64: Chapter 64 The Emperor's Title, He Dies!

Emperor cursed under his breath as he took a screenshot, about to send it to Fangs.

Suddenly, he felt a chill down his back, and goosebumps instantly covered his entire body.

Something is wrong!

The intuition he had honed while dancing on the edge of death saved his life.

Subconsciously, Emperor tried to throw himself to the ground.

However, the fast-approaching arrow still pierced his lower back.

"Ah!!!"

Emperor let out a miserable scream, feeling his entire lower back and lower body go completely numb.

The crossbow bolt entered his lower back and pierced straight through him, the pain making his scalp tingle.

"Pirates? No, that's not it."

Emperor gasped, his eyes filled with a sinister look.

"It's him..."

"How did this bastard get close to me without making a sound?"

"And it's pitch black, so how can he see me?"

"Could it be his Exploration Talent?"

"No wonder this little beast insisted on making me come out again."

At this moment, he regretted not being more cautious; instead of having a Crew Member go out to take the screenshot, he had done it himself.

Such a small mistake had put him in danger.

Emperor gritted his teeth, his mind racing with calculations.

Since Fangs could see him, fighting him at range was too disadvantageous.

Therefore, he had to trick him into coming closer.

Thinking of this, he immediately formed a plan.

Holding his lower back, he let out occasional wails.

He then opened the chat interface and sent the screenshot he had just taken.

"You dog, I'm about to be shot to death by pirates, why aren't you hurrying over?"

After sending the message, Emperor gritted his teeth and lay motionless on the deck.

Using the gunwale as cover, he didn't believe Fangs could still attack him.

And that was indeed the case.

Fangs, who had been watching for a long time, couldn't find another opportunity to attack.

Hearing the private message notification, he couldn't help but chuckle.

"This Emperor is actually stupid enough to think he was ambushed by pirates. Fine, I'll trick him some more."

Collecting his thoughts, Fangs replied, "Boss, just wait, I'll be there soon. I shouldn't be far from you."

After saying that, he didn't rush to approach.

Although Emperor was alert, Fangs had seen clearly that the Sharpshooter's arrow had pierced through the other man's lower back.

If he didn't treat the wound immediately, his condition would only worsen.

Therefore, Fangs wasn't in any hurry.

As if to confirm his suspicion, a while later, Emperor sent another voice message.

"Are you coming or not? If you don't get here soon, I'm leaving the dungeon."

Fangs looked at the time remaining in the dungeon and sneered.

"Right away, I'm still about a thousand meters away from you."

Emperor gritted his teeth, "Hurry up, I... I'm not... going to make it."

"Boss, hold on, I'm almost there!"

"You..."

"Boss, what did you say?"

"..."

After sending several voice messages in a row without receiving a reply, Fangs' heart skipped a beat.

But he still kept his composure and didn't move forward.

After waiting for another ten minutes, with the dungeon time reaching 50 minutes, he finally commanded the captain to steer the ship closer.

As the two sailboats gradually drew closer, a strong, pungent smell of blood washed over them.

The fish in the sea, having smelled the blood, were frantically ramming against the hull.

Fangs activated his Magic Eyes, observing Emperor from a distance as he lay on the ground.

It wasn't until the time reached 55 minutes that he waved his hand.

Several Sailors skillfully jumped onto the sailboat and hoisted Emperor up.

Just as they turned him toward Fangs, a ball of fire instantly condensed.

Emperor opened his mouth, his chest swelling up before suddenly contracting.

An Explosion flame flew straight toward Fangs.

"Heh, I knew it."

Fangs sneered and quickly dodged.

The Sharpshooter standing beside him, however, didn't hesitate to throw himself forward, using his body to intercept the Explosion shell.

The A-rank Sharpshooter was instantly torn to pieces.

However, the next second, he reappeared on the deck and skillfully pulled the trigger.

"Whoosh—"

The crossbow bolt instantly pierced through Emperor's chest.

The excruciating pain made his whole body tremble, but with his hands and feet held by the Sailors, he couldn't move.

"You bastard, once I get out, I'm definitely going to kill you."

Emperor widened his eyes, his scarlet pupils locked firmly onto Fangs.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, Boss, what kind of talk is that? Aren't you afraid? I'm just sending you back."

Fangs leaped onto Emperor's sailboat.

He then pulled a few Sailors over to stand between the two of them.

"Trash, you think having an Exploration Talent means you can talk crap to me? If worst comes to worst, I'll just reset, and once I develop, I'll be sure to kill you first!"

"Heh."

Fangs sneered, "You'd better worry about the present first. Hand over my supplies."

"Heh... ptooey."

Emperor spat a glob of phlegm, hitting a Sailor in the face.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, how uncouth. You'd better think this through. If you die, you restart when you go out. If you leave alive, you can still keep your supplies."

Hearing this, Emperor's breath hitched, and he sneered, "You're willing to let me go?"

"Why wouldn't I?"

Fangs laughed, walked up, and patted Emperor's face with a look of satisfaction, mocking, "Oh, Emperor, Emperor, look at you today."

"Return my supplies, and give me ninety percent of your current supplies, and I'll let you go. How about that?"

"In your dreams! I'll give you twenty percent at most."

"Seventy percent."

"Thirty percent, no more. Otherwise, just kill me, and you won't get anything either!"

"Fifty percent. If you don't agree, then die!"

Fangs snorted coldly, issuing an ultimatum.

A glint flashed in Emperor's eyes.

Fifty percent was his bottom line; although it would be a heavy loss, it was still better than restarting.

"How do I know if you'll break your word?"

Fangs laughed and pulled a contract from the system interface.

"It's a system trading contract. Both parties agree to it, and it takes effect once signed. Whoever breaches it will be wiped out."

"There's such a thing?"

Emperor frowned and opened his own system interface.

After searching for a moment, he actually found the contract agreement.

After examining it carefully, he nodded and said, "Fine, but I need to take inventory of my supplies."

"Take your time. I know you're waiting for the system timer. Don't worry, once it hits 59 minutes, if the deal isn't done, I'll kill you first."

"You..."

With his little scheme exposed, Emperor gritted his teeth and snorted coldly.

Fangs patted his face again with satisfaction, and under his murderous gaze, the two reached an agreement.

"Emperor returns all my supplies and hands over half of his own in exchange for me sparing his life in this dungeon."

After both of them confirmed, Emperor's backpack began to vibrate.

Item after item of supplies rapidly disappeared and appeared in Fangs' backpack.

Emperor subconsciously felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

The trade was completed just as the dungeon time reached 59 minutes.

"The trade is done. You said you wouldn't kill me, otherwise you'll die too!"

Emperor stared fixedly at Fangs, his eyes full of hatred.

Looking at the extra supplies in his backpack, Fangs let out a sinister laugh and leaped back to his own sailboat.

"I definitely won't kill you, but that thing might."

Emperor suddenly felt a chill down his back.

He turned his head and saw a black, mist-shrouded column-like object approaching.

"Impossible!"

He exclaimed, his gaze sweeping toward a specific slot in his backpack.

The tentacle that Fangs had originally given him was gone.

"You little beast, I..."

Emperor roared, but before he could finish, the tentacle attached itself to him.

In an instant, Emperor was enveloped in black mist and vanished.

Emperor, perished!
