85: Chapter 85 Lü Ci visits

Mia thought things over as she walked; by her calculations, Lv Ci would be arriving soon.

Aunt Yu was leading Zhang Wang, Yang Lie—who had just experienced the Battle of Mount Mian—Xu Xin, and Dong Chang in circles around the periphery of the Tang Clan's Flower Sea Mountain as decoys. Behind them, poisoned ninjas were falling from the trees like dumplings into a pot.

Aunt Yu still had her grievances about Tang Mingyi dying on the Mount Mian battlefield. However, the murderous intent behind her forced her to temporarily stop her grumbling. Leading the pursuing group were a man wrapped entirely in bandages and a man wearing a fedora and a trench coat.

The two sides had just finished exchanging threats that neither could understand and were about to settle it with their hands when this group was intercepted by another group of men in black.

Except for the man in the fedora and the bandaged man, the rest of the Ninja Group had been completely wiped out. The methods used by the attackers were so mysterious that Xu Xin and the others couldn't discern their origins; Dong Chang suspected they were from the Whole Unity Sect.

At that moment, the fedora man and the bandaged man attacked the mysterious man simultaneously, with several bandages and sharp blades flying toward him. The man swayed his body and dodged every attack.

Then, he released blue Qi from both hands and grabbed the bandages. His Qi traveled along the bandages and counterattacked the bandaged man, sending him flying. Seizing the momentum, he stepped on the ground, and blue Qi attacked the fedora man's right foot from underground, causing the injured man to lose all mobility.

Aunt Yu said to Yang Lie, Dong Chang, and Xu Xin from the side, "Our Tang Clan has little contact with other sects outside of business dealings, so it's normal that you don't recognize them. But have you heard of the Twin Jades of the Lv Family? This man is the seventh young master of the Lv Family, Lv Ci."

Knowing that the other party was from the Lv Family, Xu Xin started cursing and was about to go settle scores with Lv Ci, only to be stopped by two men in black from the Lv Family. The two men first apologized to Xu Xin, hoping he wouldn't disturb their seventh young master; as for what Xu Xin wanted to do, they wouldn't hit back or talk back.

This infuriated Xu Xin, but he was gently pulled back by the back of his collar by Aunt Yu, lifted away like a little kitten.

Aunt Yu said the other party wasn't interfering in the Tang Clan's business but had simply run into ninjas while walking. It was self-defense, after all—everyone understands, they understand.

At this time, Lv Ci used Ruyi Strength with great ease. With a single move, [Returning Heaven], he knocked the fedora man and the bandaged man to the ground in an instant, leaving them completely unable to get up.

Several men in black then restrained the fedora man, forcing him to hold his head up and watch as Lv Ci literally 'tore the bandaged man into ten thousand pieces.'

The fedora man was shaking like a sieve. Lv Ci said to him in Japanese, "Remember my face. Tell your people to come find me, and tell that demon of yours to come find me. Now, get lost!!"

He signaled his men to release him. The fedora man seemed to awaken the fastest speed of his life, vanishing in an instant.

By then, Uncle Ying and the others had finished cleaning up the Ninja Group and returned to regroup with Aunt Yu. The group camped in the outer mountains for the night, with Lv Ci and his men still following behind.

Uncle Ying followed the mountain entry route Mia had planned for everyone and returned to the Tang Clan's mountain gate. Lv Ci and his group also followed to the gate, waiting there to request an audience with the Old Sect Leader. They weren't deeply poisoned by the Rose Poison. Uncle Ying distributed the antidote to them and warned them not to think they could resist the toxin just because they were talented; several 'prodigies' had already succumbed to it and were still recovering in the Tang Clan.

After Aunt Yu explained the situation to the Sect Leader, she went to visit the First Master before rushing off excitedly toward Mia.

Upon meeting, she started hugging and cuddling, making Mia begin to question her life. Was this woman Tuaner's past life? Aunt Yu laughed at Mia's awkwardness; this was probably the greatest joy in her life—secretly delighting in seeing others in a bind.

Lv Ci still used his pre-planned method to trick the newbie Xu Xin. In the end, the two stubborn guys played that game of 'will you strangle me first or will I poison you first.'

When Lv Ci took his detoxification medicine, Xu Xin held him back and wouldn't let him go to the latrine. Only after Lv Ci had to go dozens of times was the matter settled.

Lv Ci was called to the mountain gate by the Old Sect Leader to wait for a guest. Standing at the entrance were the Old Sect Leader, a Tang Clan Elder, and a beautiful young girl he didn't recognize. Lv Ci asked in confusion, "Who could possibly warrant the Old Sect Leader greeting them at the mountain gate?"

"Some guests cannot enter the mountain, so we can only meet here..." the Old Sect Leader whispered without turning his head.

A figure appeared at the foot of the mountain gate. A disciple received a letter from his hand and handed it to Uncle Ying.

Uncle Ying read the letter and said to the Old Sect Leader, "It's a challenge, and also a list."

The visitor asked, "The one in the middle must be the Sect Leader of the Tang Clan, Mr. Tang Bingwen, right? Our Bihe Mountain has clashed with your noble sect many times. We truly cannot bear to see more casualties on both sides, but our conflict must have a resolution. Therefore, I propose a duel of ten people from each side. The side that eliminates the other's ten people while still having survivors shall be the winner. If Bihe Mountain loses, we will never again be enemies with the Tang Clan and will never set foot on your land again."

The Old Sect Leader asked, "And if we lose?"

The visitor smiled, "Only one thing is needed to resolve our conflict: your head, Sect Leader Tang, or the head of that Rose Demon I have yet to meet."

The Old Sect Leader laughed and said, "Even if we lose, one head in exchange for everyone's peace is a fair bargain."

Uncle Ying quickly interjected that the mountain caves in Jilin were too far away; even for a duel, we should choose the location.

The visitor mocked Uncle Ying, saying that no matter how far it was, it was still your land. If you are truly uneasy, you can invite grand figures from other sects to witness it; we don't mind at all.

The Old Sect Leader said calmly, "Integrity is most important in life. Although we are enemies, we still hold basic respect for you as human beings."

The visitor expressed great gratitude for the Old Sect Leader's trust. He introduced himself as Wakasahara Chube, one of the ten, and said he looked forward to a life-and-death duel with them.

The Old Sect Leader looked at the challenge and said, "Fine, I agree. We will discuss the details further. Go rest at the foot of the mountain for now; once we have signed the challenge, I will have it sent back with you."

"Who is this Lay Buddhist Erli on the challenge?"

Chu Byei hurriedly replied, "He is our new leader. He will be there to witness it when the time comes."

Just as the Old Sect Leader was about to see the guest out, Lv Ci couldn't contain himself and asked about Eita. The name Nikaido Eita was etched deeply into Lv Ci's heart.

Mia hadn't spoken the entire time, quietly watching Wakasahara Chube—or rather, Lay Buddhist Erli's performance—with a faint smile in her eyes.

This gave Wakasahara Chube a feeling of being seen through, which was very uncomfortable. He hastily bid farewell to the members of the Tang Clan and turned to walk down the mountain.

The Old Sect Leader turned to look at Mia. "Girl, is there something you can't say? Yesterday, you several agreed to become Enshrined Elders of our Tang Clan. First-class Inner Sect Enshrined Elders receive much better treatment than those at Longhu Mountain."

Uncle Ying stifled a laugh, watching the Old Sect Leader's unsettled state.

Mia opened her crimson lips slightly. "He, Wakasahara Chube... is Lay Buddhist Erli..."
