203: Chapter 203 Hueco Mundo Travel Group Assembles
Mia forced the issue, making Ikkaku give Kurosaki Ichigo a "newbie gift pack." During the battle, he taught him quite a lot.
But Renji Abarai, who came after, wouldn't be so easy to deal with. Ichigo would likely suffer a major setback.
But regardless, he's the protagonist of destiny; his luck shouldn't be too bad.
After leaving the meeting in Captain-Commander Yamamoto's office, Mia expressed her gratitude to Byakuya Kuchiki, Sajin Komamura, Shunsui Kyoraku, Jushiro Ukitake, Soi Fon, Toshiro, Kenpachi, and Retsu Unohana, who had supported her during the meeting.
She also presented them with small gift boxes of her handmade snacks.
To everyone's amusement, Shunsui Kyoraku quickly tore his open to see if there was alcohol inside. Upon finding a sealed small bottle of sake, he satisfiedly exchanged a few pleasantries with Mia before flying off to find a place to sneak a drink.
Mia's handmade high-purity liquor was now worth its weight in gold in the Soul Society.
The new decree she proposed was implemented as she had hoped.
Shiba Kuukaku, the younger sister of the Shiba family, had been waiting outside the 1st Division's gate for a long time. She thanked Mia for using the implementation of the decree to help her uncle get pardoned.
Mia rubbed her head and said with a grin that it was no problem.
She handed over the research results previously obtained from the former 12th Division Captain Kisuke Urahara (who had already fled to the Living World to help the Visored) to Byakuya.
Rukia was also pardoned due to the Seireitei's new policy. Mia picked her up from the Punitive Force's high-security prison cell and sent her to the Kuchiki Family.
After all, with the combat power of two generations of 6th Division Captains, there was hope of protecting this silly girl.
Once everything was ready, Mia released her Hell Butterfly and found the scientific madman everyone in the Soul Society kept their distance from—Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
She handed him the Captain-Commander's written order.
Nemu Kurotsuchi took it and presented it to Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
"Want to go to Hueco Mundo? Using my technology." Mayuri Kurotsuchi crushed the order in his hand.
"Yes, exactly! I'll give you some new research directions and provide some technical guidance while I'm at it..." Mia rarely spoke to people in an arrogant tone, but this was an exception.
"Interesting. You've successfully piqued my interest. If what you give is worth researching, it's not out of the question."
In Mayuri Kurotsuchi's eyes, science was supreme; he didn't feel any dissatisfaction with Mia's attitude.
Of course, the premise was that what Mia brought out was indeed worth researching. Otherwise, he was perfectly capable of turning on her with a blade in an instant.
Years of guiding pharmaceutical production in the 4th Division had already brought Mia's Alchemy to the Master level.
She unfastened a small lead vial from the metal chain at her waist, which contained a deep blue liquid.
"This, if drunk, can resist the damage of Black Coffin. If it's the Black Coffin you use, I can guarantee you'll be unharmed. I can't make that guarantee for Aizen's." Mia teased Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
"Good, but not enough." Mayuri Kurotsuchi didn't get angry at Mia's slight.
The market-style haggling began...
In the end, the two reached an agreement. Mia would take a data collector provided by Mayuri Kurotsuchi to gather information on the Arrancars.
In exchange for the samples of Shadow Protection Potion and Flask of the Titans she had shown him, along with the potion recipes to be paid upon her successful return, she would get a suitable landing point in Hueco Mundo (one where they wouldn't be surrounded the moment they crossed the gate).
Mayuri Kurotsuchi was an honest businessman and quickly set up a special Senkaimon for Mia's group to use.
Mia, Tuaner, Ryan, Xiaoya, and Loran, who had just been transferred back from the Maggot's Nest, were ready to go...
...With a ripple like water, the group successfully appeared in a small, inconspicuous corner at the bottom of Las Noches.
Xiaoya immediately expanded her Perception Barrier and Perception Link. Turning the power to the maximum, the vast space was revealed to everyone's eyes.
"Did Aizen graduate from an architecture school? Or is he a failed art student too?" Tuaner's sharp tongue was always on point.
"I have to say, this Las Noches is full of a sense of the future and technology." Ryan rarely played along with Tuaner.
"Las Noches has complex detection and warning systems inside; any intruder's movements will struggle to escape surveillance. Everyone, be careful." Xiaoya's mental voice appeared in everyone's minds.
"Yeah, I looked at the structural diagram you sent. The internal structure of this building seems to be variable." Mia was a bit puzzled.
"It seems so. Let's explore cautiously first. Eh? Kaname Tosen's Spiritual Pressure... Should I link him in, Sister Mia?" Xiaoya's soft, sweet voice felt like a breath in Mia's ear.
"Sure. After all, he's drunk a lot of Mia's bathwater; he's already one of us." Mia felt a bit awkward saying this; it proved she wasn't a qualified Succubus.
"Master! How did you and your companions come to Las Noches?" Kaname Tosen's usually calm voice actually had a ripple of emotion.
"To rescue those three hostages from the Shiba family. Since Kurosaki Ichigo has already invaded the Seireitei, they probably aren't of much use anymore, right? Does Aizen still value them?" Mia asked.
"Yes, Master is correct! However, they have all undergone Hollowfication..." Kaname Tosen's flattery was so direct it left Mia a bit at a loss.
"I'll handle the troublesome parts. Can you tell me their locations?" Mia's tone was so gentle it could kill a cat.
"Certainly. Master's Kido is truly breathtaking. Let me familiarize myself and mark their locations on this miraculous map."
"Thanks for the hard work. Just keep lying low and don't do anything. That includes moving the Arrancars off our path—don't do that either." Mia repeatedly cautioned him.
"And also, Kaname Tosen, don't call me Master. It feels weird." A hint of blush crept onto Mia's pretty face.
"Very well. Lady Mia, I shall take my leave then." Kaname Tosen's voice returned to its calm state.
Mia and the others looked at the virtual map markers in their minds, realizing they were currently in the underground section of Las Noches and had to pass through the territories of Arrancars numbered above 100.
Also, Kaname Tosen mentioned that Aizen had taken Gin Ichimaru to the Soul Society, likely to seize the Hogyoku inside Rukia.
There was still a chance of winning this operation. She hoped Kenpachi, Ikkaku, and Yumichika, who were staked out at the 6th Division's gate, could give them a surprise. Oh right, and Captain Unohana was there too.
...Tuaner started her old trade from Goblin Slayer, taking charge of destroying surveillance and triggering traps. These skills learned from the Elf Girl finally found their use.
The whole squad traversed a short, safe distance, but the door ahead of them was now impossible to bypass.
There was a prominent mark on the door: [No. 103].
"Who's up?" Ryan chuckled, looking at Mia and then at Tuaner.
"If I remember correctly, it's a middle-aged guy with a handlebar mustache, right?" Tuaner was brainstorming the original work she had read.
"Yes, he's skilled in kicks and hand-to-hand combat. His Cero isn't bad either." Mia listed his traits with ease.
"You do it. I only have feelings for you. Although I could use those shameless tricks I use on you to defeat this guy, just thinking about it makes my stomach turn." Tuaner waved her hand dismissively, as if shooing away a fly.
"Alright... ヽ( ̄д ̄;)ノ" Mia pushed open the door marked [No. 103], and a Cero came flying right at her face...
