219: Chapter 219 The Fall of Hueco Mundo and the Girl Who Disappeared from the Mirror
...Las Noches, Corridor of Night.
Moonlight filtered through the crystal dome, casting intersecting shadows on the cold stone floor like a giant spiderweb. Aizen's figure moved slowly ahead, with Inoue Orihime following closely behind, her snow-white skirt brushing the ground with a lively arc. Her pale golden eyes burned with a near-maddening adoration.
"Lord Aizen," she suddenly reached out and grabbed his sleeve, her fingertips turning white from the force, "You said tonight you would make me yours. Is it true?"
When Aizen turned, he saw the girl's undisguised, morbid obsession in her eyes. Those pupils once brimming with gentleness now held only a fanatical yearning for him. The hexagonal hair ornament in her hair shimmered with a sinister red light, as if accompanying this twisted Piety.
"Of course," he raised his hand to stroke her golden hair, his fingertips tracing the Hollow hole on the back of her neck, "But you must prove yourself worthy."
Orihime immediately straightened her spine like a devotee awaiting a reward: "I've already proven myself! I killed Chatot with my own hands. I am willing to eliminate all obstacles for you — including that arrogant fool, Kurosaki Ichigo!" She suddenly rose on her tiptoes, pressing her cheek against Aizen's palm, "Please, my Lord, make me your possession."
The moment the bedchamber doors opened, Orihime practically threw herself inside. She deftly untied and discarded her zanpakuto onto the carpet, and by the time she turned around, she had already undone the sash of her skirt. The white fabric cascaded open like flower petals. Aizen sat on the edge of the bed watching her, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"See," Orihime walked barefoot across the carpet, each step deliberately seductive with girlish intent, "I have offered myself completely to you." She suddenly knelt between his legs, her fingers boldly tracing his chest, "Your spiritual pressure... everything about you drives me wild, obsessed."
As soon as Aizen's fingers touched her chin, Orihime tilted her head back and kissed his lips. The girl's kiss was desperate, urgent; her teeth even broke his lip. As the taste of blood spread between them, her breathing grew even more ragged.
"My Lord," she licked the blood from his lip, her gaze hazy yet fervent, "Make me completely yours. Let me become one with you."
When Aizen's spiritual pressure flooded into her body like a tide, Orihime let out a sigh of satisfaction. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her body fully against his. The once-soft form of the girl now coiled like a greedy serpent, every inch of her skin craving Aizen's touch.
"What is Kurosaki Ichigo," she murmured between gasps, her nails digging deep into Aizen's back, "Only you are the true god..." As she spoke, all human light vanished from Orihime's eyes. The consciousness of the original Inoue Orihime had been completely devoured by the hypnosis of [Kyoka Suigetsu].
As the tide of spiritual pressure receded, Orihime slumped in Aizen's arms like a boneless cat, the hexagonal hair ornament in her hair glistening with beads of ambiguous sweat. Aizen leisurely buttoned his shirt, his fingertip brushing the Hollow hole on her neck, now glowing red: "Since you're so eager to prove yourself, accompany Grimmjow to the World of the Living."
Orihime abruptly pushed herself up, the skin on her chest still marked by the searing spiritual pressure, yet her eyes instantly ignited with the flames of battle: "You mean... you want me to deal with Kurosaki Ichigo personally?"
"No rush." Aizen picked up her hexagonal hair ornament from the bedside and slowly slid it back into her sweat-dampened hair. The cool metal touched her scalp, and Orihime closed her eyes in pleasure. "You just need to watch from the sidelines. See how much weight his so-called growth truly carries." He flicked the ruby on the ornament with his finger. "And, incidentally, let Grimmjow know who truly holds sway over the battlefield."
Orihime immediately knelt upright, her pale skin glowing with a pearlescent sheen in the moonlight. She grabbed her scattered clothes and hastily pulled them on, the fanaticism in her eyes burning brighter than before: "As you command, Lord Aizen! I will not disappoint you!"
Turning to leave, she stumbled, bracing herself against the wall without looking back at Aizen, then rushed towards the transfer chamber with unsteady steps. The rapid echo of her footsteps filled the long corridor.
Aizen picked up the goblet from the bedside. The crimson liquid reflected his profound gaze.
"Can such a cruel ending accelerate your growth, I wonder? Kurosaki Ichigo? I'm looking forward to it..."
...World of the Living, Mia's Villa Training Grounds.
As Grimmjow stepped out of the Garganta, flying debris gouged shallow pits in the ground. He shook his jade-green hair, his emerald eyes sweeping over the figure in the center of the training grounds, a cruel smirk twisting his lips. Behind him, a white figure landed gracefully — Inoue Orihime. She straightened her skirt, disheveled from the transfer, adjusted the zanpakuto at her waist used for Resurrección, her hexagonal hair ornament gleaming coldly in the setting sun.
"Kurosaki Ichigo!" Grimmjow's roar echoed through the villa. "Stop hiding in your little woman's nest playing house."
