60: Chapter 60 Ordinary "Ruby" Grade

"What in the... what kind of... healing... ah!" The female Adventurer's legs suddenly tightened.

Mia, in her bare feet wearing [phantom silk stockings], stepped over the female Adventurer's convulsing body and sighed at her complaint, "After all, I'm just a succubus. How can there be no price for enjoying my healing? Just bear with it..."

Immediately after, she took a running start, jumped, stepped twice on the thick wooden club a Goblin Warrior was swinging down, lightly stepped on his shoulder, clamped his huge head between her feet, and unleashed [Secret Skill: Mia Typhoon]!

With a loud "Thump—", this unlucky Goblin Warrior was flung away by Mia's powerful waist and crashed heavily into the crowd of Goblin Warriors. His cervical spine fractured, and he was clearly beyond saving. Several other Goblin Warriors were also knocked out of commission by his impact.

Seeing that the number of Goblin Warriors still somewhat exceeded her expectations, Mia tilted her head in thought, then raised her right hand.

A magic signal belonging to the Temple of the Earth Mother Goddess ascended into the sky. As previously agreed, the Old Priest would lead the priests and monks of the Mother Goddess Temple to charge out from the facilities previously ambushed in the ranch, directly participating in combat and healing... and Tuaner alone protecting the Cow Girl was almost foolproof.

With all worries cleared, Mia looked back at the anxious silver-ranked Adventurers on the battlefield who were fighting back and forth with the Goblin Warriors.

The tattoo under her collarbone began to glow faintly. She had already released hallucinogenic pollen across almost half the battlefield, but fortunately, the Adventurers had the healing protection of the Temple of the Earth Mother Goddess.

Fighting Goblin Warriors and miscellaneous soldiers became much easier. Most of the time, they only needed to swing their swords at Goblins immersed in illusions.

Many people mumbled, "1 gold coin, 2 gold coins, ...5 gold coins," as they chopped.

Mia cast [Rose Cage] on one of the Goblin Warriors who was entangled with the Spear Warrior and the Water-Slipping Witch, imprisoning a Goblin Warrior wielding a double-headed axe. The Spear Warrior seized the opportunity, slaying the Goblin Warrior he had been fighting for a long time with a single spear thrust, then turned and stabbed another Goblin Warrior in the [Rose Cage] to death. He gave Mia what he thought was a handsome smile.

In Mia's opinion, that smile only showed that the Spear Warrior's teeth were well-maintained. A little further away, the cooperation between the female knight and the heavy sword warrior was quite good, and they were gradually gaining an advantage in the battle.

Mia fought forward for a while longer, and as she was about to cut through the enemy lines, she saw a group of people who shouldn't have been there: the noble knight girl squad who should have been victims in the Goblin stronghold that Mia had cleared out earlier. They were working together effectively, having just taken down a Goblin Warrior, and were now heading towards the next Goblin Warrior.

"Indeed, under the shadow of the Sword Maiden, their growth is unusually fast..." Mia murmured to herself. The outcome of the battle was already mostly clear.

She looked up at the twin moons, "I wonder if Goblin Slayer and the Elf Girl, with two [Holy Light Barrier Lv10] scrolls, can successfully kill the Goblin King?"

"I must go back, find that madwoman, gather more subordinates, and make a comeback!" the Goblin King muttered to himself as he rode his swift horse.

In the dense forest, Goblin Slayer blocked the Goblin King and declared his classic line: "You are just a filthy Goblin, and I—am the Goblin Slayer!"

Goblin Slayer and the Elf Girl brought back the Goblin King's head without incident, holding it high. This moment declared the victory of this battle!

"To our victory, to the ranch, to this town, to the Adventurers, to the help of the Temple of the Earth Mother Goddess, to our Earth Mother Goddess Saintess..." The Elf Girl's gaze swept over the group of injured Adventurers gathered in the Adventurers Guild.

"And, to that eccentric who always talks about Goblins, Goblins, Goblins, cheers!"

Led by the Elf Girl, the Adventurers cheered in unison, raising their bandaged and blood-stained arms, one after another, to drink their cups dry. They had lost count of how many times they had toasted, but the Adventurers didn't mind.

"So, your healing made that female Adventurer lose her composure?" Ryan, sitting in the corner, sprayed wheat juice far and wide after hearing Mia's description. Fortunately, he was the hero of the night, so no one paid much attention.

"How about, I saw Tuaner was also injured just now, why don't you heal her in front of me?" Ryan said, red-faced, with wheat juice still clinging to the corners of his mouth. He completely failed to understand Mia's pitying gaze as she covered her mouth with her evening glove.

His shoulder was patted, and he subconsciously turned around. Tuaner's two "Wham-wham" punches sent him to a very peaceful sleep.

The Dwarf Taoist brought out his secret fire liquor for everyone to drink. A newly joined Adventurer took one sip and immediately passed out, lying stiff on the floor. Beside him, the Lizardman controlled Dragon Tooth Soldiers, dancing a strange dance, enlivening the party atmosphere. The Guild Receptionist scurried around like a spinning top. The Spear Warrior tried to help, but was tapped by the Witch with her long pipe.

Mia elegantly walked with her wine glass to Goblin Slayer, who was sitting in another corner. Tuaner was vigorously digging out a large bag of gold coins he had obtained from hunting Goblins that night from Ryan's armor. She looked up at Mia, then continued her efforts.

"'Silver' ranked Adventurer, Mr. Goblin Slayer, a being that I, a 'Ruby' rank, look up to. Has slaying the Goblin King allowed your tense nerves to relax a little?" Mia asked, looking down on him.

"Mm," Goblin Slayer felt a strange guilt whenever he saw Mia and responded perfunctorily.

"The three of us know your difficulties." Mia glanced at the Cow Girl, "But why haven't you confessed to her yet?" Then she leaned down, as if whispering secrets to a lover, and pressed her red lips to Goblin Slayer's helmet, "You'd even give up your life to protect her and your shared home, wouldn't you?"

A demonic whisper, yet it spoke of childhood sweethearts' feelings.

"Hey, hey, what are you two doing over there?" The Elf Girl's ears twitched. She held her wine glass, blushing, and loudly questioned Mia.

Mia stood up and raised her hands in an innocent gesture, "Didn't do anything, really, ask him."

"Eh... I... I haven't said I forgive you yet!" Tuaner finally claimed Ryan's money pouch. Goblin Slayer looked up at Tuaner, "Mr. Goblin Slayer, can we see what you actually look like? Just a peek, and we'll really forgive you!"

Her words stirred strong support from a group of drunkards. Goblin Slayer turned to look at Mia, seemingly pondering her earlier suggestion, or perhaps asking if Tuaner's words represented the meaning of all three of them.

Mia nodded gently. A faint, almost imperceptible chuckle came from Goblin Slayer's helmet, "Heh—, alright—!"

Under everyone's concerned gazes, he took off his broken helmet that should have been thrown away immediately...

"No wonder he wouldn't show it, he's damn handsome!" Tuaner jumped up and delivered a huge slap to the unconscious Ryan's head, making him throw up...

Mia handed her half-empty glass of red wine to Goblin Slayer, her crimson lips parting slightly:

"As long as you ask, I will help."

"Not just me, all the Adventurers in this town, all of them will help you—"

"Next time, and the time after, from now on, always. As long as you ask, everyone will help you."

Goblin Slayer took the wine glass and drank it all...
