113: Chapter 113 Azu's Undeclared War

Hearing Karl's question, Kara didn't answer immediately. She was walking on the outermost edge of the group, her antennae drooping, the furrow between her brows not having relaxed since they left the courtroom.

When she spoke of self-defense in the courtroom just now, she had already prepared for the worstβ€”such as A-Zu being detained, the caravan being expelled, or even being executed on the spot.

Yet, Commander Chen Mu had lightly ruled it as excessive self-defense and settled it with a fine.

This was too light; it was suspiciously light.

She repeatedly replayed every detail from the judge's bench in her mind, understanding that Commander Chen Mu must have had a deeper meaning behind this, but what exactly was it? She still couldn't guess.

At this moment, Chief of Staff Danzo walked out from a side door, leaning on his cane. Kara immediately stopped talking and hurried over to meet him, her antennae respectfully flattened back into two straight lines.

"Chief of Staff Danzo, what exactly does Commander Chen Mu mean? If he only makes us pay those Blue Star currencies, isn't he just directly condoning us killing people?"

Chief of Staff Danzo slammed his cane on the ground and shot her an impatient look. "You don't even understand this? Commander Chen Mu's meaning is that you can kill people, but you cannot kill too many. Do you understand?"

Once these words were spoken, Karl stood there, stunned.

A-Zu, however, reacted immediately, flashing a sunny smile: "Then what if I go directly to rule them?"

Chief of Staff Danzo let out a cold snort: "Suit yourself. If you can do it, I'll even let you be the Deputy Ball Chief."

After saying this, he tapped his cane on the steps three times, and then his whole body began to fade, slowly disappearing into the air.

A-Zu stood in place, looking at the spot where Chief of Staff Danzo had disappeared, his smile growing wider and wider.

"Kara." He turned his head toward her, his antennae trembling slightly from excitement. "Close the shop. This charade of intergalactic trade, if not for Commander Chen Mu's attitude, wouldn't have needed to be played out long ago."

He shook his neck, his cervical vertebrae making several crisp cracking sounds: "It is time to let this group of lowly Blue Star people realize who their master is."

Kara did not immediately become excited like Karl. She stood where she was, the tips of her antennae trembling back and forth with a tiny amplitude.

"Prince, please do not underestimate the Blue Star humans. I have analyzed their military data online and the intelligence we collected from customers' casual conversations over the past few days."

"If we are going to make a move, there are only five countries on the entire Blue Star capable of threatening us. Therefore, we should use thunderous force to simultaneously make the leaders of these five countries submit."

"Only then will the other countries surrender without a fight."

A-Zu cracked his knuckles until they rattled, then nodded: "I understand. Then we will start with this country. Kara, go find the maps of the capitals of these five countries; I will set off immediately."

"I can't wait. Don't they like to win? Don't they like to boast about their own culture and dignity? Once I rule them, I will destroy all of their history and records, and then personally write the new history I give them."

"Let them learn for generations how to be good slaves to us Planet Wuhu people."

"Exactly!" Karl, on the side, also showed an excited smile. "Do these lowly Blue Star people deserve to walk upright like us? Once Prince rules them, make them only able to crawl from now on."

"Hahahaha!" A-Zu burst into wild laughter again, then opened a window next to him.

Cold wind poured in from outside the window, causing the hem of his tunic to flap loudly.

Outside the window was noon in New York, with sunlight hitting the glass curtain wall of the United Nations Building, reflecting the entire building into a blinding gold.

He stepped onto the windowsill, naturally took a step forward, and began a free-fall motion from the thirty-eighth floor of the United Nations Building.

He kept falling through the air, his tunic puffed up by the wind, his antennae pressed tightly against his scalp by the airflow.

On the ground, there were a few reporters who had just walked out of the building. One of them looked up and saw a black dot falling from the sky, so scared that the coffee cup in his hand dropped straight to the ground.

Less than ten floors from the ground, A-Zu suddenly opened his eyes.

An invisible force exploded outward from within his body, and his whole person stopped abruptly in mid-air, then, without any transition, began to shoot straight upward.

A sonic boom exploded above the United Nations Building. He shot higher and higher, passing through the few wisps of black smoke over Manhattan that had not yet dissipated, through the altitude where seagulls circled, through the clouds, and then disappeared.

Leaving behind only that expanding sonic boom cloud in the sky, and dozens of reporters downstairs who were looking up, still not having reacted to what had happened.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

On the top floor of the United Nations. Commander Chen Mu stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, looking outside. A-Zu's figure had shrunk into a black dot in the sky, so small it was almost invisible; only that slowly expanding sonic boom cloud proved that something had indeed broken the sound barrier above the United Nations Building just now.

He glanced at the system interface; the fear value was jumping up at a rate of several thousand per second, the numbers rolling so fast it was almost impossible to see the single digits.

[Current fear value: 380 million.]

"It seems that letting A-Zu run loose was the right path." He tapped his fingers on the windowsill twice, then turned around, reached out his hand, and spread his five fingers in the air.

A deep blue time mirror unfolded before him. Inside the mirror, the myriad lights of New York were crushed and reorganized, finally freezing in a laboratory with cold white lighting.

He switched to the scene of the Human Renaissance Alliance.

On the fifth basement level of Renhe Hall, Black Panther and Thompson were behind the screen, watching the live broadcast of the trial.

Thompson stared at the ending screen for a moment, and finally couldn't help but speak.

"BOSS, what do you think Commander Chen Mu actually means? One hundred and thirty-seven human lives, and he just let A-Zu pay a fine to settle it? What kind of verdict is this?"

Black Panther did not turn his head, but simply walked to the coffee machine and poured himself a glass of water: "His meaning couldn't be more obvious."

He took a sip of water: "He feels that the recent plot has been relatively dull, so he wants to accelerate the conflict between us and the lion."

"This verdict is a signal to A-Zu, letting A-Zu know that the cage door is unlocked, and at the same time letting us know that the lion is hungry and wants to eat meat."

"Finally, he and his audience are waiting to watch the first official battle between the elk and the lion."

Thompson fell silent.

After a moment, he spoke: "So from Mary Rodriguez posting the video, to the Fifth Avenue protest, to the court trial, it was all setting the stage?"

"The stage was actually already set; he just finally decided to pull the curtain today."

Black Panther placed the water cup in his hand on the laboratory table, stood up, walked over to Thompson, and patted him on the shoulder.

"Comrade Thompson, do not make contact for the next little while. Rest assured and wait to take your post at the Interstellar Police Department. Go back and wait for news."

Thompson was stunned: "What's wrong? Did something happen? Didn't we just receive that 30 million intelligence fee from the CIA the day before yesterday..."

Black Panther did not answer; he withdrew his hand from Thompson's shoulder and turned to walk into the depths of the laboratory.

His back appeared exceptionally straight under the cold white light.

He said softly: "Because our Human Renaissance Alliance is about to officially take the stage!!!"
