293: Chapter 293 Singing and Dancing Again! Hidden Report!
The skeleton danced with increasing vigor.
He suddenly performed a slide; without the hindrance of flesh, his slide was exceptionally smooth, as if his feet were oiled.
Midway through the slide, he came to a sudden stop, reached out to pull off his left arm, spun it around twice like nunchucks, and then precisely snapped it back into place.
"Nice!" the goblin cheered loudly, tapping the tabletop even faster.
The werewolf player, [Howl Under the Moon], stopped gnawing on his bone as he watched this scene.
A fanatical light flickered in his wolf eyes, and heavy breaths snorted from his nostrils.
"This rhythm... this beat..." the werewolf muttered to himself, then suddenly stood up.
He ripped off the tattered hide vest he was wearing, revealing a set of sturdy muscles and thick wolf fur.
"Brother! You've ignited my soul!" The werewolf let out a long howl toward the sky and strode into the center.
The skeleton stopped and struck a provocative pose: "What, you want to battle?"
"To tell you the truth." The werewolf cracked his neck, making a popping sound like beans.
"I was once the uncrowned king of the underground breakdancing scene."
"I too have a dream of dancing!"
Before the words had even faded, the werewolf lunged forward, propping himself up with his hands while his legs carved a sharp arc through the air.
Thomas Flare!
The massive werewolf body spun at high speed in the narrow open space of the carriage, the resulting wind even causing the flames of the hotpot to flicker.
Wolf fur flew everywhere with the rotation; the scene was wild and full of power.
"Holy crap! An ultimate move!" The skeleton was shocked, but then refused to be outdone.
He lay directly on the ground and began performing a Windmill.
Since he was only a skeleton, his resistance was minimal, and his rotation speed was actually a bit faster than the werewolf's.
For a moment, only a blur of white bone and a mass of gray wolf fur could be seen frantically intertwining in the center of the carriage.
The goblin's hands tapping the table moved so fast they left afterimages, and the flickering frequency of the ghost's fire approached that of a strobe light.
"This is street dance!" the skeleton shouted from the depths of his soul while spinning at high speed.
"Awoo—" the werewolf responded with a howl.
Chen You sat quietly in the main seat.
He was expressionless.
In reality, his brain was already dazed.
He carried the heavy responsibility of human survival on his shoulders; he had just slaughtered tens of thousands of undead in Thousand Light City and leveled up several times.
And now.
He was sitting in a luxury RV driven by an NPC, eating hotpot.
Watching a skeleton and a werewolf perform breakdancing in front of him.
And they were actually quite professional.
He put down his teacup and rubbed his temples.
What on earth had he done wrong to have to face all this?
The heat inside the carriage continued to rise.
The red oil soup base in the brass hotpot bubbled frantically.
But this heat was far less than the visual impact brought by those two figures.
The Windmill of the skeleton player, [Singular Skeletal Structure], had already turned into a blur.
Without the weight of flesh, his rotation speed broke physical limits; the white skeleton rubbed against the mahogany floor, even faintly kicking off sparks.
"Awoo!" The werewolf player, [Howl Under the Moon], was not to be outdone.
He suddenly straightened up, exerted force with his legs, and his massive body leaped into the air, completing an extremely wild backflip just under the narrow ceiling.
Upon landing, he immediately transitioned into a powerful one-handed freeze.
The ox bone in the hands of the goblin player, [I Love Forgiveness], banged loudly: "Explosive! Explosive! Brother Howl's one-handed airflare is simply invincible!"
Chen You sat in the main seat, his hand holding the teacup frozen in mid-air.
Just then, another change occurred.
"Boom! Clap! Boom-boom-clap!"
A bit of noise suddenly appeared in the rhythm of the goblin tapping the table.
No, it wasn't noise.
It was a sound coming from outside the carriage.
The heavy and regular footsteps of the Snow Behemoth pulling the carriage had changed at some point.
