220: Chapter 220 Night Talk, Ruthless, Plan

After digesting this for a long time, a few group leaders finally spoke up.

"Then... what do we do from now on? Who will be the boss?"

"The most critical question is, are we still going to cause trouble for District One?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the regional channel fell silent once again.

In fact, many players no longer wanted revenge at all; they just wanted to lie low and develop.

After several waves of encirclement and suppression, more than half of District 3300's foundation had been depleted.

Although they had retreated early both times and the losses weren't that significant...

...the accumulated losses were still enough to be painful.

Sky Eye took a deep breath, his tone somewhat sorrowful:

"I will temporarily take over as the regional boss. If a more suitable candidate emerges later, I will step down."

"That would be for the best. It doesn't really matter whether Boss Sky Eye or Boss Setting Sun is in command."

"Exactly. Hasn't our district achieved what it has today thanks to those two bosses?"

"@Sky Eye, don't be sad, Boss Sky Eye. Our elites are still here; we still have a chance to develop."

"Strategy. I have only one word: strategy! The next strategy must be well-planned; we can't afford any more mishaps."

"Right, right. Our district can no longer withstand such a heavy blow."

Sky Eye nodded. "I will hold a meeting with the regional elites to discuss several proposals, and ultimately, everyone will vote to decide which one to choose."

"That couldn't be better..."

"Keep it up, Brothers! Our district still possesses great strength."

"Go for it, go for it."

"..."

Soon, Sky Eye gathered the remaining elites together.

"The world channel is still denouncing us, so I'll keep this brief."

Sky Eye cleared his throat, his voice heavy:

"There are three proposals now. The first: surrender to District One, and then..."

"Impossible!"

Before he could finish, Frenzied Demon slammed the table, fuming with rage:

"Our boss's body isn't even cold yet, and you're talking to me about surrendering?"

Sky Eye said nothing, looking up and staring quietly at Frenzied Demon.

Two pairs of eyes met—one blood-red and twitching incessantly.

The other was as calm as a deep well.

After staring at each other for a moment, the crimson in Frenzied Demon's eyes gradually dissipated.

He pulled up the chair he had kicked over and sat back down huffily.

Sky Eye straightened the table and continued, "We will go and clear out the remaining seven districts, and then surrender."

"The china is currently being put on a pedestal; as long as we surrender sincerely, he will have no choice but to forgive us."

After saying that, Sky Eye fell silent and sat to the side, waiting for a response.

Soon, Swift Shadow shook his head:

"I disagree. At worst, I'll die, but I won't be a dog."

Sky Eye nodded slightly and looked at the others:

"What about you?"

Frenzied Demon snorted, "I'm not being a dog either."

A young man sitting in the corner smiled:

"If it comes to it, we'll just die. Anyway, the boss has already gone ahead; at most, I'll just follow in his footsteps."

"Me too."

"+1."

Except for Sky Eye, the remaining five all expressed their stance.

Sky Eye breathed a sigh of relief, his gaze softening slightly:

"Then the second proposal is to play dead."

"Play dead?"

"Yes, play dead."

Sky Eye nodded. "The only purpose of making such a big fuss in the world channel is to force us to pay compensation."

"As long as we play dead, the hype will die down after a while, and they won't dare to do anything to us."

Frenzied Demon frowned; just as he was about to slam the table, Swift Shadow glared him down.

Swift Shadow cleared his throat. "The impact of that is a bit poor. What about the third one?"

Hearing this, the others couldn't help but nod as well.

They had always been the objects of admiration for other districts; when had they ever welshed on a debt?

Once that precedent was set, it would cause irreparable damage to District 3300's reputation.

If there were any better choice, they wouldn't choose to play dead and welsh.

Sky Eye chuckled but didn't state the final proposal yet.

"Do you know why the china's side can possess so many S-rank skills?"

At these words, all five looked up simultaneously, their eyes burning as they stared at Sky Eye.

"Brother Xiao Yan, did you figure it out?"

"I have a guess, though it might be right or it might not."

"Stop being so mysterious and tell your Brothers," Frenzied Demon mumbled.

Sky Eye was just about to speak when he stopped abruptly, his gaze sweeping outside the cabin.

"Shh..."

The others frowned, not knowing what he was up to, but they cooperatively fell silent.

Soon, a young voice came from outside:

"Boss Sky Eye, I'm here."

Sky Eye chuckled and stood up to greet him. "Good brother, you didn't tell anyone else, did you?"

The person ran in excitedly, looking overwhelmed by the favor:

"No. Boss said there would be a reward and told me not to tell anyone, so I snuck over here all by myself. I didn't even tell my group leader."

"Good brother, truly a good brother."

Sky Eye patted his shoulder, leaning forward as if to embrace him.

The player was thrilled and excitedly leaned in:

"Boss, you're so good to me, I... ugh."

He looked down, staring at his chest in disbelief.

A dagger was plunged right into his heart.

"You..."

He reached out, pointing at Sky Eye, before his body slumped and he collapsed.

"What are you doing?!!"

Frenzied Demon slammed the table and jumped to his feet.

"Shh..."

Sky Eye signaled him to be quiet again, his eyes fixed on the fallen player.

This behavior made the other five even more confused and curious, and they all crowded around.

The group stared unblinkingly at the corpse on the floor.

A moment later, their eyes sharpened.

A mist of blood slowly rose from the corpse.

"Quick, this should be it."

"Wait, wait, how do we handle this?"

"A container, get a container..."

They scrambled to pull out bottles and inverted one over the blood mist.

Instantly, the blood mist was trapped inside the bottle.

"This is..."

Frenzied Demon leaned in, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes.

Sky Eye looked at the blood mist in the bottle, a grin slowly spreading across his face.

A moment later, it turned into a fit of wild laughter.

"Hahaha, I know! I understand now!"

He didn't stop until tears filled the corners of his eyes.

The laughter gradually turned into sobbing:

"Brother Setting Sun, I've figured out what's going on with their Talent, but I'm still one step too late."

"If only I had figured it out a step earlier, you wouldn't have had to die."

"Brother, you died such a miserable death..."

After murmuring for a while, he wiped away his tears and gritted his teeth:

"Revenge!"

"Just wait for me. I will definitely kill everyone in District One to be buried with you!"
