210: Demigods Attack
Juan Tuesta and Youssef Bikel are the names of the only two remaining Legendary Experts in the Heine Kingdom.
From their graying temples and furrowed brows, it was evident that both men were quite old.
Juan and Youssef stood above the Heine Royal Capital, scanning the many buildings ruined by the battle within the capital, their brows tightly furrowed.
Both were Legendary Experts, and should have been imposing, yet now they both felt a sense of unease.
There was both confusion about the future of the Heine Kingdom and a feeling of sorrow, like that of a fox mourning the death of a rabbit, while being in the capital.
There was even a hint of fear, afraid that the five Silver Dragons hadn't gone far and would suddenly return to strike at them, which would be the end.
In this uneasy atmosphere, time passed little by little.
Until a certain moment, a dark, ten-foot-wide crack suddenly appeared in the sky above the Heine Royal Capital.
Then, a middle-aged man in armor with a solemn expression emerged from the crack.
Breaking space and using a space channel to travel is a characteristic of a Demigod Expert.
Demigod Experts can all travel through space channels, not because they are all proficient in space attributes, but by using brute force.
Their immense power allows them to break the space of the Continent of Gods and use it for travel.
But that's all; they cannot use techniques like Space Blade or Space Lock, unlike the Silver Dragons.
Juan and Youssef, standing hundreds of meters above the capital, saw the newcomer shatter the Void Realm and immediately knew that a Demigod from the Thunder Empire had arrived.
Furthermore, the Thunder Empire's imperial family only had five Demigods in total, and the two had long since memorized their faces.
They hurriedly stepped forward to pay their respects.
"Greetings, Demigod Richard!"
"I am Juan Tuesta!"
"I am Youssef Bikel!"
"We are the only two remaining Legendary Experts of the Heine Kingdom. We heard that Demigod Richard would be investigating yesterday's events, so we specifically waited here!"
Hearing this, Richard casually glanced at the two:
"Mm! You've put in the effort!"
He then left the two aside and carefully observed the situation in the capital, to see if he could find any clues.
Juan and Youssef had no objections to this, after all, he was a Legendary, and it was already good that he wasn't looking for trouble with them.
Richard meticulously scanned the capital with his Mental Energy but found nothing, so he couldn't help but turn his gaze back to Juan and Youssef:
"Since you two are from the Heine Kingdom, have you found any clues, or do you have any suspicions about the mastermind behind this?"
Hearing this, Juan and Youssef exchanged glances before awkwardly saying:
"Well... we are aware of the Heine Royal Family's overt enemies, but they shouldn't have the ability to summon five Silver Dragons!"
"So you don't know who the culprit is!"
Richard directly exposed their evasion.
"Yes!
Our relationship with the Royal Family isn't that close; there are many of their actions we are unaware of.
Perhaps, and I mean perhaps, they might have truly offended the Dragon Clan!"
Although the Dragon Clan is in decline now, with a total number of just over a hundred, they still have quite a few powerful experts.
Those more than a hundred Dragons become Legendary Experts upon adulthood, and the Dragon Clan itself also has two Demigods.
Such strength is not inferior to any human Empire.
Therefore, Juan and Youssef dared not offend the Dragon Clan, and thus dared not speak carelessly.
On the other side, upon hearing their words, Richard no longer held any hope for them.
As a Demigod, Richard knew far more about the Dragon Clan than Juan and the other two.
Silver Dragons proficient in space attributes are also a rare species within the Dragon Clan; as far as he knew, there were only five Silver Dragons on the entire Dragon Island.
It couldn't be that they all mobilized just for the Heine Kingdom, could it?
Most importantly, one of the two Demigods in the Dragon Clan was a Silver Dragon.
This meant that there were only four Legendary-level Silver Dragons left on Dragon Island, yet five Legendary-level Silver Dragons came to the Heine Kingdom last night.
The numbers don't even match, let alone their genders and appearances.
But just in case, Richard still held onto a sliver of hope and asked the two:
"You two should have the appearances of the five Silver Dragons from last night, right?"
"Yes, yes, I extracted the memories of the capital's survivors and drew them out!"
Seeing that he could finally be of help, Juan quickly took out a projection gem from his space ring. As Qi was infused, the images of the five Silver Dragons were projected through the gem.
Youssef, standing beside him, looked at Juan with a hint of resentment, as if saying, 'You actually made such preparations, letting you show off in front of a Demigod Expert!'
After reviewing them, Richard finally gave up hope; the five Silver Dragons from last night were all different from the Silver Dragons he remembered.
The Dragon Clan is proud; if they were truly seeking revenge, there would be no need to change their appearance.
After all, if the Heine Kingdom had indeed hunted down Dragon Clan members without cause, and the Dragon Clan came for revenge, even the Thunder Empire would have nothing to say.
There was simply no need to hide their appearance.
However, it was still too early to draw conclusions based solely on this. The matter was too important; what if a few Silver Dragons from the Dragon Clan had been secretly hidden all along?
With this thought, Richard prepared to make a trip to Dragon Island to uncover the truth.
If this matter was truly related to the Dragon Clan, then it would be understandable.
If not, the sudden appearance of five Legendary Peak Silver Dragons would be no small matter for the entire Continent of Gods.
This meant that an organization they didn't know about was secretly developing and carrying out some kind of scheme!
This was unfavorable for the Empire, because the current Thunder Empire was a beneficiary in the Continent of Gods.
Those people hiding in the dark definitely wanted to change something and gain some benefit.
And the benefits currently held by the three great Empires were the greatest, making them the primary targets.
"Since there are no clues in the capital, I will first go investigate other places. You two wait here..."
Richard, who was speaking, seemed to suddenly detect something and immediately looked towards the north gate of the capital.
Juan and Youssef looked in the direction he indicated and found a silver-haired, silver-armored girl strikingly conspicuous at the city gate, hundreds of meters below them.
The girl's appearance was stunning, but that wasn't the most important thing. Juan and the two realized something was amiss because, with their Legendary strength, they couldn't discern the girl's Realm.
As Richard and the two looked at the girl, the silver-haired girl also looked up at them, hundreds of meters above, at the same moment.
The next second, the silver-haired girl appeared beside Richard and the two, silently.
Juan and Youssef were startled by the girl's sudden appearance.
A Demigod Expert!
Juan and Youssef were inwardly shocked, but then realized something was wrong.
No, Demigod Experts break space, and there's a lot of commotion when they traverse space, but this girl seemed more like she was controlling space, silently!
"Greetings, Demigod Richard, I didn't expect you to be the one investigating this matter!"
Richard was a Demigod, while this girl was only at the Legendary Peak, so naturally, the latter greeted first.
