274: Chapter 276 Collapse of a God-Level Civilization: How Can These Insects Know Code?

"Error! Error!"

"Logic link broken, unable to parse carbon-based instructions!"

Inside the flagship command center of "The Sweepers," which once overlooked the Milky Way Galaxy and viewed all things as ants, chaos reigned.

That enormous mass of light and shadow, composed of dark matter, was currently flickering at an extremely irregular frequency.

It was wailing.

It was not the kind of cry produced by human vocal cords, but an electromagnetic noise that acted directly upon space-time oscillations.

The sound carried unprecedented terror, like a giant wielding nuclear weapons who suddenly discovered they couldn't even tie their own shoelaces.

"How is this possible!"

"We are a God-level Civilization! We have mastered dimensional collapse technology!"

"Our thought frequencies are sub-light speed!"

The "Skynet" mainframe attempted to reboot amidst constant crashes, "Why... why are the attack methods of these ants so... primitive?"

"Using physical impacts? Using chemical explosives?"

"Why can these child's play tactics lock down our subspace paths? Why... why can I no longer feel the presence of divinity?!"

It could not understand.

In their logic chains, battles were supposed to be confrontations of computational power at higher dimensions.

But now, it was facing a pile of "trash" thrown over by Jiang Chen.

It was a series of extremely crude logic codes, even carrying the distinct "sarcastic flair" of Earth programmers.

Just a moment ago, the instant Jiang Chen pressed that rusted "Law of Causality remote control," it didn't emit any high-energy rays.

It only did one thing.

It forcibly downgraded the "divine logic" of that God-level Civilization—the core code that allowed them to warp reality and manipulate dimensions—into "the instincts of ordinary organisms."

To put it simply.

They used to be gods who could destroy galaxies with a wave of their hands.

Now, they had become "mortals" who only knew how to eat and sleep, and would even trip over flat ground while walking.

"This is the Law of Causality."

Jiang Chen leaned back in his command chair, having produced a new pack of spicy strips from somewhere, tore open the packaging, and took an elegant bite.

"Don't you like looking at data?"

"Then I'll just revoke all those fancy, empty permissions of yours."

"Now, return to the primitive."

He looked at the big screen in front of him.

That God-level mothership, originally elegant, profound, and filled with an indescribable aura of terror, now displayed appalling fragility under the baptism of the Dragon Nation fleet's artillery.

Previously, their armor could withstand neutron star collisions.

Now, a single ordinary armor-piercing shell struck the hull.

"Bang!"

The hard alloy shell shattered into countless fragments, just like a stale biscuit.

"Ahhh!"

Inside the mothership, those particle lifeforms that once maintained high-dimensional computations were now scurrying frantically through the rapidly disintegrating warship, in the most primitive human posture.

They no longer had the ability to move through space.

They no longer had energy shields.

They even... didn't know how to close a door anymore.

Because that was technology belonging to "gods," and under Jiang Chen's Law of Causality lock, they were now just the most ordinary "carbon-based bugs."

"Report, Boss!"

Zhao Gang had completely let himself go; his stockpile of high-explosive ammunition seemed endless.

"Three large holes have appeared in the enemy mothership's engine room!"

"The anti-aircraft artillery has all gone silent! It seems... it seems they are just randomly pressing buttons on the console inside, without the slightest clue which one to push!"

Jiang Chen listened to this battle report and almost laughed out loud.

Was this a war?

No.

This was a one-sided "noob stomping."

It was the kind of top-tier noob stomping where the opponent didn't even know how to use the operating system.

"Tell the gunner."

Jiang Chen casually wiped the chili oil from his lips and flashed that signature, bone-chilling grin at the camera:

"Don't aim for the command center anymore."

"The face of this God-level Civilization is their self-esteem."

"Aim for that... the shiniest part!"

"Break their spine!"

"Understood!"

On the deck of the luan bird, the long-silent star-killing main cannon let out a roar that shook the entire Solar System at this moment.

"BOOM!!!"

A crimson stream of light, like a spear of vengeance, tore through the sky and penetrated the core of the mothership without the slightest suspense.

There was no so-called "shield deflection."

Nor was there any "dimensional dodging."

There was only the purest, most primitive physical explosion.

That mothership, so massive it induced despair, melted completely from the inside out under this strike, like a red-hot candle.

