11: Earn millions of gold coins per month

"Yiya, yiya..."

As soon as Arthur arrived in the courtyard, he heard several cute cries. Then, he saw four thumb-sized and one palm-sized little people, fluttering their transparent wings, flying towards him from the courtyard.

Due to certain rules, all Spirits take the form of little girls, and these five Spirits were no exception, appearing exceptionally cute.

"Yiya, yiya..."

Four Sprites and one Greater Spirit—five little cuties in total—soon reached Arthur's cheek, constantly nuzzling against it. It gave Arthur a soft, warm, and very cozy feeling.

However, this warmth didn't last long, as these mischievous little ones scurried onto Arthur's head and began tugging at his hair to play.

These five little ones feared and loved their master, Count Abergh, the most.

As for Arthur and Arina, the Spirits only liked them by association; they felt fond of them but could also be quite naughty.

Arthur found it hard to be stern with them and didn't really want to be, either.

While playing with these little ones, Arthur silently made up his mind: his next few duplication opportunities would be for them!

After all, as long as he obtained these little ones, it was a highly profitable venture. If he duplicated and bought them, he would make a killing.

After playing for half an hour, Arthur finally left the courtyard in a noticeably better mood.

Just like that, another ten days passed, and the day of Arthur's scheduled meeting with Matt arrived.

Early in the morning, Arthur excitedly headed to the remote courtyard he had previously rented.

After arranging for the two guards to stand watch at the front door as usual, Arthur entered the courtyard's house alone.

Once inside the room and having closed the door behind him, Arthur saw Matt step out from the shadows.

Upon seeing Arthur, Matt first clenched his right fist and then pressed it against his left chest, offering a salute.

"My Lord!"

This etiquette was similar to a salute from his previous life, a gesture used by a subordinate facing a superior, but it was less formal than kneeling on one knee.

This was Arthur's requirement. After all, it wasn't good to have people kneeling at every turn. They could kneel for major matters, but for ordinary situations, this fist-to-chest salute was sufficient.

After a slight nod of acknowledgement, Arthur said, "How did the armor sales go? How many gold coins did you get?"

Hearing this, Matt took out a space ring and replied, "I sold all the armor to the Dawn Merchant Guild in the city. The unit price was three hundred and sixty thousand gold coins, for a total of three million six hundred thousand gold coins."

"Then there's the extra hundred thousand gold coins you gave me; after buying the weapons, there were twenty thousand left. So, there is a total of three million six hundred and twenty thousand gold coins in this ring."

Hearing Matt's words, a smile immediately broke out on Arthur's face, and he nodded repeatedly. "Not bad! To be able to sell a suit of armor for three hundred and sixty thousand gold coins is truly beyond my expectations!"

"As for the remaining twenty thousand, you keep it for yourself. As a Gold Knight, you should have some money on you!"

Saying this, Arthur took three million six hundred thousand gold coins from the space ring Matt handed over.

After placing ten more sets of gold knight armor into the space ring, he returned it to Matt along with the remaining twenty thousand gold coins.

"Thank you, My Lord!"

Matt gladly accepted Arthur's kindness; after all, it was indeed more convenient for him to have some money on hand.

As for why he was still only giving Matt ten sets of armor to sell for now...

First, Arthur only intended for Matt to sell armor to the Dawn Merchant Guild for the time being. The more merchants they sold to, the higher the probability of attracting unwanted attention, and Arthur didn't want to cause too much talk yet.

Furthermore, it had been ten days since Matt last sold armor to the Dawn Merchant Guild, yet no particular rumors had surfaced within the Counts Fief.

This showed that the Dawn Merchant Guild was reliable and that he could continue doing business with them.

And selling ten sets of armor to the Dawn Merchant Guild in ten days was already plenty. After all, the Counts Fief only earned over two million gold coins a year; the value of these ten sets of armor had already exceeded that.

He was afraid that if he brought out too much armor at once, the Dawn Merchant Guild wouldn't have enough gold coins. After all, the one in the Counts Fief was just a branch, and Arthur wouldn't overestimate them too much.

Having completed the exchange of goods and money, Arthur was about to leave, but he was called back by Matt.

"My Lord, I have one more matter to explain to you."

"During these ten days, I discovered that people from the Counts Mansion have been monitoring this place in secret. However, their cultivation is at most Silver Rank, so they haven't discovered me!"

"Moreover, they only investigated during the few days of your arrival and haven't returned since!"

"It seems they've come again today!"

"Mm, I understand."

Regarding matters concerning the Counts Mansion, Matt only had the right to report, not to question. So, after Arthur indicated his awareness, Matt stopped speaking.

On the other side, after hearing Matt say that people from the Counts Mansion were following him, Arthur guessed it was likely his father sending people to protect him in secret, so he didn't worry about it.

The thought most prevalent in Arthur's mind now was that he was finally filthy rich!

With Meteor Shower Scrolls at one hundred thousand gold coins each, he could buy over thirty of them. Wiping out a common army of three hundred thousand in an instant would be no problem.

Even for a Mountain Giant, which was invincible among Earth Knights and cost one million gold coins each, he could now buy three at once. His sense of security was greatly enhanced!

This caused a faint, lingering smile to play on Arthur's lips for the next few days.

Time quickly passed for another twenty days, entering the next month—May.

During this period, Matt conducted two more transactions with the Dawn Merchant Guild, adding seven million two hundred thousand gold coins to Arthur's space ring.

Combined with the previous remaining two million eight hundred thousand gold coins (three million seven hundred thousand minus the nine hundred thousand used to buy thirty sets of armor), Arthur's savings had actually reached nearly ten million gold coins.

This was truly an astronomical sum of wealth, keeping Arthur's mood consistently pleasant!

And the Dawn Merchant Guild was indeed as Arthur had thought; conducting a transaction once every ten days was already the absolute limit for the current branch!

However, the Dawn Merchant Guild branch also guaranteed that in a few months, they would definitely increase their purchasing capacity.

But in truth, ten million gold coins worth of transactions in a month was already an astronomical figure!

Calculated this way, there would be over a hundred million gold coins coming in a year. Arthur estimated that the annual income of the Kingdom's Royal Family was only around that number!

On the other hand, Arthur's current strength was somewhat insufficient to protect his wealth.

After all, the strongest trump card in his hand was still only a Mountain Giant at the Earth Knight stage. The strongest in the Kingdom was a powerhouse at the Legendary Knight level, which was two full ranks higher.

To protect his current wealth, he would need at least a powerhouse at the Sky Knight level!

Therefore, Arthur was considering whether to change the plan of duplicating Sprites and instead duplicate a more powerful expert, so as to have the ability to safeguard his current massive wealth.

And all of this would depend on the items drawn in the Portable Shop for this new month. If he could draw an expert at the Sky Knight level or above, then he would go ahead and duplicate the Sprites.
