254: Chapter 255 Establishment of the Galactic Federation: The Dragon Kingdom Has Veto Power

The parliament hall under the starry sky floated in the orbit of an artificial satellite in Centaurus.

This was not some cramped conference room like those of the United Nations.

It was an interstellar parliamentary center, illuminated by countless small stars, so magnificent it made one dizzy.

Hundreds of alien civilization representatives sat upright in their respective floating seats.

They had varied forms; some looked like soft, flabby slimes, while others were mechanical creatures covered in crystalline armor, and the air was filled with the noisy, electronic sounds filtered through translators.

Directly in front of the hall, on the most prominent central high platform, floated only a single, extremely minimalist master's chair.

That chair was made of yellow pear wood, common on Earth, and thoughtfully placed upon it was an enamel teacup with Dragon Kingdom characteristics, printed with the words "Serve the People".

The person sitting on the chair was, of course, Jiang Chen.

He had changed into a well-tailored Zhongshan suit and looked at the group of trembling alien representatives below with eyes even more indifferent than if he were looking at his own livestock shed.

"Everyone."

Jiang Chen's voice, through the amplification device, created an echo throughout the venue that resembled an oracle.

"Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to come here."

"Today's agenda is very simple."

"We are going to establish the 'Galactic Federation'."

"The purpose is to regulate the market, stabilize prices, and... protect everyone's legal mining rights."

As soon as he finished speaking.

A noisy buzz erupted in the hall.

That was the different understandings of the word "Federation" by different civilizations.

The few envoys from the Eagle Nation delegation, wearing specially made pressurized suits, were currently huddled in a dark corner at the very edge of the venue. They were not admitted as members of the Federation, but were permitted to enter as observers for "Earth Civilization".

To put it bluntly, they were just here to collect their boxed lunches.

"By what right does he get to decide everything alone?!"

The Eagle Nation representative gritted his teeth, looking at that high and mighty master's chair, his eyes bloodshot, "We also have the right to join the Federation! We also hold various patents for Earth!"

"This friend from the Eagle Nation, please be quiet."

Zhao Gang, wearing a brand-new formal suit with the laser pistol specially approved by Jiang Chen hanging at his waist, walked over with an indifferent face.

He held a red invitation in his hand.

"This is the core decision-making area of the Federation; only member civilizations have the right to speak. Your application is still in the approval queue, so please wait patiently at the venue entrance."

"By the way, remember to bring your own lunch at noon. Our base cafeteria is delicious, but we aren't giving you meal tickets today."

Seeing the expression on the Eagle Nation representative's face, as if he had swallowed a fly, Jiang Chen was amused.

These people used to think they were second only to God back on Earth.

Now that they were in space, they actually had to watch the doorman's expression just to get through the door.

This contrast was simply too therapeutic.

"Alright."

Jiang Chen withdrew his gaze from the door and let it fall back onto the group of alien bigwigs, his tone carrying an unquestionable dominance:

"After the Federation is established, there are three rules."

"First, all interstellar routes will be uniformly planned by Chenxing Technology; any unauthorized illegal overtaking will be fined 50,000 units of energy points."

"Second, all trade must be settled using 'Chenxing Coins'; this stuff can not only be used to exchange for spicy strips on the Moon, but also to buy houses on Mars."

"Third..."

Jiang Chen paused, a spine-chilling smile curling the corners of his mouth:

"Regarding all resolutions of the Federation, our Dragon Kingdom holds veto power."

"Simply put—"

"What I agree to, you must do."

"What I do not agree to, if anyone dares to do it, I will directly send my 'Porter' over to 'loosen the soil' of your civilization's administrative center."

These words were too arrogant.

Arrogant to an outrageous degree.

Yet, not a single civilization around dared to jump out and refute it.

Because everyone knew it clearly.

The Dragon Kingdom now is not the country that used to get by on verbal protests.

They have the luan bird, the Curvature Engine, and even that terrifying cheater Jiang Chen, who can use a dual-vector foil as a shovel and no one knows where he came from.

"We... we agree."

The civilization representative that looked like a slime was the first to tremblingly raise a tentacle.

"We also agree."

"Lord Jiang Chen's proposal indeed aligns with the long-term peace interests of the Milky Way Galaxy."

"After all, no one wants to be suddenly blown up by a particle cannon while having diarrhea."

Jiang Chen looked at these alien bigwigs who were frantically giving him the thumbs up, his heart completely unmoved.

These guys, to put it plainly, were all bullies who feared the strong and intimidated the weak.

You talk to them about peace?

They will think you are weak and easily bullied.

You talk to them about rules?

They will think you are insulting their intelligence.

Only when you are holding a knife in your hand and smilingly ask them "Would you like some braised pork?" will they suddenly become exceptionally reasonable.

"Very good."

Jiang Chen stood up from his seat, overlooking this grand scene of ten thousand races coming to pay homage, and that absurd sense of satisfaction belonging to the "Village Chief of the Milky Way Galaxy" reached its peak at this moment.

"Since everyone has reached a consensus, the meeting is over."

He turned to look at Academician Chen Shuyin and Zhao Gang behind him.

"Old Chen, go back and upgrade the interstellar trade settlement system, and print some more Chenxing Coins."

"Old Zhao, have all the spaceships brought by those alien princes refitted for me."

"Since we are now the Galactic Federation, we can't be without a decent fleet of official vehicles."

"In the future, when we go on business trips, we need to have style, understand?"

As he spoke, he walked toward the exit.

Just as he was about to walk out of the hall and completely leave this group of interstellar bigwigs behind, he suddenly stopped again.

He turned his head and looked at the slime civilization representative who was still struggling to learn Mandarin and trying to please him, smiling kindly.

"By the way."

"That slime brother."

Jiang Chen patted its tentacle, "You ate quite a lot of that hot pot base just now."

"Remember to practice our Eighth Set of Radio Gymnastics when you go back, especially the final stretching exercises."

"Otherwise..."

Jiang Chen added meaningfully:

"If your bloated slime bodies are recruited by me to mine on Mars."

"If your movements are too slow, your wages will be deducted."

After speaking, he strode out of the hall.

Leaving only that group of dumbfounded alien bigwigs looking at each other in the wind.

Mining?

A dignified Level 3 civilization, going to Mars to mine?!

Is this still that high and mighty "God Jiang"?

Why does he look... even more unscrupulous than those people in the black market?!
