292: Chapter 292 This is Street Dance!

Mountain Stone Fault turned and rushed into the backyard of the courier station, moving with the speed of a twenty-year-old lad.

The four players watched this scene, dumbstruck.

"This... this NPC can actually change faces like that?" Little Green Skin muttered.

Chen You crossed his arms, his expression calm.

As long as it has a health bar, it can be killed.

As long as it has a price, it can be bought.

This was the underlying logic of the Source Realm.

The special funds Director Li had provided weren't meant to sit around gathering dust.

Before long, a violent surge of magical fluctuations came from the backyard.

The ground trembled, and accumulated snow rustled as it fell.

"Young hero! Make way!"

Mountain Stone Fault's voice drifted over from the backyard.

Immediately after, a massive snow beast pulling an incredibly exaggerated vehicle slowly drove into the courtyard.

It was a giant RV, ten meters long and three meters wide.

The vehicle body was crafted from dark red Purple Cloud Wood, its surface covered in complex frost-resistance and defensive magic circles.

The windows were inlaid with transparent crystal, through which one could faintly see luxurious beast-hide sofas and thick carpets inside.

Most absurdly, a metal chimney belching steam stood atop the carriage roof.

The four players' jaws nearly hit the floor.

"Is this a freaking caravan shuttle?" The werewolf pointed at the behemoth, his voice trembling.

Mountain Stone Fault ran up to Chen You, rubbing his hands together. The wrinkles on his face bunched up as he smiled, looking much like a blooming chrysanthemum.

"Young hero, what do you think of this 'Snow Realm Spirit Vessel'?"

"This is this old man's prized possession! Purple Cloud Wood body, Tier 3 wind-shielding arrays, and a constant-temperature barrier inside."

He lowered his voice, adding with a mysterious look, "There's even a small kitchen inside."

"I've prepared top-quality snowflake beef and broth; you can even have hotpot in there!"

Chen You raised an eyebrow.

Eating hotpot?

This NPC's service awareness was quite something.

"Fine, this is the one." Chen You pointed to the gold coins on the ground. "Keep the money."

"Ah! Right away!" Mountain Stone Fault nimbly swept the gold coins into his bag, not even bothering with the tobacco pouch he'd dropped in the snow.

Chen You turned to look at the four players who were still in a daze.

"Meeting is fate." Chen You pointed at the luxury RV. "Get on, it's my treat."

The four players shuddered.

The goblin was nearly in tears. "Big boss... you're not just taking us along, you're treating us to a ride in an RV?"

The skeleton used his one remaining hand to frantically beat his sternum. "God You! From today on, my life belongs to you!"

Chen You waved his hand, saying no more.

Hotpot has a strong smell; it should be able to mask the scents of these few.

Everyone filed onto the 'Snow Realm Spirit Vessel' one by one.

The temperature inside the carriage was as warm as a spring day.

The large beast-hide sofas were soft and comfortable. On a mahogany table in the center, there actually sat a boiling copper pot, with sliced snowflake beef neatly arranged beside it.

"This game... can be played like this?"

The ghost player looked at the steaming hotpot, falling into deep self-doubt.

Chen You sat in the main seat, picked up his chopsticks, and dipped a slice of beef into the pot.

"Drive."

Mountain Stone Fault sat in the driver's seat and flicked the reins.

"Sit tight! Heading to Cangxing City, let's go!"

The snow beast let out a low growl and pulled the massive RV out of the station, plunging into the swirling snow.

...

Outside the window, the wind and snow roared like a furious beast. Goose-feather flakes were whipped up by the gale, slamming hard against the Purple Cloud Wood carriage with a series of dull thuds.

Inside the carriage, however, it was a different world.

On a small red clay stove, a brass hotpot bubbled with milky-white broth.

Slices of snowflake beef, cut as thin as cicada wings, bobbed up and down in the soup, releasing an enticing aroma.

The constant-temperature array worked diligently, completely sealing out the bitter cold.

Chen You leaned back on the soft beast-hide sofa, holding a cup of unknown hot tea, looking at the four players before him with a flat expression.

These four were currently in a state of bizarre revelry.

"Wooo... so delicious!" The short green-skinned goblin player stuffed beef into his mouth while tearing up.

The ID above his head was [I Love Forgiveness].

"Eat slowly, no one's fighting you for it."

The hairy werewolf player [Howl Under the Moon] clumsily held his chopsticks with his claws. Though his movements were comical, his eating speed was not slow at all.

To the side, the ghost player [Ghost Knocking at Midnight] looked full of grief and indignation.

He had no physical body and could only hover over the hotpot, vigorously inhaling the rising steam, trying to gain a sense of fullness by "smelling" it.

The most absurd one was the skeleton player with only half a torso left, [Singular Skeletal Structure].

His jawbone clattered as he tossed a cooked slice of meat into his mouth.

The meat slice slid all the way down his empty cervical vertebrae, finally landing with a "splat" on a catch-tray in his pelvis.

He skillfully reached out to pick up the meat, rinsed it with clean water, and threw it back into the hotpot.

"Brother, that's what you call physical recycling." The werewolf watched, eyes wide.

"What do you know? This is called satisfying a craving." The skeleton didn't care. He turned to Chen You, ghostly blue soul fire flickering in his empty eye sockets.

"God You, your great kindness is beyond repayment! You spent so much money to take us poor folks to see the world; I, Bone-someone, really feel bad about it!"

Chen You put down his teacup, his tone steady. "It was on the way, don't worry about it."

He didn't want to get too involved with these people.

His mind was currently full of how to cause trouble in Cangxing City, trigger hidden quests, and harvest massive amounts of experience.

Taking these players along was purely for the sake of his reputation.

He was a celebrity, after all; he couldn't let his image collapse.

But the skeleton player clearly didn't think that way.

"No!" Singular Skeletal Structure stood up abruptly. His movement was so large that a rib on his right side fell off with a "crack."

He casually picked up the rib and stuffed it back into his chest cavity, his tone impassioned.

"Eating and drinking for free isn't my style! God You, the journey is long and it's snowing hard outside. I'll perform something to liven things up for you!"

Chen You's eyelid twitched.

Perform something? Perform what?

Before Chen You could open his mouth to refuse, the skeleton had already walked to an empty space nearby.

He took a deep breath (though he had no lungs), and the ghostly blue soul fire flared up.

"Music!" The skeleton snapped his fingers.

The ghost player [Ghost Knocking at Midnight] understood immediately. He floated into the air and rubbed his hands together, releasing a flickering ball of ghost fire.

The ghost fire flashed with the rhythm, forcefully creating a nightclub laser-light effect in the carriage.

The goblin player [I Love Forgiveness] was not to be outdone. He pulled out two leftover beef bones and began drumming rhythmically on the mahogany table.

"Boom! Da! Boom-boom-da!"

Accompanied by the crude but highly rhythmic drumbeat, the skeleton moved.

First, he struck an incredibly stiff pose. Then, his entire skeleton began to twist in a way that defied biological logic.

"Click! Clack! Click!"

The crisp sound of bone joints colliding perfectly matched the goblin's drumming beat.

He performed an extremely standard popping vibration move. All two hundred-plus bones in his body exerted force simultaneously, as if an electric current were surging through his frame.

Chen You's hand holding the teacup froze in mid-air.

Is this... freaking street dancing?
