171: Chapter 171 The Construction of Qingdao City, Ruins Map

Chen Fan was the first to reach the island. After scanning the area, he sailed his three main ships into the island's waters.

As soon as they entered, roars echoed from all around.

In the forest, which stood twenty to thirty meters tall, pairs of scarlet pupils stared toward the sea.

Deeper within, the ground began to tremble, as if some terrifying existence was gradually approaching.

Chen Fan frowned slightly; the trees were too thick and dense, severely limiting his Exploration.

After a moment of contemplation, Chen Fan summoned 10,000 Crew Members and had them scatter into the forest.

Soon, hissing and roaring sounds erupted as a group of unusually large animals lunged out.

There were tigers over three meters tall, and bears that stood nearly seven or eight meters high.

There were even strange animals Chen Fan had never heard of.

The 10,000 Crew Members were instantly torn to shreds, and the scent of blood attracted even more animals.

Before long, the entire forest was filled with scarlet eyes.

Pondering for a moment, Chen Fan extended his right hand.

"Recruit."

[Special creature, cannot be Recruited.]

Chen Fan smiled and shook his head.

As expected, the system wouldn't let him exploit loopholes.

With so many strange creatures, if he could Recruit them to guard the island, no one would be able to land.

"Just right, while no one is here, let's test the power of the annihilation ship."

Chen Fan gestured, and Chris immediately moved the aircraft carrier further away.

Although they belonged to the same faction and wouldn't cause friendly fire, the massive aircraft carrier would still block the annihilation ship's trajectory.

After clearing the position, the gun ports on the annihilation ship opened wide.

Kuka scanned the area and pressed the launch button with a sinister grin.

In an instant, excluding the quantum armor-piercing cannons and plasma cannons, the other three hundred missile launchers fired in unison.

Boom, boom, boom—

Rumble—

The roaring sound shook the heavens. With such a large equivalent of missiles exploding simultaneously, a mushroom cloud even rose above the island.

The Five Women, who were the first to arrive nearby, were dumbfounded as they watched the rising mushroom cloud.

"My god! Is this the power of the annihilation ship?"

"It's too terrifying, much stronger than the aircraft carrier's attacks."

"That's for sure. The aircraft carrier's primary role is support, but the annihilation ship is born for attack."

"But why did Brother Fan open fire? Could there be enemies on the island?"

Chen Fan smiled slightly, "There are some strange animals, just perfect for testing its power."

"Brother, show me the power quickly."

"Pfft, you girl, you're the first to see Brother Fan's power, aren't you? Always doing things on the sly."

"Haha..."

Chen Fan shrugged and sent the recorded video to the group chat.

After watching it, the pupils of The Five Women contracted sharply.

The originally dense forest had been cleared into a thousand-meter radius empty space after one round of shooting by the annihilation ship.

The ground was covered in burning branches and shattered corpses.

"Ugh—"

"So disgusting, wuwuwu."

The Five Women felt nauseated after seeing it.

"Then don't come over yet. I'll clean this place up first."

He sailed the aircraft carrier back, summoned all the Crew Members, and began extinguishing fires and clearing the remains.

Inside the forest, there were still many flashing scarlet eyes.

The ones he killed near the shallows were only a minority. On such a large island, there were still many strange creatures distributed throughout.

The rest would have to be cleared out bit by bit.

After all, once deep inside the forest, he couldn't rely on the warship; he had to rely on the Crew Members to clear the map.

Checking his Crew Member space, Chen Fan purchased another 500 A-Class Blade Soldiers and 500 A-Class Archers, bringing the total to one thousand each.

Once The Five Women entered the island, he let the Crew Members go in to clear the map.

"Short Lord is going in to play too."

Kadel put away his flask, took out his keen giant gun, and was about to get off the ship.

"Wait for me, I'm going too."

Divine Ox, Pudge, and other Crew Members walked out excitedly.

Chen Fan thought for a moment and let them disembark.

As offensive Crew Members, these individuals usually had very low presence.

Facing the upcoming dungeon siege, Chen Fan couldn't keep them locked in the Crew Member space forever.

It was better to let them practice now.

If they really fell and lost their sentience, then there was nothing to be done.

After all, offensive Crew Members had to go to the battlefield.

[Ding!]

[Successfully landed on the island, obtained: Relic Blueprint x1.]

[Relic Blueprint: Build an ancient relic to serve as the regional main city. If the relic is destroyed, the mission is considered a failure.]

Touching the cold blueprint, Chen Fan nodded slightly.

It seems this really is a city defense game.

Handing over command to Chris, Chen Fan took The Five Women into the pool.

He had been busy developing and farming recently, so he had indeed neglected them a bit.

In the 5x5 meter super invincible giant pool.

Chen Fan was blindfolded, playing a game of blind man's bluff with The Five Women.

More and more Players gradually approached the island.

Under the command of the team leaders, they sent out Crew Members to start clearing the island.

At first, the Players were enthusiastic, standing on the deck watching the surveillance footage, personally directing the Crew Members' advance.

After a few hours, they felt bored and handed over command to the S-Class Crew Member, returning to the cabin to rest.

The island clearing operation continued until early morning before the vast majority of animals in the area were eliminated.

As for the animal corpses, they were collected by the Players into their space for later meals.

After five in the morning.

Chen Fan looked at the sleeping The Five Women and didn't disturb them.

Walking to the shallows, several team leaders had been waiting for a long time.

"Boss, in which area should we build the city wall?"

Chen Fan looked at the five people with bloodshot eyes, "Mark the area and go get some rest. There's still a battle to fight at 12 o'clock."

"Yes, Boss!"

The five were a bit excited and punched the air.

Chen Fan chuckled and opened the sea chart.

"There are no landing spots to the north and south, so don't worry about those."

"Our warships are all docked on the east side, so the main city should be built on the east side, and the city wall will naturally be on the east side as well."

earth burrowing ship: "Boss, what if the enemy attacks from the west?"

"Yeah, don't we need to build some city walls on the west side?"

Chen Fan was speechless: "Are you stupid? Our main city is on the east side, why would they attack from the west? To cut trees? Let them cut them if they want."

"But what if they land?"

"Without warships, landing on foot? That's even better, arrow towers are enough to deal with them."

"Uh..."

"Boss is right! As long as they don't destroy the main city, those trees don't matter."

"Yeah, yeah, we'll put some artillery in the western hinterland. If they dare to land, we'll blast them with artillery once they get deep inside."

Chen Fan shook his head, "They probably won't. The enemy will only use warships to bomb our city walls and buildings. If they don't destroy our main force, landing is meaningless."

"Boss, we also need to guard against helicopter bombing."

"That's why the main city should be built within the attack range of the warships. If you see a helicopter, focus fire. Anti-aircraft missiles can also protect the main city."

"Alright Boss, shall we start building the city wall?"

"Yes, I'll place the basalt on the eastern coastline and have the Crew Members start building."

The group walked toward the eastern coastline.

Chen Fan looked at the sea chart and took a chip out of his storage space.

This chip was the one Zhou Heng used to contact Zhou Tao.

After powering it on, the signal connected instantly.

Chen Fan's eyes lit up.

He didn't expect this sea area to be in the same world as the Superpower Metropolis.

Chen Fan tapped his fingers and edited a text message to send out.

On the other side.

Sinkhole area.

After the last tragedy, the sinkhole had been sealed off by the military region.

Zhou Tao felt a vibration and took the chip out of his pocket.

"General Chen, he's back!"

As he spoke.

Inside the sinkhole, a huge head quickly emerged from the water.
