which then began to shake violently.

A few seconds later, a fiery red Scroll pattern leaped out from the box, and before Arthur could look closely, the Scroll appeared directly on the shelf of the Portable Shop.

Seeing this, Arthur could only turn his gaze to the shelf, and then his eyes narrowed because he discovered that the price of that red Scroll was a staggering 100,000 Gold Coins!

Just saying the number 100,000 might not be shocking enough, but from Arthur's memories, he knew that the basic annual living needs of a family of three in the Counts Fief only required five Gold Coins."}],
