230: Chapter 231 That's too kind! Come visit often!

In the banquet hall, the music had stopped at some unknown moment.

Everyone stared, dumbfounded, at the crystal ball. Amidst the flowing light and shadow, there was a 3D model of a resource planet with a diameter of over ten thousand kilometers; the suffocating pressure of such wealth was enough to make everyone's heart burst.

Fifty billion tons of gold? An ocean of liquid Helium-3? This was no longer a matter of money. This was an upgrade from the "richest person on Earth" to a "galactic landlord"!

"Wanqiu, that girl, is really... becoming more and more sensible."

Jiang Chen shoved the crystal ball into his pocket and looked at the heads of state, whose eyes revealed despair, jealousy, and subservience. His mood was at its peak.

He turned around, casually took a glass of champagne from a passing waiter's tray, and swirled it elegantly.

"Everyone, excuse me."

Jiang Chen smiled at the heads of state who were still in a state of petrification, his tone extremely sincere and... infuriating:

"Just a small token from the Wasteland. Mostly, it's because she is too polite; she insisted on shoving some junk they don't use at home onto me, making me feel quite embarrassed."

"Actually, I really have no interest in money."

"Let's interact and communicate more in the future."

"As long as you behave well enough, I wouldn't mind sharing a few... scraps of the ore from this planet with you in the future."

Listening to Jiang Chen's tone, which sounded like he was "bestowing alms upon beggars," the group of heads of state felt angry and anxious, yet helpless. Who would dare to get angry? The man had an entire planet's worth of resources just like that!

Meanwhile, in the corner of the banquet hall, Jiang Qianqian was surrounded by a group of noble socialites. Standing directly in front of her was a silver-haired youth with exquisite features, looking as if he had stepped out of a manga.

The youth wore a gorgeous deep purple tuxedo, his silver hair shimmering with a faint blue luster under the lights. Although he looked young, the aristocratic aura exuding from his entire being was purer than that of any royal member present.

He was the diplomatic prince of the Alpha Centauri System, Caesar.

The way he looked at Jiang Qianqian was as pure as a clear spring, and he held a bouquet of glowing flowers made entirely of unknown crystal ores.

"Qianqian."

Caesar's voice was gentle, like the low hum of a cello, sounding exceptionally clear in the noisy venue.

He gazed affectionately at Jiang Qianqian: "Although our civilization has just arrived on Earth, the moment I first saw you, I felt it... that was a resonance that transcended species."

"I am willing to trade the future of my galaxy for a positive answer from you."

The girls around them were going crazy with envy. This was an alien prince! This was the kind of top-tier, rich, handsome man who could take you across the stars for a vacation, even if it meant abandoning Earth!

"Oh my god, this is just too romantic!"

"Jiang Qianqian, what are you hesitating for? Hurry up and say yes!"

"Exactly! If you miss this, you'll regret it for the rest of your life!"

Listening to the teasing around her, Jiang Qianqian also blushed. She lowered her head, her fingers twisting her skirt hem incessantly, her heart fluttering like a frantic deer. This alien youth was not only handsome, but his gentlemanly demeanor was truly hard to resist.

Just as she was about to shyly nod, "Ahem."

A cough that was extremely cold, extremely gloomy, and sounded like it came from hell, suddenly rang out behind the two of them.

"I say, this... 'distinguished guest' who has traveled from afar."

Jiang Chen walked over slowly, carrying that exaggerated-looking "individual tactical helmet" in his hand.

He looked at the little prince with a fake smile, his eyes filled with the message: "You've got some nerve, kid."

"Are you planning to poach my girl right here on our Dragon Country territory?"

Upon hearing the voice, the alien youth trembled violently, as if he had been targeted by some terrifying predator.

He turned around and saw Jiang Chen's half-smiling face, and cold sweat immediately began to stream down.

This... this was the ruthless man who could even fish up an aircraft carrier! He had actually tried to take away his sister right in front of this "Earth Governor"? Was he tired of living?!

"No... no, Mr. Jiang, you've misunderstood!"

The alien youth quickly stepped back two paces, hurriedly shoved the bouquet of glowing flowers into Jiang Qianqian's arms, and turned to run: "I... I was just here... to deliver a gift!"

"I didn't mean anything else! I was just asking... asking if you need a part-time diplomat!"

"Thinking of running away just like that?"

Jiang Chen leaned against a pillar, staring at him with the look of a man watching a pig root up his cabbage, "Didn't you just say you wanted to trade the future of your galaxy for an answer?"

"What's the matter now? Is your house on fire or are aliens hunting you down?"

"No... no need!"

The youth was on the verge of tears. He glanced at the cold, gleaming holster at Zhao Gang's waist, then looked at Jiang Chen's eyes that seemed to see through everything, and completely lost his nerve.

"I'm here to marry into the family!"

He shouted it out, causing an uproar all around.

"I'm here to surrender!"

"As long as Mr. Jiang nods, our entire clan will move to Dragon Country tomorrow! We guarantee to cooperate with your work! We absolutely won't pull any tricks!"

Watching this kid's ridiculous and subservient appearance, Jiang Chen couldn't help but laugh out loud. These aliens, why were they all so easy to fool?

However, he narrowed his eyes, a flash of deep thought crossing his gaze. Since this kid was from a neighboring galaxy, he must know more about that threat than he did.

"You want to marry into the family?"

Jiang Chen tossed the helmet in his hand onto the table, making a dull "thud." "Sure."

"If you want to be my brother-in-law, you need to have some skills."

"Stop messing around with those flashy flowers all day, it's useless."

Jiang Chen leaned down and whispered into the youth's ear, in a voice only the two of them could hear: "Follow me tomorrow."

"Go and investigate your galaxy's defense system for me, inside and out."

"If you can't find out where that threat is coming from..."

Jiang Chen patted him on the shoulder, the force making the flesh on the youth's face tremble: "Then don't blame me for treating your entire clan like alien sashimi."

"That's what I call—being polite. Don't you agree?"