Every step it took on the thick snow made a crisp "crunch, crunch" sound.
This sound was messy at first, but gradually, it perfectly synchronized with the beat of the goblin tapping the table.
"Crunch! Crunch! Crunch-crunch-crunch-crunch!"
The behemoth's footsteps grew faster and faster, and the entire massive RV began to bounce up and down with the rhythm.
A few drops of the red oil soup base from the hotpot splashed onto the table.
Chen You frowned and put down his teacup.
The werewolf and the skeleton also stopped their movements and looked blankly toward the front of the carriage.
"What's going on? Is there an earthquake outside?" The werewolf wiped the sweat from his face.
Before the words had even faded, an extremely crisp finger snap suddenly came from the driver's seat outside the door.
*Snap!*
Immediately after, an old yet explosive voice pierced through the howling wind and snow, clearly reaching the inside of the carriage.
"Yo! Yo! Check it out!"
The carriage instantly fell silent.
The ox bone in the goblin's hand fell onto the table with a "clatter."
The ghost's fire flickered and then went out.
The skeleton's jawbone dropped onto his ribcage.
This voice... was it that wrinkled, money-grubbing guide, Mountain Stone Fault?
The sound of the wind and snow outside seemed to have become a natural mixer.
Mountain Stone Fault's voice rang out again, carrying a rhythm that made one's scalp tingle.
"This is the coldest street in the Northland, the wind and snow are strong enough to tear bones apart!"
"I've been driving this carriage for sixty years, the rules I've set are firmer than the glaciers!"
"Crunch! Crunch!" The Snow Behemoth's footsteps boomed, providing a heavy bass beat for him.
"Today I met a super tycoon who threw down some cash, the gold coins shone so bright they blinded my eyes!"
"To hell with principles, push them all aside; money makes the world go 'round, that's the crystallization of truth!"
Mountain Stone Fault's voice became increasingly high-pitched and his speech faster, completely entering a fanatical state.
"Purple Cloud Wood wheels crush the defensive lines of ice and snow, the hotpot's steam breaks through winter's bottom line!"
"You're dancing wild steps inside the carriage, while I'm out in the wind flooring the gas pedal to the limit!"
"Skr—"
With a final long note accompanied by a wild roar from the Snow Behemoth, the entire RV suddenly accelerated.
The massive G-force threw the four players in the carriage to the floor all at once.
Chen You sat steadily on the sofa, not even spilling a drop of water from his teacup.
But the shock in his heart was even more violent than the blizzard outside.
Is this freaking RAP?
Or freestyle?
A native NPC old man of the Source Realm, driving a carriage in a blizzard, started street rapping to a bunch of players?
Chen You took a deep breath and put down his teacup.
Could this... be some kind of hidden mode?!"
But he hadn't done anything.
He had only spent a sum of money to rent a carriage and treated four strangers to a hotpot meal.
He hadn't even proactively said more than a few words.
How on earth was this triggered?
Could it be that [Routine Smasher] had kicked in?
"God You..." The goblin climbed up from the floor, rubbing his sore backside, and pointed at the carriage door with a dazed expression.
"Is this NPC... possessed?"
"No." The skeleton clicked his jaw back into place, the soul fire in his eye sockets jumping frantically.
"This is the resonance of the soul! Our dancing has awakened this old man's dormant youth!"
The werewolf trembled with excitement: "This is so hype! This game is so freaking hype! I'm going out to be his backup dancer!"
With that, the werewolf pulled open the inner door of the carriage and rushed out into the howling wind and snow.
"Brother, count me in!" The skeleton followed closely behind.
Chen You sat in his seat and did not stop them.
He watched the three figures twisting frantically in the wind and snow outside the door, listened to Mountain Stone Fault's increasingly wild RAP, and let out a deep sigh.
Just then, a system notification sounded.
"[Warning! Route has deviated!]"
"[NPC Mountain Stone Fault (Special State) has been activated. The route has deviated from the established main road.]"
