26: Chapter 26, Stage 3: Team Battle

The sailboat, having lost its pilot, drew an arc on the surface of the sea before coming to a stop in place.

Seeing this, Drake immediately spoke up:

"12 o'clock, 930 meters away, fire!"

Two cannons fired simultaneously, the cannonballs rushing forward with a whistling sound.

"Boom—"

A huge flame ignited.

The sailboat offered no resistance and was sunk directly.

However, Lairuilei, standing on the china, looked at Drake with dissatisfaction in her eyes.

"Navigator, your duty is to set the navigation route. To eliminate the enemy, I am enough."

"The master gave the order, beautiful lady."

Drake replied mechanically, without any emotion.

Chen Fan looked at Lairuilei with great interest, and then his gaze unconsciously drifted downward.

Lairuilei became instantly alert, turned slightly, and frowned:

"Eliminating the enemy is my duty, please understand, Master!"

Chen Fan raised an eyebrow, "What did you call me?"

"Master."

"I didn't hear you clearly."

Lairuilei's brain stalled for a moment, then she regained her composure and repeated, looking puzzled:

"Master!"

"Eh, good girl."

Chen Fan smiled, patted her head, and pointed forward.

"The enemy has appeared again, this time it's your turn."

However, Lairuilei continued to look at Chen Fan and said coldly:

"I want my weapon."

Chen Fan's arm stiffened, his expression awkward.

"There will be weapons, but right now your task is to eliminate the enemy."

Lairuilei sighed and leveled her compound crossbow again.

That look of disappointment deeply stung Chen Fan's heart.

"Damn it, fifty thousand gold coins, that's too expensive, who can afford that?"

His gaze swept over Lairuilei's full and toned figure, and he couldn't help but nod.

"Hmm... It's not expensive. It's just that I can't afford it."

While he was distracted, Lairuilei had already locked onto a sailboat.

But she didn't rush to shoot, instead observing quietly.

Until a surging wave swept over, a hint of green light appeared in her eyes.

"Whoosh—"

This time, Chen Fan saw it clearly.

Just as she fired, a faint green light enveloped the arrow.

Under the shroud of the light, the arrow's starting speed even exceeded that of the ship's crossbow!

"What is this?"

Chen Fan exclaimed.

Lairuilei rolled her eyes.

If it were in the past, if anyone dared to interrupt her while she was shooting, she would have chopped that person's head off with her own hands.

But now, the person in front of her was her master.

Letting out a long sigh, Lairuilei explained helplessly,

"Favor of the Wind God."

"What does that mean?"

"You can understand it as... a Talent."

Chen Fan nodded; that made sense.

During their conversation, the crossbow bolt whistled through the air.

Just as the pilot was about to maneuver the sailboat to avoid the big wave, an arrow pierced his throat, and he fell into the sea.

The huge wave crashed down, and the unmanned, listing sailboat capsized instantly.

None of the passengers inside the ship were spared.

Just as Chen Fan was marveling, Lairuilei pulled the trigger repeatedly.

Three sailboats were all annihilated from nearly a thousand meters away.

"Impressive, Miss Lairuilei."

Chen Fan exclaimed sincerely.

However, Lairuilei did not reply, looking ahead with a grave expression.

The fog dissipated, and on the horizon, another sailboat similar in size to the china appeared.

Unlike the previous four, this sailboat had a cockpit.

Lairuilei narrowed her eyes, and her brows gradually furrowed.

"It's a pity, if I had the clear wind bow, he wouldn't be able to get close."

Suddenly.

Chen Fan felt a sense of resentment surrounding him.

Feeling a chill, Chen Fan pretended not to hear.

He turned his head and gave Kuka a secret look.

Kuka immediately understood the order.

Waving his hand, the Sailors inside the ghost ship silently adjusted the cannons.

Everything was done covertly and quickly, and by the time the sailboat approached within the thousand-meter range, they were already in position.

Seeing Kuka's look, Chen Fan nodded slightly.

Kuka roared:

"Fire!"

"Boom boom—"

The huge noise startled Lairuilei, making her whole body tremble.

Chen Fan, standing beside her, clearly felt the violent shaking, and the aftermath of the vibration, instantly feeling a bit overwhelmed.

"Don't look, don't look."

He focused on his nose and heart, silently chanting to himself.

Yet he couldn't help but glance out of the corner of his eye, secretly thinking, "What a masterpiece."

Lairuilei glared at Chen Fan, and seeing his nodding, silent appearance, she vented her anger on Kuka.

"You stinky drunkard, why aren't you honestly sailing your broken ship instead of meddling in other people's business?"

Kuka huffed and puffed, not afraid at all.

In the blink of an eye, two cannonballs hit the sailboat.

The heat released by the explosion ignited the sails. Water kept pouring into the large hole blasted into the ship.

Lasting less than three minutes, the sailboat sank to the bottom of the sea.

The sea surface returned to tranquility once again.

After waiting for a while, no more enemies appeared, so it seemed there were only five.

Seeing that it was still early, Chen Fan shrugged and prepared to return to the suite.

His gaze accidentally glanced at Lairuilei.

She was standing to one side, looking at him quietly.

Chen Fan naturally knew her thoughts.

But he didn't have any money on hand, so he could only wait until later.

"Good girl, don't be anxious. When Master has money, I'll buy it for you."

After saying this, without waiting for her reply, he scurried into the cabin.

With a "click," he locked the door and let out a long sigh of relief.

He didn't expect that even with Hundredfold Cash Back, he would still experience the feeling of not having enough money to spend.

Really...

Huh? No! Hundredfold Cash Back!

Chen Fan patted his head and immediately brought up Lairuilei's profile to check if she met the conditions.

However.

[Neutral NPC cannot activate cash back!]

"Fine, whatever."

Chen Fan curled his lips, his hope dashed, and he lay back on the bed.

The second stage was solved in less than ten minutes.

Next, he had to wait for more than fifty minutes.

Regional chat was still sparse with messages, with some players complaining that the sailboats were too fast and arrows couldn't hit them at all.

However, some players had grasped the trick and said excitedly:

"The sailboats only move in an S-shape; everyone just needs to predict their movement trajectory and lead the shot."

"So that's how it is, thanks brother."

"Holy crap, it really is, enough talk, I'm going to sanction him."

Chen Fan nodded slightly; among so many players, there would always be a few with high skill levels, which was not surprising.

He opened the group chat and found it exceptionally lively.

The Five Women, who had a Sharpshooter, didn't even need to do much; they could just sit and wait for the Sharpshooter to show their power.

Looking at their progress, they had also reached the second round of three sailboats.

Chen Fan put his mind at ease, sipped his beer, and sat waiting for time to pass.

Soon, an hour passed.
