15: The ferocity of the Golden Lion

Among the other mages in the territory, besides his mother Charlotte, the highest-ranking ones were only Magisters.

But unless absolutely necessary, Arthur didn't want to replicate his own family members, as that felt a bit strange.

So Arthur only chose to replicate a Life-element Magister... Today was the day Arthur was to embark on his pioneering journey to the Barren Plains, so the entire family gathered once again at the Count's Mansion castle.

The Count and Countess, the eldest brother, the second sister, and Arthur, the five of them, were gathered in the main hall of the castle, sitting at a long table, quietly enjoying breakfast as if nothing was amiss.

However, one could occasionally discern worried expressions in the eyes of the others.

After a long silence, Abergh, the master of the Count's Mansion, spoke first:

"I won't say anything superfluous; just be careful on your journey!"

"Don't worry, everyone, I will definitely open up a large territory in the Barren Plains.

Besides, you all know the situation with my small city, don't you? Father's arrangements are already excellent; as long as we don't encounter a large Orc army attack, there's no need to worry about safety!"

Seeing the atmosphere turn a bit heavy, the somewhat carefree second sister quickly interjected:

"Third brother's small city is only twenty li from our Count's Fief border. If he truly encounters danger and sends a signal, our border army will arrive within tens of minutes, so there's no need to worry!"

Seeing the atmosphere lighten slightly, Art, as the eldest brother, immediately added:

"And Father and Mother should still have trump cards to give to younger brother, right!"

Art, being the eldest brother, understood The Count and Countess better and made this guess.

"That's right, we do have something else to give Arthur, and your mother will reveal it!"

After Abergh responded, he turned his gaze to Charlotte, who nodded in acknowledgment and smiled at Arthur, saying:

"Besides the regular maids and butler, we are prepared to dispatch one Gold Knight from the Count's Mansion.

In addition, there will be twenty members of the Mad Lion Cavalry Regiment, two of whom are Silver Rank and eighteen are Bronze Knight.

The Mad Lion Cavalry Regiment, riding Demonic Beasts, can defeat three to five times their number of enemies.

With this force, even an ordinary Viscount's Fief would find it hard to defeat you, so we can rest assured!"

As Charlotte spoke, Art, Aliana, and Arthur's faces successively showed expressions of surprise.

They were all amazed by the generosity of The Count and Countess!

Although Arthur's hidden strength far exceeded the number of powerful individuals they provided, a single Sky Knight alone surpassed it by far!

But such a large number of powerful individuals already amounted to one-tenth of the Count's Fief's strong forces, and this sentiment deeply moved Arthur.

One must know that these people going to pioneer in the Barren Plains might never return!

Facing this care, Arthur didn't know how to respond, only saying:

"Thank you, Father and Mother, I will definitely be careful and succeed in pioneering!"

Hearing this, Count Abergh slowly nodded. He had also noticed Arthur's abnormalities in recent months, though he hadn't investigated them closely.

He couldn't help but think to himself, hoping this little fellow could bring him a surprise!

"Mm! We believe in you!"

"Yes, third brother will succeed!"

In response to Arthur's promise, the others all gave their affirmation... An hour later, Arthur had arrived at the Mad Lion City gate, fully prepared.

Since provisions and other daily necessities had already been transported to the small city by the Count, and even the butler, maids, Magistrate, and others had arrived ahead of time to prepare for Arthur's arrival.

So, this current team numbered less than thirty people; besides the twenty-one powerful individuals the Count mentioned earlier in the living room, there were only Arthur and his personal maid, Karona.

At this moment, Arthur, clad in silver-white gold knight armor and riding a tall white horse, stood at the front of the team, exuding the Aura of a Prince Charming.

And Karona, who possessed Silver Knight strength, was also in a fitting knight's armor, but the armor could not conceal her curvaceous figure. Coupled with her silver hair, she truly had a valiant and spirited demeanor.

As for the Gold Knight-level expert, it was precisely Chris, whom Arthur had used to replicate a Gold Knight a few months prior.

Chris, as the castle's guard captain, possessed Peak Gold Knight strength. The Count's decision to send him to accompany Arthur showed his painstaking efforts!

Apart from the three above, the remaining twenty people were all riding a kind of golden lion.

Elite Mad Lions are Metal-element Demonic Beasts. Their Metal-element magic makes their skin as hard as metal, while their claws and teeth are incredibly sharp, occasionally reflecting a chilling cold light that makes people break out in a cold sweat.

Although the eighteen Bronze Knights rode Elite Mad Lions that only possessed Bronze Rank Aura,

these Bronze Rank Elite Mad Lions were still two meters tall, making them awe-inspiring.

And the two Silver Rank Elite Mad Lions ridden by the two Silver Knights were even more extraordinary; the two Demonic Beasts reached a terrifying height of three meters, requiring most people to look up at them, and their oppressive Aura was simply incomparable.

How could ordinary knights and horses withstand a charge from such a cavalry regiment? No wonder the golden sharp lion cavalry could fight at least one against three.

Speaking of which, riding such a mighty Demonic Beast would certainly be more imposing.

But Demonic Beasts are not something you can ride just because you want to; generally, you need to cultivate a bond with them from a young age, otherwise, unfamiliar riders will only end up as food.

This is also why Arthur and the other two were still riding horses.

Under the gaze of Count Abergh and others, Arthur took a deep breath and shouted:

"Depart!"

Following Arthur's command.

This force, capable of contending with an ordinary Viscount, galloped away into the distance with dull hoofbeats.

The Mad Lion Count's Fief could be called prosperous, and the news of Arthur going to pioneer the Barren Plains had spread after the Count had previously sent people to Arthur's small city to collect taxes.

Additionally, the Mad Lion Count's Fief was a border region and held immense hatred for the Orcs who had repeatedly plundered it.

So, as Arthur rode away, many commoners at the city gate also shouted:

"Lord Arthur, have a safe journey!"

"Lord Arthur, be sure to kill many Orcs!"

Arthur, facing their blessings, raised his hand behind him and waved in response... Their destination was the Barren Plains. From Mad Lion City, the center of the Count's Fief, it would take at least five or six hours of continuous riding.

It was already nearing noon, so Arthur had no time to delay.

Six hours later, the golden sun had grown somewhat dim, and Arthur's party finally crossed the border and arrived at the small city that belonged solely to Arthur.

When they were still a few hundred meters from the small city, Arthur's riding speed gradually slowed, for at this moment, a strange feeling arose in his heart.

Looking at the small city in the distance, bathed in the golden hues of the setting sun, Arthur knew that he could finally display his full abilities from now on!
