323: Chapter 323 Hellfire at 15,000 Meters High
Just as the two were searching for Damon, continuous waves of troops poured out of the headquarters.
These included countless armored vehicles, fighter jets, and helicopters.
As well as the Mechanical Dragon that Chen Fan had been longing for!
Unlike what Chen Fan had seen in the plaza before, the number of these Mechanical Dragons reached into the hundreds.
If Chen Fan had discovered this scene, he would certainly have been extremely excited.
However, he did not have the energy to observe these right now.
"Mercury, have you arrived?"
"I have. I see you."
Chen Fan nodded, his gaze fixed on the figure two meters ahead.
"Spirit Realm!"
The two separated again.
Mercury headed in a direction based on her memory.
Meanwhile, Chen Fan scurried about like a headless fly.
The four-meter-tall Hellfire poured out, and the underground world instantly became empty.
After opening three Spirit Realms in succession, Chen Fan surprisingly hadn't encountered any units.
Three minutes later, Chen Fan prepared to return to the rendezvous point.
Suddenly, Mercury let out an exclamation:
"I found him!"
"Where?" Chen Fan's expression jolted.
"There's not enough time. Let's regroup first, and I'll take you there."
"Okay!"
Chen Fan took a deep breath and quickly moved toward the rendezvous point.
After Mercury arrived, Chen Fan continued the Spirit Realm, and the two moved forward, almost pressed against each other.
"He is hiding in a crevice, and the outside is covered in flames, so it took a while to find him."
Chen Fan's eyes lit up slightly. "You could find him even when he was hiding like that?"
Mercury nodded, her tone carrying a hint of relief.
"Fortunately, I belong to the same faction as him, so I have a natural, strong perception of him."
"Well done! Once I get the holy radiance crystal energy, you'll be the first one I set it up for."
Chen Fan excitedly dangled the carrot.
However, Mercury didn't buy it and focused on leading the way.
Two minutes later, the two appeared outside a narrow crevice.
"This is it." Mercury gestured toward the crevice.
Chen Fan gently pressed against it.
Upon entering the crevice, an aged face wearing gold-and-red armor and a black cloak appeared before him.
In his hand, he held a scepter engulfed in raging flames.
"He's really here!"
Chen Fan's eyes lit up, and he backed out.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes." Mercury nodded gently.
"Let's review the plan."
Chen Fan let out a long breath and smiled:
"Starting from when I cast Thin Burial, you rush in directly to startle him. Once you see him cast Hellfire, I will use Skill Steal."
After Skill Steal is successfully cast, a ray of light will fly out from him. Once you see this light, you can retreat."
Mercury listened to Chen Fan's explanation quietly, then nodded.
"Then let's begin!"
Chen Fan shouted in a low voice, "Thin Burial!"
Instantly, their figures were revealed.
Under the scorching of the karmic fire, intense pain instantly surged to Chen Fan's cerebral cortex.
Although Thin Burial could protect him from damage, it did not block the pain.
"Invisibility!"
Chen Fan gritted his teeth and cast the Invisibility skill.
On the other side, Mercury was much calmer.
Feeling that Thin Burial had taken effect, she quickly threw the Ghost Blade and stepped into the crevice in one stride.
"Mercury? What are you doing here?!"
A deep exclamation rang out from inside the crevice.
"Taking your life."
Mercury swung the blade in her hand.
But the speed was much slower than a normal attack.
"Are you crazy? I have no grudge against you! Why..."
Damon exclaimed, wanting to communicate with her.
But looking at the blade approaching him, he had no time to say more and furiously swung the staff in his hand:
"Hellfire!"
However, what Damon didn't see was that when he shouted the words "Hellfire," the corners of Mercury's mouth curled up slightly.
Furthermore, the swinging blade slowed down a little more.
Chen Fan, who was resisting the pain of the karmic fire outside, suddenly felt a wave of dizziness in his head.
Immediately, a huge flaming giant appeared in the pit.
Its appearance almost occupied the entire space of the pit, pushing Chen Fan into a corner.
If it weren't for Thin Burial, the moment the Hellfire landed, it would have killed Chen Fan instantly.
"Is this the ten-thousand-meter Hellfire?!"
Chen Fan looked up, his eyes filled with amazement.
Immediately, he scanned the interior of the crevice and waved his hand.
"Skill Steal."
Instantly, a red light flew out from the crevice.
"Mercury!"
Chen Fan shouted in the Crew Member space.
"Okay."
Mercury replied indifferently.
Immediately, she slashed the blade in her hand toward Damon.
"You're not dead? How is that possible..."
Damon widened his eyes, looking at Mercury in disbelief.
No one could survive at the center of his Hellfire's impact.
No one!
"Ugh..."
Damon trembled all over and looked down at his neck.
A smooth cut gradually appeared.
"You... why..."
Before he could finish, his head fell to the ground with a thud.
Mercury did not answer; she waved her hand and drew out Damon's essence blood.
Then, her figure flickered, and she appeared outside the crevice.
"What is this?"
Chen Fan looked at this drop of essence blood in confusion.
"Keep it; it will be useful later."
Mercury didn't say much more; her figure flashed, and she returned to the Crew Member space.
Seeing this, Chen Fan shook his head, took out a bottle, and put the essence blood inside.
He looked up at the huge Hellfire again, then whispered:
"Shapeshift Exchange."
Instantly, Chen Fan returned to the Mechanical Dragon.
However, the moment he left, a void energy floated out from Damon's corpse.
It passed through the raging flames and darted into the body of the Hellfire.
"Awoo—"
The Hellfire's size expanded again, growing to a height of 15,000 meters.
Half of its massive head protruded from the large pit.
The fleeing soldiers heard the commotion and instinctively looked back.
They were instantly scared out of their wits.
"What the hell is that?!"
"Holy crap, such a big head. How tall must this thing be?"
"Bro... Brothers, this Earth Core, the depth is at least 12,000 meters..."
"I... holy crap!"
"Brothers, run!!!"
The soldiers, who were already being chased around by the four-meter-tall Hellfire, ran even faster.
As for Chen Fan's side, as soon as he switched to the Mechanical Dragon, he ordered Davian to ascend.
By the time the head protruded, he had already ascended into the clouds.
From his perspective, he could see this massive head more clearly.
"My god!"
Jiu Jiu covered her mouth and exclaimed.
Davian couldn't help but frown and pulled the Mechanical Dragon up much higher again.
"Master, after this thing comes out, I'm afraid the air won't be safe either."
"Hmm."
Chen Fan nodded.
He had seen what the Hellfire looked like in the Earth Core.
However, he had some doubts in his heart.
Why did this Hellfire get taller again?
