117: Chapter 117 I hope we'll meet again next time.

Inside Mary's villa, Peter Parker slammed his phone onto the coffee table and sprang up from the sofa. He pointed at Sima Bei's smiling, chubby face on the screen and shouted:

"Team Leader, he's talking nonsense! When did we ever encourage people to cause trouble at that Special Ability Store?"

"He's pinning all one hundred and thirty-seven lives on you, as if you were the one who pushed them out there!"

Gwen sat on the armrest of the sofa, her fingers sliding across the tablet screen as she scrolled through the real-time comments under Sima Bei's livestream. Her brow furrowed deeper with every swipe.

The comment section was overwhelmed with: "Mary, get out here and apologize!"

["Lord A-Zu already said beforehand that the awakening probability varies from person to person. They willingly spent money to gamble, and after paying and drinking the medicine, they still caused a scene in the shop demanding a refund? What a bunch of idiots! This perfectly fits my impression of the United States' 'happy education'."]

["Your parents really gave birth to a scourge for nothing. You've caused so many deaths, why don't you just go die?"]

["Her parents died long ago. No wonder no one taught her what propriety is. A fatherless, motherless bastard."]

["It's good those two old things died. Even if they were alive, they wouldn't be able to control that trouble-making mouth of hers."]

["Her sister Maya serves tea and water to aliens every day, while she pretends to be a defender of humanity online. One sister is an alien's dog, and the other is a traitor to humanity. A perfect match."]

["A family of immigrant dogs dares to talk about human dignity? Don't you know where your parents swam from? This country took you in, and this is how you repay it?"]

["She's just relying on the fact that her sister is the Ball Chief's Secretary. If her sister weren't the Ball Chief's Secretary, would she dare? She's just acting spoiled because of her connections!"]

["If I were you, I'd tattoo the words 'low-level race' that A-Zu said on my forehead. At least it would prove he spared you a glance."]

Peter Parker suddenly snatched Mary's phone and scrolled frantically, trying to delete the comments one by one. But for every one he deleted, three more popped up. The faster he deleted, the more they appeared, as if he were waving a rag at a leaking pipe that wouldn't stop gushing water.

"Stop looking at these," he said, turning the phone over and placing it face down on the coffee table. "These are all Sima Bei's internet water army, intentionally here to disgust you. Don't look, don't look..."

Gwen was also scrolling through her own phone. The faster she scrolled, the tighter her brow furrowed. Finally, she just slammed her phone onto the floor: "Fuck!"

Mary took the phone from Peter Parker and turned the screen back over.

With her head lowered, she read through all the comments from beginning to end. It could be said that the internet had insulted everything about her, from her parents to her nationality, her race, and even her appearance.

Her eyes reddened as she looked at the comments. She softly said to Gwen and Peter Parker, "You guys go back. I want to be alone for a while."

"Team Leader..."

"Go back," she said, turning and heading upstairs.

Peter Parker wanted to say more, but Gwen held him back and shook her head.

As the two walked out of the villa's main gate, they heard a faint sound of crying from the second-floor room. Peter Parker clenched his fists, and the pupils in his eyes suddenly sharpened for a moment.

Inside the White House, A-Zu leaned back in the high-backed presidential chair, still holding the Old Butler's phone.

The livestream had ended, but the remaining bullet comments on the screen were still popping up one by one.

He had originally intended to just browse casually to see how humans were wailing under the ultimatum, but to his surprise, all he found were comments cursing Mary.

The malice was so deep that even someone like him, who had grown up in the Planet Wuhu's court watching officials trample over each other, was left somewhat stunned.

"Kara," he called out habitually, then remembered that Kara was still in New York.

He could only turn to the Old Butler and ask in confusion, "This Mary person seems to be speaking out for the interests of you Blue Star people, doesn't she?"

"Why are your own people cursing her even more harshly than we are?"

The Old Butler stood before the Resolute Desk, hands folded in front of him. He remained silent for a few seconds before speaking: "Sir, it is precisely because she is one of us that we can curse her so harshly. We cannot do the same to outsiders."

"For instance, when you massacred over a hundred people in our United States today, many people were actually cheering for you."

A-Zu was momentarily stunned, then let out a contemptuous laugh. "Truly a low-level race! We Planet Wuhu people also have internal struggles; we've fought for hundreds of years, royalty killing royalty, nobles killing nobles."

He casually tossed the phone onto the Resolute Desk, laughing so hard he almost teared up. "But we never curse our own kind in front of aliens. That is a talent you have that we don't."

He straightened his back from the high-backed chair and turned toward the screen.

On the screen, Sima Bei happened to send a private message: "Lord A-Zu! How did I do? Rest assured, once I become the Tax Farmer, I will definitely not fail your trust. I will squeeze every last drop of profit from Blue Star for Planet Wuhu!"

This was followed by a row of prayer emojis.

"You can go to the Wuhu Special Ability Store now and report to Kara," A-Zu replied lazily to the screen. "Just say I said so, and that I've appointed you as the Blue Star Tax Farmer."

On the other side of the screen, Sima Bei fell to his knees with a "thud," the sound of continuous kowtowing echoing. "Thank you, Lord A-Zu! Thank you, Lord A-Zu! In this life, I only recognize you as my master!"

A-Zu swiped him away. The Old Butler waited beside him for a moment, then bowed slightly. "Mr. A-Zu, the hour is up."

A-Zu stood up. He casually pushed the high-backed chair aside, walked around the Resolute Desk, and stopped in front of the Old Butler. "That streamer just now, he seemed to be from Dongda, right?"

The Old Butler nodded. "Correct, sir. Judging by his facial features and accent, he should be from a northern province of Dongda."

Having made a decision, A-Zu asked the Old Butler, "Seeing how cooperative you've been, I'm about to destroy the White House. Do you need me to take you out of here?"

The Old Butler lowered his hands and shook his head. "Thank you, sir. I have served in this palace for thirty years. Starting from President Reagan to today's President, a total of seven presidents have signed documents at this desk."

"I wish to serve it until the very last moment."

A-Zu looked at him. After a moment, he asked, "Then do you have any last words?"

The Old Butler placed his right hand over his left chest and bowed slightly, performing a standard White House butler's salute.

As he straightened his back: "It has been a pleasure serving you, sir. I hope we meet again next time!"

"Heh!" A-Zu gave a light chuckle. He suddenly flew out of the window, rising straight up until he was directly above the White House dome.
