265: Chapter 267 Who is the Keeper? A God-Level Civilization?

"Boom—!!!" Following that declaration from deep space, the entire edge of the Solar System erupted into chaos.

This was no ordinary battle. This was a dimensional strike!

In the previously silent, dark void, thousands of metal rings with diameters exceeding a kilometer tore through space and emerged without warning. They were like metallic behemoths crawling out of the abyss, lacking any thrusters, simply floating silently with a dark purple light flowing around them that made one dizzy at a single glance.

This was the fleet of The Sweepers. That God-level Civilization which styled itself as the gardener of the universe, taking pleasure in harvesting low-level civilizations.

"Warning! Warning!"

"The luan bird's energy shield is experiencing high-dimensional logic interference! Shield integrity is dropping at a rate of 5% per second!"

Academician Chen Shuyin's usually cool and calm voice was distorted by extreme tension. Her hands hammered furiously on the console; on the holographic display, those thousands of metal rings were simultaneously locking energy waves onto the warship.

"That's not a laser."

Academician Chen Shuyin looked up at Jiang Chen, her eyes behind her lenses reflecting the blinding red light, her voice trembling: "That is an antimatter disintegration stream."

"As long as it touches us, the atomic structure of the hull will instantly collapse, leaving not even a speck of dust behind."

Jiang Chen didn't speak.

He watched the frantically flashing threat readings on the screen, but his lips held no trace of fear. He simply gripped that rusty "Law of Causality remote controller" in his hand again and tossed it lightly.

"This is what they call a higher civilization?"

Jiang Chen turned his head to look at the group of alien envoys in the command room who were pale with fright, and sneered, "You don't even bring a gift when saying hello? That's very rude."

Before those alien envoys could respond, those thousands of metal rings suddenly lit up simultaneously with a cold, bone-chilling dark blue light.

"Hum—"

This was the overture of destruction.

Thousands of hair-thin beams, carrying the screeching sound of space tearing apart, blasted accurately from all directions toward the luan bird.

Even the luan bird, hailed as an interstellar warship, seemed so fragile in the face of this terrifying strike.

"Hold on!"

Jiang Chen slammed a foot down onto the deck, forcibly detonating the "divinity dimension" within his body. Endless golden particles surged out instantly, forcefully pouring into the ship's core energy chamber.

"You better hold on for me!"

He roared, his eyes like a frenzied lion.

"Boom!"

Blinding light flooded the entire command room; it was the violent collision of antimatter and high-dimensional energy. Although the luan bird was shaken and shifted several kilometers, that beam representing "God-level destruction" was actually forcefully blocked outside the energy shield!

Inside the command cabin, the alarm wailed heart-rendingly.

"Jiang Chen, it's not working!"

Academician Chen Shuyin wiped the blood from her face, watching the modules with rapidly soaring damage rates, "The opponent is a Level 6 Civilization! We are only Level 2! The technological gap is too vast; this defense net can't withstand a few rounds of attacks!"

"Level?"

Jiang Chen looked at the chip displaying [0.0001% compatibility] and then at his own cheat-like equipment. He smiled. Arrogant, overbearing, and filled with a complete madness.

"Is a Level 6 Civilization impressive?"

"In my game, they are nothing more than a bunch of abacus beads holding calculators."

He walked to the command console, looking at the dense crowd of enemy ships preparing to initiate a second round of bombing, and pressed his finger directly onto that rusty Law of Causality controller.

"The reason they are strong is because they haven't met someone unreasonable yet!"

"Old Chen, open all computing power channels for me! I'm going to give this bunch of so-called 'The Keepers' a tutorial on what 'Law of Causality' is!"

Following his order, the air seemed to freeze at that moment. That stillness was not just in space; even the flow of time became sluggish.

Those alien motherships preparing for the second volley had all their gun barrels fixed in place. Their AIs and their high-dimensional processors were forcibly tampered with at the underlying command level by an invisible force in that instant.

On the screen, the red dot that had originally locked onto Jiang Chen suddenly and eerily turned into a pink... "heart." Yes, a heart. It was even bouncing on the screen.