Ichigo was doing one-handed push-ups, the twenty-fold gravity seal causing his muscles to bulge with each lift. Hearing the voice, he didn't look up immediately. He slowly rose, grabbing Zangetsu from where it was planted in the ground. When he saw the newcomers, his pupils constricted sharply: "Orihime? What are you doing here?"
Not a ripple of emotion crossed Orihime's face, only icy killing intent: "Kurosaki Ichigo, don't call me by that disgusting name. I belong to Lord Aizen now. I am here to witness your destruction."
Ichigo's heart felt as if it had been violently wrenched, replaced immediately by rage: "What has Aizen done to you?!"
Grimmjow waved a hand impatiently: "Enough chatter. Let me finish him quickly."
"Perfect timing." Ichigo suppressed the turmoil in his heart, cracking his stiff neck. "I was just wanting to test the results of my recent training."
Grimmjow paused, then burst into wild laughter: "You? A piece of trash like you?"
Before the words fully faded, a jade-green blur was already upon him. Ichigo twisted sharply to the side, Zangetsu grazing past Grimmjow's panther-like claws, the resulting wind shear cutting several blades of grass. Amidst the metallic clang, he didn't retreat a single step.
"Interesting," Grimmjow narrowed his eyes. "Seems that woman didn't waste her time on you."
"Roar, Pantera!"
The moment the jade-green spiritual pressure exploded, Ichigo suddenly dropped low and charged. In the instant Grimmjow's body began to transform, Zangetsu was already skimming past his flank. Though it only broke the surface, it drew a grunt from Grimmjow, caught mid-transformation.
"You're asking for death!" The fully Resurrección-ed Pantera roared, lashing out with his steel tail. The wind pressure it generated plowed a deep trench in the ground. But Ichigo used the air current to leap upward. As he spun in mid-air, Zangetsu's blade shimmered with azure spiritual pressure.
"Getsuga Tensho!"
The moment the blue torrent collided with the panther's claws, a blinding light erupted at the center of the training grounds. Grimmjow was forced back three steps. He looked down at the wound on his arm, disbelief and fury flashing in his eyes.
"You actually..."
"It's not over yet." Ichigo knelt on one knee, Zangetsu in his right hand supporting him, his left arm twisted unnaturally — a bone had cracked from blocking that last strike. But his eyes were incredibly bright. "This is my true training result."
He vanished from his spot.
By the time Grimmjow reacted, the tip of Ichigo's blade was already at his throat. But Pantera's steel tail had simultaneously pierced Ichigo's shoulder. Blood dripped down the barbs.
"Are you insane?" Grimmjow growled. "What's the point of mutual destruction?"
Ichigo's face was splattered with his own blood, yet he smiled: "Who said anything about mutual destruction?" He suddenly tilted his head, avoiding Grimmjow's bite, while simultaneously twisting his wrist. Zangetsu slid up along the seam of the steel tail —
*Clang!*
Pantera's steel tail snapped in two.
Grimmjow stared in disbelief at his severed tail. Ichigo, having used his knee as a springboard, launched himself upward. Spinning in the air, he kicked the broken tail fragment towards Grimmjow's face. Amidst flying debris, the orange-haired youth knelt on one knee, Zangetsu deeply embedded in the ground with his right hand, the wound on his left shoulder still gushing blood.
By the second-floor window of the villa, Mia snatched the bottle of soda from Tuaner's hand and took a swig. Tuaner, munching on chips, clicked her tongue in admiration. "The twenty-fold gravity training wasn't for nothing. He actually pushed Grimmjow this far. Next time, we should aim for training his lower body more."
"Not enough," Mia's gaze fell on Ichigo's trembling right arm. "His Shunpo is still too slow. That last move was a gamble. He almost died."
Orihime stood to the side, watching everything coldly. She suddenly spoke: "Grimmjow, you have betrayed Lord Aizen's trust."
Grimmjow clutched his severed arm, retreating. Green eyes blazing with humiliated fury, he looked first at Ichigo, then at Orihime. "Brat, you've really pissed me off. And you, shut your mouth! Don't stand there making snide remarks!"
"Then come again," Ichigo pulled Zangetsu from the ground, azure spiritual pressure rising once more. "Until you admit I've grown stronger."
...As the battle reached its peak, Orihime suddenly moved. Her figure flashed like a ghost. Her hexagonal hair ornament transformed into sharp blades, attacking Ichigo's flank.
Ichigo's heart lurched. He dodged sideways but still had his sleeve torn. He looked at Orihime, his eyes filled with confusion and pain: "Orihime, are you really going to do this?"
Orihime's expression remained blank: "Your Inoue Orihime is dead. Her consciousness has been completely erased. The me you see now is a new consciousness born from the call of [Kyoka Suigetsu]. Now die!" She controlled several short blades to form a lethal formation, her moves ruthless and without a shred of mercy.
Ichigo, fending off Grimmjow's fierce assaults while guarding against Orihime's sneak attacks, was immediately caught in a dilemma. But the hand gripping his blade grew ever firmer — Mia's gravity training had taught him to maintain balance under immense pressure; Tuaner's lethal attack training had honed his ability to predict every killing intent. Those seemingly torturous special drills had now transformed into the very strength supporting him. He was no longer the boy who needed his comrades' protection.