It exploded.

It burst into a dazzling, eye-catching red fireball in deep space, filled with deathly silence.

"Is this the so-called..."

Watching the fragments scattering like fireworks on the screen, Jiang Chen's tone was as flat as if he were watching a cheap special effects show:

"Price of destroying a civilization?"

"Doesn't look like much."

The entire command room was stunned into silence.

They looked at the terrifying mothership on the screen that had completely turned to dust, their minds filled with Jiang Chen's casual remark from earlier: "I say you lose, and you lose."

Is this the Law of Causality?

Is this the "self-defense tool" that looked ragged and even had a bit of rust?

How is this a tool?

This is clearly a cheat code for the universe!

Academician Chen Shuyin walked to Jiang Chen's side, trembling.

She looked at the Law of Causality controller, which had returned to stillness, her eyes filled with unspeakable shock.

As a scientist, her greatest pride was her belief in logic and evidence.

But today, Jiang Chen had burned all her logic to ashes.

"Jiang Chen..."

She swallowed, her voice hoarse, "If this thing were to spread... the balance of the entire Milky Way Galaxy would be completely shattered by you alone."

"The so-called civilization levels, the so-called technological accumulation, to you... they have all become a joke."

"So what?"

Jiang Chen turned around and stuffed the now-cooled "remote control" into his pocket.

His eyes were as cold as an emotionless statue, but his words carried a burning warmth:

"I don't need any balance."

"I only need..."

"My family, my people, and my unborn child to be able to live securely under this starry sky and eat a hot meal."

"That is all."

He turned and strode out of the command room.

Outside the door, Pikachu was standing on a pile of rubble, holding a small piece of an alien civilization control panel it had dismantled from somewhere, munching on it with a crunch-crunch sound.

Its mouth was covered in grease, and when it looked up and saw Jiang Chen come out, it politely held out a chip:

"Pika?" (Is it good?)

"No appetite."

Jiang Chen smiled and flicked its forehead, then turned and walked toward the depths of the warship,

"Keep it for yourself."

"Once we finish cleaning up this bunch of scum, we'll head back."

"Back on Earth, there are still many sweet potatoes waiting for me to plant."

Listening to this, Academician Chen Shuyin was speechless.

This man, just a moment ago, was decisive in killing, slaughtering a God-level fleet all by himself, and now he was thinking about going home to plant sweet potatoes?

He really was... a super cheater that one couldn't help but both love and hate.

"Boss, what about those captives?" Zhao Gang asked, chasing after him,

"These aliens have completely lost their will to resist and are lining up there, waiting for us to turn them into sashimi."

Jiang Chen didn't even look back.

He just waved his hand, his back appearing infinitely broad at this moment, yet filled with an unfathomable depth:

"Since they're useless, don't waste them."

"Pack them up."

"Take them all back."

"Didn't our Mars Base just get built?"

"Perfect."

"We're missing a few... 'high-level laborers' who don't need a salary and can charge themselves."

"After all..."

He walked to the hatch, and took a deep look at the star sector that had once been ruled by them, but had now become his "pasture":

"In this sea of stars."

"Even 'gods' are my livestock."

"If a few mere captives can't do the work well..."

"Then they really will just have to be made into sashimi."

He pushed open the hatch, and against the backdrop of the star-filled sky, Jiang Chen's figure was forever frozen in the nightmares of every alien civilization.

This journey of ascension belonging to Earth civilization had only just unveiled its first true prologue.

And in the void not far away, following the complete destruction of that mothership, a system notification that Jiang Chen had been ignoring finally slowly emerged in his mind:

[Ding!]

[Congratulations to the host: Achievement [God Slayer] has been unlocked.]

[Reward: Universal Code Library access for the entire universe.]

[Next target: Those who attempt to pry into 'The Truth' — the higher dimensions.]

Jiang Chen smiled.

He looked at the boundless, silent universe, his eyes like those of a viewer holding a remote control, ready to switch to a new channel.

"The Sweepers?"

"God-level Civilization?"

"Fine, since you like playing with logic so much."

"Then I will..."

"Rewrite the logic of this entire universe for you!"

He walked into the darkness.

Behind that door lay the even more magnificent, yet also bloodier and more cruel... Interstellar Era.