"Warning! Logical command abnormality detected!"

"Weapon systems have been forcibly switched to... social greeting mode!"

That massive mothership even spun in a circle on the spot, seemingly attempting some kind of clumsy "Yangge dance" test.

"What... what is this?!"

"Why would my control core launch... heart codes at that native?!"

Those high-ranking officials of the alien civilization let out desperate screams in their command room; they were completely unable to understand why their most powerful war weapon had suddenly turned into a disco tool.

Jiang Chen watched that crazily spinning mothership, feeling that rusty remote controller in his hand that possessed the power to dictate the life and death of all things, and the last bit of suppression in his heart was completely released.

"Still want to sweep me?"

Jiang Chen looked at the video lens, at that God-level master brain that was in complete chaos and attempting to restart its system, and revealed a gentle yet cruel smile: "Didn't you say this Solar System is a farm?"

"Well now, it's my turn to keep you."

"Dismantle all the weapons on your ships for me."

"Convert them into disco balls."

"I'll give you three minutes; whoever is slow..."

He paused for a moment, his tone flat: "I will have their chip burnt to a crisp on the spot."

That group of interstellar civilizations with hundreds of thousands of years of glorious history was collectively struck dumb in that instant.

They looked at the man in front of the screen who was eating potato chips while casually toying with fate, and finally realized one thing. How was this prey? This was simply a terrifying Great Demon King wrapped in human skin!

"Retreat! Retreat! This planet is toxic!"

"Don't come over here again! This man named Jiang Chen is not a civilized organism at all!"

"That is a nightmare!"

That was an incomprehensible nightmare!

Countless warships turned around in this instant, not even hesitating to crash into their own companions, just to escape this damned devilish star sector that could turn war into square dancing.

But Jiang Chen didn't let them off just like that. He opened the communication channel and spoke directly to the panicked fleet in a provoking tone: "In such a rush to leave?"

"You haven't paid the bill yet."

"The 'Law of Causality' service fee just now is ten billion energy points per head; if a single cent is missing..."

"I'll make your entire race have diarrhea for the next life!"

The call ended. The command room was dead silent. Everyone looked at Jiang Chen as if looking at a true alien evil god.

Jiang Chen simply stood up and stretched his stiff neck.

"Old Chen, don't just stand there dazed."

He turned his head to look at the group of interstellar behemoths fleeing outside the window, his eyes flashing with excitement: "Hurry up and check those aliens' databases."

"Although their character isn't great, these guys have been wandering in the universe for so long."

"Maybe..."

"Our navigation to 'Centaurus' can be directly 'borrowed' from them."

Academician Chen Shuyin took a deep breath, calming her wildly beating heart. She walked to the console and began to quickly parse the messy alien data.

"Jiang Chen, you really are a madman."

She muttered softly, while her fingers honestly tapped on the keyboard. "But... I like it."

She turned her head to look at this man who acted recklessly at the edge of the star sea, the corners of her mouth slightly lifting: "I have already translated the coordinates of that 'dowry planet'."

"Let's go."

"Let's go there."

"See just how delicious that 'last supper' left by those aliens really is."

The spaceship engines let out an earth-shattering roar. At the edge of this vast, boundless Milky Way Galaxy, filled with slaughter and conspiracy, this warship carrying humanity's hope and a madman was like a red-hot blade, fiercely stabbing into the depths of this dark forest.

Everyone knew. This was not just an expedition. This was an ultimate showdown over who was the "village chief" of this universe.

Jiang Chen leaned back in the captain's chair, holding the not-yet-awake Pikachu in his arms. He looked up at that endless deep space which seemed to have already sensed his existence, and smiled contemptuously.

"Come on."

"Whether god or demon."

"Since you want to play, then... I'll accompany you to the end."

The warship turned into a stream of light, disappearing into the deepest part of the void.

And in the afterglow of that light, it seemed that waves of desperate wails from those civilizations deep in the galaxy were heard, regarding "Don't mess with that Dragon Country person carrying a fishing rod."
