327: Chapter 327 Goods from other places are still more effective
"There's something wrong with this bomb," Chen You said with a look of displeasure.
"Impossible!" Hill jumped up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
"Anything Hill produces is a masterpiece! This is high-grade stuff that can blow a black hole open!"
"See for yourself." Chen You opened the item panel and pointed to the line "1 point of forced damage" for her to see.
Hill leaned in for a look, her eyes darting around for a moment before she puffed out her chest confidently. "That's right! What's the problem?"
"You call this a bomb? It's just a giant firework that deals 1 point of damage!" Chen You gritted his teeth.
"Boss, be reasonable!" Hill tapped the counter with a wrench. "What did you say just now?"
"You said you wanted to 'die realistically,' 'leave nothing behind,' 'trigger a phenomenon of heaven and earth,' and 'make it a grand spectacle'!"
"Which of those requirements does my bomb not meet?"
"Aren't the light and shadow effects maxed out? Isn't the phenomenon big enough? Don't you only have 1 HP left right now? Isn't this bomb just enough to blow you away?"
Hill's rapid-fire retort actually left Chen You momentarily speechless.
"Besides," Hill curled her lip, "this is Cangxing City! What decent person would actually set off an anti-matter bomb in the city?"
"If it were the full-power version, never mind you, half the city would be gone! Wouldn't the City Lord skin me alive and use me as a basketball?"
Chen You took a deep breath.
He knew there was no reasoning with this NPC and got straight to the point.
"The range of this bomb is a ten-thousand-meter indiscriminate attack. When I use it, there will be at least tens of thousands of players around."
"I can't hurt them, not even for 1 point of health."
Hill froze for a moment, sizing Chen You up as her gaze turned strange.
"Boss, you're a good person. You're about to die, yet you're worried about your blood splattering on others?"
"Cut the crap," Chen You said coldly. "Is there a way?"
Her eyes darted around, and she tugged at her leather jacket.
"Then... how about some foreign goods?"
Chen You nodded.
"Bring them out. I want something that only creates a spectacle, doesn't hurt anyone, and absolutely has no PVP detection."
Hill bent down and crawled under the counter.
This time, the searching took even longer.
Accompanied by the thuds of heavy objects hitting the floor and a few muffled curses, she finally stood back up.
In her hand was a white jade box engraved with golden runes.
This box was completely out of place with the wasteland heavy metal aesthetic of the Supreme Tower, exuding an air of sacred inviolability.
"Top-tier goods smuggled from the Divine City." Hill carefully placed the white jade box on the counter without making a sound.
"'Collapse of the Heavenly Dao'."
"It was originally a formation core used for large-scale sacrificial and blessing ceremonies, but our people 'modified' it a bit."
Chen You opened the panel.
[Item Name: Collapse of the Heavenly Dao (Specially Modified Wonder Item)]
[Quality: Mythical]
[Item Description: The highest-level sacrificial core from Oracle City, a contraband item illegally implanted with a destruction program. Upon detonation, it will release a holographic law projection covering the entire city.]
[Usage Effect: The sky shatters, and a harmless rain of law blood descends.]
[The detonator will be locked by a Light of Guidance that pierces through heaven and earth, and their body will dissipate into data (forced instant kill of the set target for non-hostile units).]
[Additional Status: All living beings within the explosion range are forced into a two-second 'Shock' stiffness. No damage detection, does not trigger PVP mechanisms.]
[Note: Act the toughest, take the hardest beating. Oh, you're already dead, then never mind.]
Looking at the panel, the tension in the corners of Chen You's mouth finally relaxed.
No damage detection, forced shock stiffness, plus the rain of law blood and the Light of Guidance.
This perfectly met his requirement for a high-profile exit.
Two seconds of mass stiffness would be enough to push the atmosphere to its climax, allowing all onlookers to watch him leave in a state of paralyzed shock.
"How much?"
Hill held up two fingers, then added three more, opening her entire palm.
"Five thousand gold coins, fixed price."
"It takes a lot of connections to get this through security; the cost is extremely high."
As expected, you get what you pay for.
Chen You directly transferred five thousand gold coins.
Seeing her account balance jump, a smile instantly bloomed on Hill's face.
"Boss, a pleasure doing business. I wish you a glorious death that will go down in history."
Chen You put away the jade box and turned toward the training room portal.
However, before he could start grinding mobs, he received another message from Arrow of the Moon.
[Arrow of the Moon]: Guild Leader Chen, did something happen? Do you need help?
Chen You couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
He didn't expect this God Race guild leader to be so concerned about him.
[Chen You]: It's a small matter, just going through the motions.
There was a two-second silence on the other end.
[Arrow of the Moon]: I see, it seems even I can't intervene. But if you need anything, just say the word; at least we can provide more cannon fodder, right?
"..."
Her ability to overthink things was really something else.
[Chen You]: Really, it's not necessary. I'm just doing a quest.
After sending the message, Chen You closed the dialog box and began grinding mobs.
Meanwhile, outside the training room, Cangxing City had completely descended into madness.
World announcements were popping up every ten minutes.
[Experience Spirit Rain].
These three words struck the soft spot of every player.
No need to kill mobs, no need to do quests; you could gain experience just by standing in the city and getting rained on.
Who would want to miss out on such a windfall?
"Stop pushing! Whose crotch is my staff stuck in?!"
"Ow, damn! Who stepped on my foot? These are Epic-tier boots I just bought!"
"Move it, people in front! Holy crap! How did someone crawl out from under me!"
The once spacious teleportation array in the central plaza of Cangxing City was now operating frantically, flashing ten times per second.
Every time the white light flashed, dozens or even hundreds of players were spat out.
The streets were packed with heads; from high above, it looked like countless ants fighting over a piece of candy dropped on the ground.
"Don't push! Don't push! My teleportation motion sickness is kicking in, I'm gonna barf!"
"Blargh—"
"What the hell! Who puked on my helmet! I just got a rare enchantment on this!"
"Move faster up front! The teleportation array is gonna explode!"
The crowd surged like a tide.
On the main road, a three-meter-tall Titan Berserker was being squeezed so hard his feet left the ground.
His prideful strength was useless against the human wave tactics, and he could only wave his thick arms in impotent rage.
"Put me down! Which bastard is touching my thigh!" the Berserker roared.
"Brother, just bear with it. I don't want to touch you either, but I can't get my hand out," a player's weak voice came from below.
Not far away, an Elven Magic Archer's pointed ears were squeezed until they bent ninety degrees.
Her prideful smooth blonde hair was now a bird's nest, and the leather armor on her body had been torn in several places.
Two handprints had appeared on her chest at some unknown point.
"Make way! Guild business! Everyone else back off!"
A team of players with an average level over 50 tried to force an open space in the street.
No sooner had the words been spoken than the tide of people surging from all directions submerged them.
The leading knight, along with his shield, was trampled underfoot, leaving only one hand clawing futilely in the air.
"Business my ass!"
"Trample him! How dare he cut the line!"
The scene was extremely chaotic.
Trampling incidents occurred one after another.
White lights kept flashing in the crowd as low-HP squishy classes were literally squeezed to death and forcibly sent back to the respawn point.
But the respawn point was inside the city.
Players who had just respawned didn't even have time to catch their breath before being swept toward the main street by a new wave of people.
Players were hanging from shop rooftops, streetlamp poles, and even the statues on the outer walls of the City Lord's Mansion.
